Little One

But there sweet moment was all too quickly interrupted by the noisy arrival of Cass and Oriana. They both came into the kitchen and where instantly startled by the two lovers locked in one another's arms.

Selena broke free instantly and Xavier stood protectively in front of her, knowing all too well her innocent personality, he wanted to protect her.

"I told you we should have taken a longer walk." Oriana scolded her husband. She thought they had been out long enough now to give the two a chance to talk. She would have walked all over the neighbourhood if she knew the two had gotten so close so quickly.

"Sorry wiffee who knew Xavier would get this far so soon." Cass smiled and winked at his friend, "Well done buddy."

Oriana saw Selena blush and take a step to hide behind Xavier, she rolled her eyes and hit her husband in the ribs, "Stop it, your embarrassing the poor girl."

Cass rubbed his ribs as he answered his wife, "What's to be embarrassed about? Love is beautiful." He turned to his wife captured her waist and tried to kiss her to prove his words.

"Enough of that, leave it to the young ones." Oriana chastised her frisky husband.

"I… we." Selena came out from behind Xavier and tried to speak but she was unsure of what to say.

Oriana came to her rescue, she was young once and her husband had put her in this same predicament many times before. She smiled at Selena as she said, "Now what's this you are making?" She glanced at the flour and herb mixture on the kitchen counter.

Glad of the distraction Selena answered with a bright smile, "It's my own Italian herb bread, I thought it could do for some sandwiches for Cass and Xavier's lunches."

"But we…" Cass was about to say that they ordered take away at lunch time but seeing Xavier's scowl he stopped himself just in time. Goodness his mouth was getting him into all sorts of trouble today he thought.

Selena wrapped Xavier's jacket around her she now realised the damp t-shirt had made her cold. "I will just go upstairs and change and come back and finish up if that's okay?" She asked turning to Oriana.

"Yes, yes of course go ahead sweetie." Oriana nodded and ushered her husband to the kitchen table so he could cause no more mischief.

Xavier could only watch her leave, he wanted more, and was eager to see her eyes made dewy by his kiss again he willed her to turn around. When she didn't he hung his head and turned to the back door heading into the garden.

But his feet halted, when he was saved by her melodious voice, "Xavier, I will see you tomorrow at lunch time?"

Her words gave him the hope he needed in that moment, stopped him from overthinking his actions. "Yes you will see me then little one."

Selena smiled and rushed to the stairs, his gaze was full of promises he hoped he could keep. Although she didn't know what she wanted from him long term, in this moment she did know that she wanted those lips, that heat and his body surrounding her again.

He watched her walk away before a flick of his wrist made him disappear. He wanted time to think, away from Cass's questions.

She went upstairs and changed her top quickly, her heart and mind was full of Xavier and the excitement his kiss had given her.

The rest of the day she spent making bread and a roast ham that would do for dinner and sandwiches tomorrow. She read for a while but her mind drifted back to the kiss at the kitchen sink. Often she found herself touching her lips wanting what they were missing. She shook her head and took herself to bed early.

Was she being too hasty thinking of the future already… probably? He was so good looking, he probably kissed every girl he met… her thoughts went wild.

But sleep didn't come easy she tossed and turned for a while before finally easing her mind and drifting off.

Later that evening Xavier returned to Cass's home, unable to completely stay away.

Xavier leaned against the wall just outside underneath her bedroom window until he was positive Selena was in a deep sleep. His profound hearing picked up her relaxed, calm breaths. He leaped up and landed on her bedroom floor, is footsteps where light and didn't wake her.

He could clearly make out her features in the dark, the moon shone in from the window and illuminated her soft pink lips and butterfly like winged eye lashes. Those luscious lips he had tasted earlier where parted softly in her sleep. Her long dark curls splayed over her pillow.

He now realised why his friend Cass would take so many photos of Oriana. The image of her sleeping peacefully was one he wanted to capture and keep forever. He decided to buy a phone just for this purpose.

Her chest rose and fell and it was the melody his heart had missed and longed for. She was alive and in front of him, he breathed out a breath he didn't realise he was holding.

He took a small step towards the bed before he could stop himself. He swore at himself, what was he doing? He shook his head and went to turn away, to take himself back out the window and back to sleep in his cold office alone and restless.

Then she made a noise. It was a small sound, a moan. But to his ears it was maddening, his body heated and his length hardened. He had to leave now.

He leapt from her window and landed just under her window. He breathed in and out for a while to steady his breathing.

Glancing down at his feet he saw his faithful familiar Rai sat smugly.

"Look after her." Was all he managed to say before he whisked himself back to his office. He threw himself onto the cold leather sofa and threw his hand over his eyes, wishing for slept to come. This night would be long and torturous.
