But on his way he met again with the lightning sphere and John, an agent of the NSA Cole remembered all the damage done by that sphere and preferred to destroy it to become more powerful, but in his destruction he took John and killed him. Ready for the battle of his life he faced Kessler and the battle was difficult but he won in the end Kessler showed him visions of the future where a beast was coming that only he could stop, all this happened because Kessler and Cole was the same person, he had used his greatest and dangerous power to travel through time and Kessler trained Cole to become stronger so he could defeat it all to save the world.

Everyone was shocked

Issei: It can't be that sphere really has that much power.

Fetch: It does.

Vali: That's not the whole story, is it, what happened to Cole?

Fecth: well I'll tell you the rest of this story Cole had been contacted by an NSA agent lucy, when cole was in Empire City the beast was attacking everything because the timeline was altered it came too soon cole thought he was able to defeat it but he is defeated the city is destroyed and there he received the name as the demon of empire city being blamed for the destruction, zeke, his friend, saves him and is forced to flee to New Marais where the lightning sphere was manufactured, there he would look for a scientist, sebastian wolf, who was one of those who helped to manufacture it, while he was discovering the past of his other self and gaining new powers, he faced many things, but the beast advanced and was looking for him. Soon after a disease broke out in the world that only affected humans and not drivers, a device was created to cure it, the ICR. When Cole activated it for the first time, he felt how he died and quickly deactivated it because this device would save the lives of millions but it would kill all the drivers. Cole was in a difficult situation but in the end he decided to save the lives of millions by activating the ICR and dying along with the beast and all the drivers in honor of which he was remembered to this day as the patron saint of New Marais.

Issei: if he and all the drivers died fetch how come you eugene and I have powers and drivers like augustine appeared?

Fetch: because when all the original drivers died, gene 1, so to speak, new drivers appeared, gene 2, this time more common than back then, this caused fear and wars because of the events of the previous years.

Issei: No matter what happens, we have to stop black from getting the pieces of the lightning sphere.
