Chapter 23: mission accomplished

Everyone busy talking as they watched the group leaving the village while some looking at the pile of stuff from the trade. Few manage to get their own trade with their personal resources and beaming with smile but most only smile bitterly.

Surprisingly, they're pretty civilized and didn't immediately swarming the mountain of resources in front of them.

From the trade, the grain they got is almost 70 to 80 sack piling a small mountain. They managed to get all the roll of clothes from Buda and more than half their salt stock and other resources. Unfortunately, Buda still need those salt and grain for the other village so he buy with money instead. He returned to the town immediately to get more stuff to trade after.

No one brave enough to approach the good from the trade and they just looking at it with bitter and forced smile.

Lucis wait for a moment until the caravan is disappearing from sight before he approached the goods and appraised it. Everyone fixed their gazed at him as he circling the sacks and other stuff.

"Lucis, here the coin. i failed trading for more grain and salt. Buda use money.." Luna approach Lucis and hand him the 5 gold coin she got from Buda earlier.

Lucis just glace at Luna and shift his gaze at Yina that blend perfectly among the crowd.

"ehem, miss... Miss... " Lucis looking at Yina for a long time but didn't manage to remember her name. He quickly return his gaze at Luna again.

"what was her name again?" Lucis said with a very low voice feeling really awkward.

Luna immediately laugh loudly didn't even care of what Lucis feels.

"Yina, come here." Luna shout at Yina that blend among the crowd as if she doesn't want to get noticed. She's still look as skinny as one month ago and pale almost like she doesn't have enough blood.

Yina stunned a bit and walk forward under everyone gaze feeling very nervous. She quickly looking at her clothes and feeling very embarrassed of herself. She wear the most ragged clothes in the entire village it's almost like the clothes people use to wipe their feet.

"calm down, no one gonna eat you." grandma Nan smile warmly at Yina. She shake her head a bit feeling sympathetic at her.

"I'm.. Good morning mister Lucis." she quickly bow as soon as she stand in front of Lucis. She feel very nervous that she almost losing her consciousness.

Lucis raised his head and look at the sun.

"it's afternoon." Lucis said, some of the villager laugh.

"anyway." Lucis quickly change the topic after looking at how stressed Yina is. "can you make a clothes?"

"ah" Yina shout with surprised. Her face is red to her neck completely different from her pale look earlier. "yes, I can make some simple clothes." she nodded quickly.

"okay. A big order. I want you to make a winter clothes for everyone in this village with this... " Lucis pause and hesitate a bit. "is this enough?"

He's experience but not the all knowledgeable. He worried that the clothes roll is not enough for everyone.

"yes. More than enough." grandma Nan nod with a calm face as she sizing up the pile up clothes roll. All the villagers feeling exited after listening to what Lucis say. Free clothes gang!

"okay then. A winter clothes for everyone in the village and make a normal clothes for the left over for everyone too.. " Lucis pause and look at all the people around then return his gaze at Yina skinny body with a worried expression.

Lucis tilt his head towards Luna slightly. "whoever can help her please ask them to help. Use that gold coin to pay them."

Luna stare at Lucis for a long time feeling incredulous. 'did he just said he want to pay everyone to make their own clothes?'

Not only Luna. Even elder moon, elder Dun, grandma Nan and Boris surprised with what he said. It's enough to to gave everyone a cloth but he even want to pay them.

Grandma Nan want to say something but the word just stuck in her tongue.

Lucis look at the confused on Luna face and can guessed pretty much what she's thinking.

"I hope withe these, everyone can keep the secret of my ability from leaving this village. Just remember, attraction bring trouble." Lucis expression suddenly turn serious. He even cast a spell and make his clothes flutter a bit and swaying his hair to add the effects.

'damn, I must look really cool just now in their eyes' he feel smug a bit but maintain the lonely hero expression.

Different from what he thought. Most of the people frightened by him instead. They immediately look down and repeat the word he just said in their mind.

Everyone looking at Lucis in silence with a lot of thought running in their mind.

"ehem. I want you to make me clothes similar to this." his coldness quickly look awkward as he pull out the torn black jacket from his shirt and give it to Yina.

The people around Lucis quickly snap from their daze

"I'll leave it to you guys. Distribute everything here to everyone." Lucis quickly turn around and walk away with wind step. Every step he take almost take him 10 meters away.

"cool. Big brother look cool." the little kid eyes shining looking at Lucis back that slowly disappeared on the horizon.

The fear in the villager eyes turn into awe and respect. They all nod in understanding.

"I'll never tell everyone about it even if I die."

"hump, I won't even open my mouth if someone ask me."

"bah, I won't even think about it when someone mentioned about it."

"hmmp. I'll kill that person immediately If someone ever talk mister Lucis being cultivator."

And that, they start competing among themselves as whom the most loyal to Lucis.

Soon after, elder Dun with the help of his three wife start distribute the grain and salt to everyone in the village. Luna and Yina including every young girl in the village make another team and start discussing about their clothes project. There's some middle-aged women and granny mixed in the group as well.

Everyone feel very satisfied. Some even cried on the spot as they received the supplies from elder Dun. In fact, some even kneeling at him with snot in his nose.

Lucis didn't go to the underwater cave and stay in his house perfecting his plan for brewing foundation potion. Although he's very confident on building his foundation, he need 100 percent success rate before he begin.

The thing that make him think so much is how weird the wood energy technique foundation are. They're basic anatomy and some type of meridian written in the book he read before and there's also similar wood energy, but the technique from the jade is quite bizarre and complex.

The form of the foundation he got from the jade is similar to how body refining build their foundation but a bit more complex as though they're mix between magician, knight, cultivator and body refiner.

Although the success rate mentioned in the jade is higher than normal cultivator, the bizzare form of the meridian make him hesitated to proceed thus making him wait for the foundation potion.

"it says it take 3 day to complete but with my poor spiritual root I doubt I can do that fast..." he start having a second thought to proceed with it and l go outside and learn another technique instead.
