The next morning, William woke fully energized; Upon seeing his state, Laura, who had just brought him water to freshen himself up, asked.

"You look very energetic, as well as in a bright mood today my lord!"

William washed his face, took the towel that Laura was holding for him before he answered.

"Why wouldn't I? After a few days of hectic work, now I get to relax and wait for the prize!"

"Prize? What prize?" She asked.

Upon hearing the question, William smiled as he thought of all the future gold he would be making. 'I never thought making money is going to be so fun, should I just go the merchant route? With my family's connexions and my knowledge, I am sure I can be filthy rich in a few years.'

Thinking about this only made William's mood better, so he turned to Laura and said.

"All you need to know is that I will be earning money on my own pretty soon."

William went ahead and followed his usual morning routine consisting of, breakfast with family, training with Oswin, shower and then a short nap until lunch.

During the Bandit extermination campaign, William had stopped training for around a week, instead only doing some light exercises for that duration, which at most served to keep him in shape and prevent the loss of what muscles he had gained under Oswin's tutelage.

So once they were back, his "coach" had been adamant at making up for all the lost time, which without a doubt meant an overall very bad experience for poor William.

At around noon, William was once more woken up by Laura from his short nap; after which, he headed for the dining area to get his very much needed calories intake.

After the usual greetings, he sat down in his usual seat; William had noticed Marek's absence upon his arrival, so he asked his father.

"Marek is running late?"

"He is not coming, he is apparently busy with something." Lord Ulric responded.

Hearing this, William thought, 'Great! Now I can talk to father about business without worrying about brother.'

"I see...." he paused for a moment as silence filled the room, bearing it no longer, he asked.

"Soo...how did it go?"

"How did what go?" Lord Ulric responded with an almost imperceptible smile.

William was barely able to notice his father's reaction and immediately understood that he was purposefully dragging the matter.

"Come on just tell me please, I know you probably met a few of our guests this morning, so just tell me what did they think!"

The marquess finally allowed a smile to be expressed on his face. He looked at William for a moment before he said.

"Good...mostly."

"What do you mean by mostly?" William questioned.

"Well to say it bluntly, you oversold it yesterday, though the responses I had this morning were mostly positive, some had expected so much more than what they got."

"I see. But as long as most had a positive reaction, it's just a matter of time before all the others follow suit, I have no doubt that soon we will get our first requests for more."

"Can you and your merchant friend handle it?" The marquis asked.

"Honestly, not by a long shot, I have no more money to invest into more manpower, equipment, or ingredients, we have enough materials to work with for the time being but we need some time to make and sell some soap to the people of Landow first."

Lord Ulric looked at his son for a bit before he said, "Do you need some help son?"

William just smiled and responded, " Thank you for the offer, but I think I should try to struggle on my own for a little bit, if I can't make it then I will take your offer."

The marquess just nodded as they changed the subject and continued with their lunch.

After lunch, William made his way to the warehouse area next to the city docks, with his usual five guards tagging along.

Upon reaching it, he headed for the small warehouse that they had rented for their small business; once there, he entered and headed for Edmund's office.

As soon as William entered and was noticed by Edmund, and before he even got the chance to greet his merchant friend. Edmund asked with anticipation.

"Sow how did it go?"

William looked at his business partner, amused by the situation. 'So this is how my father must have felt during our lunch, it's quite funny."

"How did what go?" William responded with some confusion, though this facade was almost shattered immediately as the urge to laugh came close to overpowering his self-control.

"The event !!!" Edmund slightly shouted in frustration, before he remembered that William was the marques's son.

"Em... I did not... I am sorry that i.." He stammered a bit as he tried to apologize.

William at this point could no longer hold his laughter, and so he let go of his control. He felt bad for Edmund for sure, yet his slight guilt was way overshadowed by how funny this was.

"You should have seen the expression on your face Edmund, it was priceless." William managed to express after he had regained some self-control. Upon seeing Edmund's slightly pitiful expression, who by now had realized that he had been "pranked" he went on.

"Sorry man, it was just a joke, don't take it to heart."

Edmund quickly regained his previous expression of expectation as he asked once more.

"Just tell me how did it go already."

"Fine! It went pretty well, for the most part, I think we can expect news to spread out in a week or so, by then we would probably get our first customers from higher society."

Hearing this, Edmund was ecstatic."Great!"

"I told you man, just follow me and you will make it, money is not going to be a problem for long," William stated, seeing Edmund full of joy.

Indeed, his situation had gotten better ever since he had met William; now he no longer needed to deal with the loan sharks, and though he still had a debt to pay, he was now treated as a partner rather than a slave in all but name.

'Soon. All will be well soon." He thought.

He was woken up from his momentary state of joy by William, who asked.

"What about our regular product? The humble regular soap might not be that profitable per unit, but when it comes to bulk sales it becomes a giant cow that we can milk for a lot of profits."

"Ah yes, a few people have already started looking around for someone to sell them soap, but we can expect many more in the days to come." Edmund answered.

"Great!! All that is left now is the question of pricing. How about we add about fifteen percent to the production costs and call it a day heh?"

"Fifteen percent? We have a complete monopoly in the market, there will be a high demand and the product is genuinely beneficial and useful to the people. Any merchant would double the price three times over at least." Edmund questioned, not understanding why the price is to be so low.
