China {Skyart} vs Europe

Disclaimer - (Cause fanfiction is tricky ground and I hope not to offend the creator of the original story and get sued)

I do not own "A Star Reborn: The Queen's Return", it belongs to its original creator Xia Wanying. This is only a fanfiction that I was inspired to write by the original work. Please support the official release. Most of the media - such as the art and illustrations, gifs, video's, etc. used in this fanfiction - are from the web. Thus, most of them aren't mine (because I really, really can't draw) unless mentioned. To fit the story, images are also edited by various apps and websites. So they aren't mine, just edited.

Also if you own a picture or Video that I found online, and you either want your name added, or me to take it down. Please contact me and we can talk it out. P.s. I also ask that you do not copy my work and publish it onto any other website.

If you're gonna use my idea, please ask me (If you ask nicely, I for sure, will agree). If I don't contact you within a week, then just assume I'm giving you the all clear and go for it. Just remember to credit me.

I will be writing out scenes even if my Oc isn't in them. As long as she's mentioned, or influencing the characters in some way. Or maybe because it influences the story. This may seem a bit annoying. But that's just how I write. I like to embed my characters into the story line. Because of this, most of the dialogue/scenes will come from the original work.

Today's Special

A Sister is someone who loves you from the heart.

No matter how much you argue you cannot be drawn apart

She is a joy that cannot be taken away,

Once she enters your life,

She is there to stay.

{Oc's P.O.V.}

After nailing down the specifics of my plan and how I was to act, I could do nothing but pace around the room. Which honestly, did nothing for my jumpy nerves, the packs of butterflies fighting in my stomach, or the threads of fear that were wrapping around my heart like they were trying to choke it.

I had no idea how long I stayed like that, constantly pacing back and forth. But I suppose it wasn't truly that long, because Su Tang came back before I had worked up a sweat.

Seeing me in the middle of the room, with my fingers tightly interviewed and the panic I was feeling clearly on my face, she was instantly concerned.

"Su Xue" She called my new name gently, almost as if she was speaking to an injured animal, "Are you alright?"

I opened my mouth, only to close it again. Dammit, planning it out was definitely a lot easier than actually carrying it out.

Here, Su Tang wasn't just a character. She was a living person who clearly loved her little sister. And what I was about to say, would crush her.

But it was better to just rip the bandit off. So I answered, "No, not really."

"Would you like to talk about it?" Su Tang asked, walking over to the bed and sitting down.

"Yes." I answered.

Su Tang smiled, and patted to the space next to her.

I walked over and joined her, she didn't rush me, but only waited patiently for me to gather my thoughts, like a good older sister.

Which only made what I was about to do even harder.

"Listen I- There's really no other way to say this. I got a scholarship from a great makeup school in Europe, one of the best in fact." I wasn't lying. Su Xue did receive an email notifying her of her of a scholarship in Europe. But she was planning on rejecting it and going to a school closer to home.

Lucky for me though, despite her having the email all typed out, she didn't send it yet, in favour of looking at some last minute details.

"And I'm assuming you want to go?"

I nodded.

"But you aren't sure how you're going to tell mother and father?"

"That's right." I nodded. "That's why I was so worried earlier."

"I understand." Su Tang nodded. "But, you're going to be far from home, and all alone in a foreign country. I'm sure mom and dad won't take it too well. So I can give you an alternative."

I wasn't so sure about an alternative, but it couldn't hurt to listen to her. Anything that'll help me get away from here.

"The young master is about to start up an entertainment agency."

My eyes widened, she's talking about Skyart!

Su Tang confirmed my suspicions, "It's going to be called Skyart. And if you can prove you're a skilled makeup artist, I'm sure the young master wouldn't mind hiring you. It will be in China, but it would most definitely be closer than Europe. And, it should shorten your career path, taking away the years of studying you'd have to go through before officially being ready. Of course you wouldn't be hired right away, you'd have to start as an intern, something you'd have to do abroad anyway. But here, I can guarantee you will be getting paid and that the business will be a success."

The benefits were there, there was no doubt about it. I know Li Lei takes great care of all his employees. That fact was stressed throughout the novel several times. And Skyart was one of the best businesses in the field, the only one in fact that could truly go toe-to-toe with Emperor.

But, because of Li Lei and Xia Ling, the company also was on Li Feng's radar.

"Could I have some time to think about it?" I asked.

My sister nodded. "Of course, this is a big decision."

The word 'big' didn't even begin to cover it. This decision would decide if I get to live, or die. There was no way in hell I could take it lightly.

I then smiled at her, "So what will we be doing today?"

Su Tang returned the smile, "Well there's this new cosmetic's store that opened up near..."

*****

I sighed as I flopped onto my bed, various shopping bags scattering out my room. Su Tang may have been horrible to Xia Ling and her son, but she clearly loved her sister.

Maybe if I could get her to actually care about her child...

No!

I quickly shook that thought out of my head.

First I need to focus on saving myself first, before I can even think about helping someone else.

In Europe, I'm sure the chance of me and Li Feng even running into each other is next to nothing. Well in Skyart it is definitely a lot higher.

But, at Skyart, I would be under the protection of Li Lei as one of his employees. And plus, the Li family had a rule that members couldn't interfere with each other's 'clean' business. Even in the story, when Su Xue had nothing to offer Li Lei, he still tried to help keep her safe from his brother. So Skyart may be the right choice.

Su Tang also made a great point, Skyart may be in China, but it's definitely a lot closer than Europe.

I should at least make an effort to stay close if I have the option. I took over the body of their laughter, I owe the Su family at least that much.

So I guess that's decided, I'm going to be working at Skyart.

I couldn't help but wonder if that means I'll be seeing Xia Ling, hmm, maybe even some Xia Ling x Li Lei moments.

*****

Have any of you guys noticed how things keep going our oc's way. Not meeting Li Feng yet, the rejection of the scholarship in Europe that Su Xue was about to send but hadn't yet.

Anyone wanna guess why, I guarantee you there's a reason. Feel free to try and guess it.

The book didn't really mention their ages so here's how they will be in my fanfic, both before and after the timeskip (yes there will be one - because I honestly can't wait for my oc and Xia Ling to start connecting about how annoying the two brothers are)

Ages Before Timeskip: Su Xue - 16 Li Feng - 24 Xia Ling - In her first life Li Lei - 19 Su Tang - 19

Timeskip: 5 years

Ages After Timeskip: Su Xue - 21 Li Feng - 29 Xia Ling - 19 Li Lei - 24 Su Tang - 24

(I'll leave this up for a few chapters - until the time skips the plan - which should be here in 3-7 chapters approximately)

The chapters are currently pretty short, but they will get longer once I hit the storyline of A Star Reborn.
