She smiled and approached the man who had kissed her senseless just yesterday, her breath stilled and her cheeks flared, "Hey." She greeted him and glanced away shyly.
Xavier had everything prepared, he had cleared the ground floor and offices. He had sent an email to all his staff that lunch was on him at a local restaurant, the lunch would take them out of the building for a few hours and he was delighted to be alone with Selena.
Today there would be no interruptions from any nuisances.
She was stunning as she walked towards him, she left him speechless each time he saw her.
He held back as his fingers itched to hold those hips that swayed in front of him. Her cheeks flushed and his smile broadened, he then realised that she had greeted him. Was she as nervous as he was he wondered?
"Afternoon Selena, I got you your own pass so you can come see me whenever you want." Xavier placed the pass around her neck and fixed her hair in place again to make her comfortable. He then took the lunch bag in his hand and held out his arm.
Selena was slightly stunned for a moment before she tugged her unruly curls behind her ear and took his offered arm. "Do men still do this?" Seeing his confusion she added, "I mean its really nice but old fashioned when you think about it. I mean next you will be opening the door for me and pulling out my chair… sorry I am babbling."
Xavier adored listening to her, "You are not babbling, I enjoy hearing your thoughts and opinions. And I may be old fashioned but, I think it is something that should been done. As long as I am here I will open your door for you, link your arm to keep you safe and pull out your chair as long as you permit me."
Selena nodded, "I suppose I need to raise my standards."
Xavier chuckled and called for the lift, "I hope I can keep up then."
Selena changed the subject, this was too close to flirting. She entered the lift with him and unlinked their arms, choosing to stand side by side with Xavier. She kept her eyes on the buttons that lit up as they reached each floor.
If she looked at Xavier she was afraid of babbling some more.
His close proximity and enchanting smile made her think about yesterday's kiss. It was more than just kissing. It was like eating when you have been hungry or drinking when you have been thirsty.

The lift door opened and Selena walked out quickly, his warmth was starting to envelop her and it made her uneasy.
Xavier followed her out and turned to the right showing her the way and oping his office door. She took a step inside and paused.
"Is something wrong?" Xavier asked, his dark brows furrowed with concern. Had he upset her he wondered.
Selena turned to ask, "Is Cass not joining you? I only came to give you your lunch and then resume my job hunt." She bit her lip, if she stayed she would only get more flustered. He seemed to bring out something new in her.
Xavier took a step forward and closed the door behind him, "No Oriana and he are having lunch together today."
Selena backed up, "Well then… enjoy! I will get going."
"No rush, I have a proposal for you." Xavier said as he kept walking towards his long leather couch.
Selena didn't want to be rude and leave him to eat alone. But she worried if she stayed she may be talked into another one of his plans.
"I don't know about that, I still don't know how you talked me into making you lunch for a week." Selena announced. The back of her legs hit the sofa.
Xavier smiled and helped her to sit comfortably. "This time it will be a mutual exchange. You will be doing me a favour and in turn for your expertise I will compensate you."
Xavier sat beside her and opened the lunch boxes, he spread out the food and cutlery in front of them both. He was a selfish man and wanted her company as much as she would allow.
Selena bit her lip, she thought for a moment. As she thought her stomach growled.
She looked down at her stomach, as she heard Xavier's melodious laugh. Her stomach betrayed her and she could no longer say she wasn't hungry.
Xavier smiled, "Keep me company."
Selena nodded, "So what can I help you with? It's not another week of lunches is it?" She joked.
"No although I would like it after this week if you can call in when you have time and see me. We can go for dinner maybe?" Xavier asked.
"Sure." Selena replied. She took a bite of what was Cass's sandwich before asking, "So tell me your next diabolical plan?"
Xavier laughed again, he hadn't laughed like this in over a century, "Diabolical?" He questioned.
"Yes, you tricked me once already into making you lunch?" Selena teased.
"Ah yes I am a shameless man and once I have had a taste I only want more." His eyes landed on her lips.
Selena cleared her throat and took a drink.
"And If I told you, it wouldn't be very diabolical, would it?" He quirked an eyebrow as he answered her previous question.
