Basic Commodities!

Night was falling on the dark Autumn evening. A myriad of insects and birds could be heard through the still woods.

"It's getting dark, so we should probably stop here." A voice sounded out as a car parked just off the dirt path.

"Okay!" Goku jumps out of the car eagerly. "So we're camping here?" He smiled back as Bulma exited the vehicle leisurely.

"No way, I've got something cool for this." With Goku's curious gaze she grabbed a small box out of her bag. "Just stand back and watch this, you're gonna love it,"

At the words Goku jogged back a few paces and stared expectantly, almost hopping on the spot. With a soft giggle, Bulma grabbed a small capsule from the box and through it over to an open area. As it landed the capsule popped open with a hiss and a bunch of pressurized steam and smoke shot out of it. Inside the smoke and steam pieces of technology constantly enlarged and folded round till eventually a one-story house was planted on the field, the supports underneath it chugging away to equalize itself.

"What!?" Goku shouted at the clear display of otherworldly magic.

The house was spherical in design with two parts jutting out slightly with thick glass windows.

"Wow, you really are a witch!?" He giggled with stars in his eyes.

"I'm not a witch! Come on." Bulma walked up and opened the door. "Or do you want to sleep outside?" She strolled inside with Goku trailing behind her.

It was quite luxurious inside, a tiled red floor, clean white walls with circular electric light planted in the ceiling. There was a small table, a couple of soft seats, a large bed in the back with cupboards and a tv in the adjoined wall. The room the right led to another seating area with a couple of supplies and a smaller bed while the left door led to a marbled bathroom with a full-sized bath, toilet and sink with the regular commodities attached.

"Woah, it's so bright in here!" Goku comments, trying to take everything in.

"Such a country bumpkin." Bulma comments as she walks over to the Tv. "Here." She switched it on, with a flicker the screen flashed to life.

"What-bu- but there's a tiny guy in there!" Goku carefully strode over with his mouth gaped open.

Bulma couldn't help it and let out a hearty laugh. "Hahaha, Goku that's a Tv, its… I guess it's sort of like a moving picture book?" She explained to Goku, trying to calm the young man down.

"… Tee Vee?" He just stared at it curiously, his head tilting from side to side.

"Come on." She beckoned Goku over. "You need a bath, the car stinks because of you." She flicked on the lights.

"Huh, what's a bath?"

"You- you do wash yourself… right?" She asked with hope.

"Oh yeah, me and grandpa washed in the rivers near our house!"

"That's disgusting… Come here, I'll show you how it works."

Goku hopped over to the room to see Bulma trying to explain everything.

It's safe to say after around half an hour of attempting to explain the bathroom apparatus, Goku was still thoroughly perplexed. So unfortunately, this only meant one option was available…

"… Fine, put your clothes there, get the towel and I'll wash you. Just. This. Once." Bulma glared through gritted teeth. While she was in no way happy about this, he was just a kid after all, and she would rather do this than put up with the smell…

Goku nodded, taking off his clothes and grabbing the towel. He then trotted over to Bulma.

"For goodness' sake! At least cover your front!" She shouted at Goku who was just holding the towel to the side.

"Hmm?" He lifted it in front of his face naively. "Like this?"

… "Just get in the tub."

Through some protests she finally managed to get shampoo on him after Goku ate some and exclaimed his newfound hate of said item.

After a longer time than necessary, Bulma was finally able to relax, Goku still drying his outrageous hair.

"Say, Goku have you always had that tail?" She questioned.

Goku looked at his tail and back before answering. "Yeah of course, though my grandpa didn't have one." He chuckled away.

"Its just that I've never seen a normal human with a tail, I mean you could just be some sub species of anthropomorph…" She mused away to herself.

"Anthimopaf?" Goku questioned.

"No, it's an- never mind." She sighed in defeat. "You wouldn't get it."

"Oh Okay." Goku just laughed along.

Bulma passed him his newly washed clothes and stepped into the bathroom.

"I'm going to have a bath now, don't walk in, okay?" She 'asked' in a serious manner. To which Goku just innocently bobbed his head at.

Settling down in the bath after getting undressed, she could finally relax. Something she hasn't done since meeting Goku, so she just laid there thinking about the odd things.

She had been out on this journey for around seventeen days now, she still had forty to fifty days before school started up again. She wasn't at all excited at the prospect of going back to school, she had already aced all the exams, but her parents made her stay in school until everyone else graduated…

Her parents were always great with her, in fact she found it quite difficult to express how much she loved them. She had seen plenty of other kids from similar families that were brought up so strictly. In fact, even she was surprised when her parents let her go off on this adventure.

She always hated school because there wasn't anything there to connect with, everyone was either intimidated or wanted to use her for her family. After all, her parents were the owners of, let's just say a very large company. Everywhere but at home everything felt pushed on her, she felt like everyone was either expecting the best out of her or waiting for her to fail, slip up then laugh at her.

She didn't even believe in this oh great magic dragon, it just felt like an opportunity. She couldn't describe it, she had always wanted to do something different, all her days were filled with studying, socializing and work. Even her hobbies started to feel more like chores…

Everyone always treated her like glass, the precious Brief's family daughter with a good future set in stone. The first few times she got into fights at school, she never heard the end of it from all the officials… Lecturing her about how she shouldn't besmirch her family name, and that her actions were important.

She was annoyed that she could never be, her, always the Brief's daughter, not allowed to act on her own wants. She would have snapped by now if it wasn't for her parents. Every time she got into a fight or skipped class, they would always give her a talking to sure, but they would also just laugh along. They knew how much lecturing she would get by others and tried to soften it as much as they could. She noticed of course; she was very smart.

She sunk deeper into the bath, thinking as much as she dislikes school and everyone there, she couldn't wait to see her parents again. Not that she would admit it of course. But in these two weeks she'd been gone she had almost died around four times now… Though she was enjoying herself a lot, she even met Goku. His complete naivety was a nice change of pace compared to back home, though she would immediately regret this thought.

"Hey, Blooma?" A voice appeared at her side.

"GET OUT!!"
