Chapter 7

3 days before Yin came to Leaf Village

(Rin pov)

(Dream/Memory)

I feel that Kakashi has impaled me with his Chidori, I do not regret him doing this. I can already feel the tailed beast leaving my body.

'Thank you Kakashi,' I thought while feeling life being taken away from me.

I feel Kakashi pull his hand out and I fall to the ground dying.

...Or so I thought when this person wearing all black with their hood up comes out from the tree line and comes towards me.

When she got close enough, I was able to see their face, and I saw a woman of about 16 of age with olive-colored skin, with shadow black hair along with equally black eyes. I can also see that she has a little fang poking out of her mouth, giving her a cute look.

I don't know how, but she was able to connect her shadow with mine and a Rain Village ninja. What happened next surprised me.

I could feel my body healing, but I know that she isn't using in medical ninjutsu, so how?

I look back at the Rain ninja and see that he isn't looking too well, like if a bit of his life was being drained from him. That's when it clicks...she is transferring his energy into me, to heal me.

After that, I could feel myself losing consciousness. Before I fully blacked out, I heard her telling someone about taking me and Kakashi back to the Hidden Leaf. Then I blacked out.

(Reality)

I stir in my sleep by a bright light shining on my face. I moved around to try and get the light out of my face when I realized something about my bed. It felt different, and why are their people talking, don't they know I'm trying to sleep?! I was about to tell them to be quiet when I heard them say something that woke me up completely.

"...hospital for a few days, shouldn't she have woken up by now?"

I set up from the bed so fast that I was pretty sure I should've gotten whiplash, but I don't care.

"What's going on, what are you talking about, why am I in a hospital?" I asked quickly and confused.

"Oh you're awake, well if you want to know how you got here, your sensei Minato, was able to find you and Kakashi out in the woods a few miles away from the village. He saw how you both were and brought you here as quickly as possible," said one of the two doctors.

"Where is Kakashi?!" I exclaimed while trying to get up.

"You are staying here until we know you are fully okay to leave-" the other doctor started when suddenly, my door was opened, revealing Kakashi while looking down at flowers he brought with him.

He keeps walking, then looks up to see me awake. He then gains a look of disbelief before it turned to relief and he sprinted towards me and trapped me in a hug. I was about to tell him to let go when I heard Kakashi sobbing into my shoulder, so I just hug him back with just as much force while trying to keep the tears back.

After a few minutes of us hugging and crying, we separated from each other and I tried to ask Kakashi what happened after he used his Chidori, but all I got was that he fainted after seeing my 'seemingly' dead body on the ground.

I asked the doctors if I and he can talk alone, and they let us.

"Kakashi," I started when I suddenly felt nervous about what I'm about to ask.

"Yeah, Rin?" Kakashi asks, curious about what I am about to say.

"I...I had this dream, about this girl who appeared just before I died and saved me by giving me chakra from one of those Rain shinobi. I don't know if that happened or not, but I am grateful that I am still alive," I told Kakashi about my dream and why I'm grateful.

Kakashi looks surprised and then gains a look of deep thought. After a few minutes. The doctors came back in and said that I need to stay in the hospital for a few days before I'm released, to check if I'm completely ok.

I and Kakashi give the doctors a nod and Kakashi starts to leave. Before he completely left I said bye to him and to see him later.

Day Yin came to Hidden Leaf

(Rin pov)

'Finally!! I get to leave this hospital!!' I thought excited to leave the hospital after three whole days of being in here. I don't even know why I needed to stay for two of those days, though I suspect it was to figure out how I'm still alive after getting stabbed through the chest by a lightning-coated hand.

Anyways, during these three days: Kakashi, Minato-sensei, and even Kushina came to check if I was okay and to keep me company until I was released, though I think Minato-sensei and Kushina are in a meeting for some reason, probably something important if they both are in it.

The door to my room opened breaking me out of my thoughts. I looked and saw Kakashi there waiting to pick me up and walk me back home.

"You ready," he says acting like his usual self and I replied with a yeah, and get up and follow him out of the hospital.

On the way, I saw a familiar and yet unfamiliar face walking out of the Hokage office building.

When I saw her, I accidentally yelled, "It's YOU!!" At them, surprising everyone around including Kakashi.
