Escape (2)

". . . " Fyre became silent and continued to look at the actress until finally, he could no longer hold back his questions because it just didn't make sense to him. Why would the woman help him if she was with Lucien? Unless this was a trap, he wanted to know the answer. Even if the woman won't tell the truth, he trusts his ability to read people and he believed he would find out if there was something wrong.

"Why are you helping me? It doesn't look like you're held captive here like me so you're probably with them," Fyre mentioned, watching every little movement of the actress in case she did something like trying to contact someone without him knowing. Otherwise he would be forced to jump on her and constrain her, and make sure she wouldn't move even if she's sick.

"Ha! Don't be silly. I'm not trying to help you. I hated you. I hated you to that point that I wanted to ruin your life but I already gave up that. Besides, I just don't feel like doing anything right now. As you can see, I am not feeling the best all day. Also, it would be fun to look at that jerk's face when he finds out you've escaped from him again," Mitchel replied as she rolled her eyes after sitting up to look at Fyre again with a deep frown on her flawless forehead. On the other hand, listening to the actress' words, Fyre didn't believe her entirely but he calmed down slightly because it didn't feel like she wasn't lying to him either.

"Anyway, feel free to stay here although... it might feel a little bit uncomfortable," she added to which Fyre did not reply. He just assumed that the reason why the fellow actress said he might become uncomfortable was because they were both strangers and enemies to each other and not because she was actually currently in heat and that it will not be good to have a recessive Omega around her. Still, she didn't care at all as well since it was Fyre's choice to stay or leave. But of course, she knew Fyre would stay since both of them could hear how lively it was outside the room.

"I'll stay here for a bit then. Just until things settles down outside," Fyre said, crossing his arms, still unable to trust the woman.

"Suit yourself. I'll go ahead and continue my rest then since someone just disturbed it," Mitchel and laid down again. Fyre no longer replied anymore, besides he didn't want someone to disturb her sleep, she should have locked her door. But then again, he would have been caught by now if the door was indeed locked.

A little while ago, finally after carefully devising the strategy to invade the enemy's territory and discussing it with everyone who will participate on this raid, five SUV vans began to trail their way to their destination. And since it wasn't too far from the city, they arrived after only an hour.

"Don't go off somewhere without someone with you, okay? If possible just stay behind someone and they will do all the work for you," Hanlu instructed again for the hundredth time already. He had been constantly saying this since earlier and if Tian Zi was just not more focused on finding his lover sooner, he would have bickered with him. It's not like he didn't know his responsibility. He had no actual experience when it comes to an encounter with a real enemy so of course, he wouldn't be so stupid to act based on his emotions and lead the team to harm. By doing that, not only would he unsuccessfully save Fyre but it might cause all their lives. He was eager but he was not going to let that cloud his judgment, it's the reason why he carefully investigated all the necessary information that would lead to their success.

After all, he still wants to be with his mate and create their own family together in the future. They still have to get married and they are still preparing for pregnancy. Or even if they couldn't, he still wanted to be with Fyre for a long long time until the last breath of his life.

"Hey, listen to me. We're all worried about you. If I were to decide I would not have let you go here—" Hanlu scolded, hearing no reply from the younger Alpha but he didn't finish his words when Laotian interrupted him by taking a step out of the vehicle after their other members.

"Ahh, wait. I still haven't finished reminding Xiao Zi," Hanlu called to which Laotian replied with a sigh before facing his younger brother. For him, although he was worried about Tian Zi as well, he also trusted that he would be mature enough to think what's right and wrong. If he does something stupid and get himself hurt despite all the reminders Hanlu had been feeding since hours ago then that will be on him.

