ELEVEN: RUNAWAY

She hears her name and turns to see Daleth by the wall. She doesn't want pity and he clearly reads her well because he doesn't show it.

"Amalya" He walks to her side and pulls her up. "We've got Rosie. Our memories have been programmed to be restored within 24hours but we need to go. This building is about to collapse."

She wipes at her tears and look at her father one more time. She closes his eyes and walked away with Daleth's arm draped across her shoulder and her arm round his waist. They do not run or walk faster. They watch others run and panic as the wall keep getting cracks with some already crashing down. It is odd that this time, walking through the wall actually got them to different places. The other captured teenagers are kept in a different building that seems more like a kind of rehabilitation centre which actually belonged to her father. Now it's hers, Amalya has to keep Rosie there. Just till she comes back to her senses.

As for Luke, some people never change. She's not sure she can trust him again. Actually…She never did. She will probably never.

Now, there is one thing left to do. The church. She tears her pale blue top from the edge and wraps it round her bleeding knee. The fabric instantly gets soaked with the blood.

"Why don't you guys go on without me? I need to do one last thing," She tells Daleth who is still trying to support her.

He scrunches his bleeding nose.

"Where exactly are we going?"

"My old house, me, my mum and Omarr used to stay there before..... You know the rest."

Amalya was pretty sure everyone wanted to ask what happened to Omarr but was afraid of the answer. Truth be told, she never found out what happened to Omarr.

"Where are you going to?" asks Daleth.

"I'll tell when I am back. I'll be fine." She limps away from him.

They wouldn't like what she is about to do but…she is positive that all is over.

She hears the priest singing. Perfect timing, She limps past the flowers by the road side already drying up.

Not sure she has been here before; she slips through the door with sandy feet.

She stops few feet away from the priest.

He stops singing but doesn't turn. His garment, white as snow, "Just like your mother," He started. "Innocent sweet girl but put in bad situations."

"I came to return this …." She reached into her pocket and pulls out a black amethyst flower. "I need you to keep this safe. Destroy it if that's what's best."

He smiles "I'm sure you saw the whole plant dead on your way in."

Oh! so that was the drying up plant she thought.

He walks towards the alter after taking it from her. "I can make better a breed for these."

"Better Bread?"

"Yes. They are called the slate-grey Jades."

"We'll see …" He places the flower on the large bowl of water at the foot of the alter. It floats round and round.

"I'll be leaving now. My friends are waiting."

"Peace be with you." He says and Kisses her forehead.

Feels like a father that Castello never was.
