Triangled

"Eve, there's news" max exclaimed. She literally jumped off the couch.

"You found them?!" she asked

"No, not yet but there's a lead. Apparently, some surfers saw a jet that looked like the one in the picture we handed out, fly over the Atlantic ocean some time ago. We checked with them and it appears to be the same day the twins went missing. But the crazy thing is, the jet seems to have disappeared after that. The people believe it was dragged into the water by some force"

"What do you mean dragged in by some force?"

"They say..."

"Let's go" she cut in,

"We'll search the waters. We'll search until we find something. Our children are alive Maxwell"

He took a long, deep breath.

"Stay back, I'll leave right now with the sheriff and some of his men. We'll get some divers too. I'll call if anything comes up" he said.

He turned to leave and Evelyn hugged him from behind.

"It wasn't your fault" she whispered in his ear, tears rolled down his face.

"If we hadn't talked about sending her to reform school, this might not have happened, they would still be with us. We should have treated Irene better, we..."

"Shh. All will be well honey" she said. She wiped his tears and patted his shoulder.

"We'll get through this"

"Irene" Ivan whispered as he gave her a tight hug, she hugged him back.

"What happened? Are you hurt? how'd they get you?" he asked

"They didn't really get me, Drizella got me in here" she said as she freed herself from his grip.

"What? Why would you do that? Is this some sort of joke to you?"

"I couldn't leave you Ivan"

"You just endangered yourself too, those things are gonna eat us"

"I found a way for us to get out of here, alive"

"What?"

"First of all, even if I hadn't found a way, I would've still come to you. I couldn't bear the thought of leaving you behind"

"Thanks but, let's save that for when we are back home, safe and sound. How do we get out?"

"Driz, she's gonna get us out"

"How? I thought she couldn't"

"We need to get to the mermaids"

"Are you insane? They'll kill us. Only reason they haven't is cause they were too busy being mad at Drizella!"

"Well she said we have to be close for her to save us and she's there right now"

"That's crazy. Why should we even trust her?"

"Because she's about to give up her life"

"Huh?"

"They've got Dash too, Let's go"
