Earthling Shane

She turns herself away, feeling too awkward to stare in his eyes.

From her soft gentle hand she should be noticing his heartbeat as her hand rested right on top of his chest. But there's nothing, not even a single sound of thumping.

"I'll repeat once again, are you not afraid of me? it's just as they say, I've born without a heart. I'm the devil's chil.."

Before he could finish his sentence he notices his check turning red, leaving there is a pain of getting hurt.

She slaps him.

She looks down and her eyes appear to be dead. "H-how many times have I told you to stop mentioning that? did you just see what I did? you felt that pain right?"

"So what if you weren't born with a heartbeat, that won't stop me from treating you as a human."

"That pale skin, those white eyes and snow-white hairs, don't let them make you different, but consider yourself someone special, someone who's grateful."

"But if you keep talking about yourself like that then soon even I will start hating you just like those oblivious people."

With tears reflected by the sunlight, she makes herself to the school, running without shane. Shane has a remorseful look in his eyes as he stares at the floor with his red cheek.

This was shane, a 17 year old highschooler, an 'unOrdinary' teenager who was rejected by the society because of his strange display.

"Yep once again i couldn't make myself to that obscure building filled with many tantamount humans, but I wasn't the same, i- I no longer knew where I'd belong."

Shane walks away from the school after being too awkward to face it anymore, the place had never given him any fond memories to go back to.

Shane had been abused mentally

"Hey look, isn't that the zombie nerd walking around the hallways?"

"Huh zombie?"

"Yeah haven't you heard, he was born without a heartbeat!"

"No, way how creepy.. very stubborn for someone who should be in the cemetery, but he's here at our school."

Shane had been abused physically

*THAAAK* bastard, did you once again make me get the second best grades? how many times do you have to crawl under my feets to know that your place is in the hell, next time if you steal my my grades I'll murder you."

Shane had been neglected, and beaten to a pulp, but he never stood up for himself. He wasn't alone, there was always that one girl whom stood with him, she gave him the meaning of special-ness.

Whenever his only friend asked him for why he never stands for himself? why must she always protect him despite him being a guy he always responded: "I don't know, perhaps the fate wants me to have it."

Not because Shane was weak, it because Shane no longer had interest in life, he no longer felt anything.

The society had rejected him, of course no one was ready for a human who looked like a walking dead. People feared him because he wasn't like them, 'Rarity doesn't always call for uniqueness' this is what his ominous life taught him.

Shane makes himself stop near the bridge, he comes here to take a refreshing breathe because the sunshine sparkling in the water looks so calming.

He lay down on the grass and stares at the moving clouds.

With being neglected by the world, he always saw a dream about himself as an entirely different boy who adventured out in the space, at some point he thought it was just his imagination to escape reality but was it?

"I wonder happened to that prince going back to prison, And what about that princess who lost her family, will she be Happy?"

"But the prince was smiling this time, I wonder if I hadn't been awake would I have seen him crying once again?"

He raises his hand up to reach the clouds.

"Even if these worlds are different, nothing's changed, humans neglecting one self and embracing the other, all because 'He was different but he wasnt'."

"People who for some reason think they have the right to judge others."

"The school, having another seat empty, but no one is bothered."

"And as amusing as it is, the samurai over there is still slaying the strange monsters reflected to only in my eyes."

"Why do I dream about you? Who are you? Why do you only show to me? And why does everyone laugh at me when I talk about your world's existence?"

"Is it because if they'd laid their eyes on such fiends they wouldn't be able to hold their sanity? or rather because I should be in the dead too?"

"I never got an answer to why these creatures are in my eyes, and why do I always feel like I'm someone else, this world.. it's not mine!"

Shane had been a very special child, but he didn't realize that. His strange eyes could see what the normal people couldn't. Beasts in many forms and shapes that existed on earth from long, but the people were so unaware of their surroundings.

Oddly enough, they never attacked any human, But there was always a strange samurai that appeared to slay the monsters whenever they showed.

"Ah, the silent samurai is done slaying the monsters, he looks just like me, empty from the inside, are you suffering too?"

Shane stares at a woman carrying her baby inside a stroller, the child had been constantly crying, Shane notices a strange creature is attached to the baby, comforting itself as the child cries.

"It seems like they feed on humanity's negative energy."

Shane notices his ears ringing, A strange sort of lullaby enters his ears, it's a lullaby that let's him hear the cries of that prince once again.

Shane jolts open his eyes, he screams on the ground blocking his ears by his bloody hands, now the voice had become unbearable!

"AHHHHH, just what do you want to tell me?!"

He painfully let's his voice out, people around him start to creep out from him as they slowly walk away

"What's up with that kid?"

"Sheesh, don't look at him let's go."