"Hanlu, Xiao Zi is already 25 years old. He's old enough to think for his own safety," Laotian simply said. His face is void with any expression. It may seem cold of him towards Tian Zi and Hanlu but he didn't care. Since he is the eldest brother, he should be the most rational one and the disciplinarian. Additionally, he knew Tian Zi pretty well even though they weren't that close and he knew that Tian Zi hated it when he's being treated like a baby. Well, he can't really blame everyone for treating him as such since he's indeed the youngest and all of them are just so used to him being the baby in the family. If even years pass by, that probably wouldn't change, ever.

Honestly, if he could just tell the young Alpha to stay behind like Hanlu did, he would have but he thought that if he put himself in Tian Zi's shoe and it was Daniel who was taken from him, he would not have been able to calm down. Perhaps, he won't be able to keep his cool compared to his youngest brother. Truthfully, he's very impressed that the troublemaker Xiao Zi that they once knew has now become so mature. Hanlu might find that a bit lonely since he was the closest to him but at the same time, they just have to accept that one day, their baby brother would go on his own way and make his own family like they did. They can't treat him like a helpless child forever.

"I know but, aren't you worried for him? This could cost him his life! Mom and Dad would kill us," Hanlu argued to which this time, Laotian did not reply and just stared at Hanlu knowing that whatever he would say, he'd never be able to change his mind.

Meanwhile, looking at his two brothers having a conversation about him, Tian Zi just rolled his eyes before proceeding to follow Nigel who has now taken over Aldrin's position after he retired a year ago. Since Nigel is still young and filled with vigor, he usually leads raids and enemy encounters like this for both commissions or Mo Empire's direct business so he's pretty good to the point where he's already surpassed both Laotian and Hanlu in combat after they become inactive.

Without any hesitation, Tian Zi took out his gun naturally following Nigel's signals. Because of this, both Laotian and Hanlu stopped and immediately followed as well, realizing they were not the best place to have an argument. They did the same thing and took out their guns as well. However, of course, Hanlu wasn't done with Tian Zi so one last time he neared him and whispered.

"Remember to always stay behind Nigel. Let him do all the work unrelated to your mission," Hanlu conveyed with a frown to which expectedly Tian Zi didn't reply again but that's okay since Hanlu knew as long as his message was delivered, the Young Alpha would listen unless he's really going to throw his life. Well, truthfully Hanlu was hoping Tian Zi to follow him so when the young Alpha chose Nigel instead, he was a little bit disappointed. But then again, it was probably the safest if he went with Nigel since he is that capable and he also wouldn't want Tian Zi to fight enemies. It's better for him to focus more on rescuing Fyre than facing who was responsible for this.

With that, they finally began their raid. They carefully trail the way inside the building while eliminating all the enemies they encounter along the way before they are separated into two groups. Tian Zi didn't have to do anything but he was still alert in case something went wrong. Nevertheless, his heart pounded nervously as he looked at his watch-like device where there's a blinking red dot on its screen representing Fyre's location.

"Who are—" an enemy suddenly blurted to which Nigel immediately grabbed and snapped his neck, giving him quick death.

"Young Master, we're now entering the building. Please be careful and watch your back, I'll handle everything up front," Nigel whispered and as Tian Zi nodded, he then signaled the two others in their group that the coast was clear and that the two of them should go in ahead. Since they have divided their team into two with Laotian being the leader at the other team, Nigel and Tian Zi was to enter at the east side and their primary goal was to look for Fyre while Laotian's team was to invade the whole building, restrain all their enemies, and hopefully end this madness.

So far, everything was doing fine and no one seemed to have noticed yet, probably because Laotian's team was already fighting in the front so they wouldn't be noticed so easily. Not to mention, there seemed to be one guarding the area so got in pretty quickly.

"The dot is saying he's here…" Tian Zi suddenly mentioned looking at the dot but seeing that no one was around or a place where Fyre could hide, there was only one reason for that. The Omega must have been on the upper floor of the room.

"But I think he's above us," Tian Zi added to which Nigel nodded without question. Thankfully, due to Tian Zi's convenient device, they will soon find their target and hopefully end this. Of course, that was only Nigel's wishful thinking as it was not that easy.
