into the unknown? i

The sky was looking happier than usual and same could be said about Ronnie who's aura seemed to be different. That was because she was able to find time to meet up with Gregoria in a restaurant a few miles away from her house.Gregoria was her best friend since high school. They were each other's ride or die, so being able to see her after quite a while was what made Ronnie's Mood much better especially when she's not dealing with her sister stealing her spot light according to her.As soon as she stepped foot into 'Le Allumette Resturant', She saw Gregoria sitting by the window side. Her short permed black hair gave her face a unique look which Ronnie couldn't deny was absolutely beautiful."Hey bestie" Said blue eyed Gregoria with a smile on her face as she saw Ronnie."Hey." Ronnie said taking a seat. In the days of high school, she would've ran and launched herself at her but then Ronnie feels that they were no longer children, silly kids living in their world of imagination but rather adults living in the real world. A woman of class, she calls herself."Of all the restaurant in the states you chose the potato restaurant?". Ronnie still couldn't believe, she knew she shouldn't have let her pick out the place."Solanum tuberosum as I like to call them, potatoes are the cutest of all tuber crops. So why not potatoes?""Still a Nerdy nerd huh?" Said Ronnie placing her order."So why the meet up" Asked Gregoria as soon as the waiter left."Well. I need to get my hands on something.... confidential and I need to work my way from inside out." Confidential? Since when did best friends keep secrets from each other". Gregoria eyed her food before making eye contact with Ronnie. This statement which Gregoria made provoked a laughter from Ronnie leaving a quizzical expression on Gregoria's face."Excuse me, We are best friends alright but then can you swear on your dead grandmother's grave that you don't have secrets"When Ronnie saw how Gregoria became all of a sudden quiet she then said."I'll tell you when all this is successful and everything falls in place""What exactly am I helping you to do?" Gregoria asked." Just making a simple phone call." A statement that ended with a shrimp in Ronnie's mouth."I'm a fan of potatoes and you are a fan of sea food".

Ronnie answered this with a nod.

Isabelle's mind kept drifting back to what was supposively a dream.

"you haven't touched your food yet Miss Isabelle". Clara was wondering why Isabelle has being staring into thin air all morning. 'She must still be thinking of her mother' Clara thought.

"oh" Said Isabelle coming to the sudden realization that she hasn't touched her food. She tore her eyes away from what was on her plate to the dinning table that had only one person eating on eat, which was her. She might as well start getting used to being alone.Throughout the afternoon she found herself flipping through pages that wrote about creatures, ancient history books she doubted the old man she had dreamt about was even human.

Of every book she's come across, she couldn't find any creature that was similar to it.

"A griffon?" She questioned no one. "No, they re cats and he didn't have a huge wing bursting out of his back"

She didn't even see his face.

"I'll go there tonight. That is if it wasn't a dream". She said and slapped the thick mahogany paged book shut. She came out of the library, with her fingertips trailing the stair railing slowly as she walked down the steps. As she was about to turn, she stopped and started staring at the hallway that led to East wing of the mansion. And then it hit her, she hadn't been visiting her mother's grave and dropping flowers.

She said whispering to herself " I'm sorry mama. I'll visit soon."

The breeze heard these words, slowly wrapping itself around them as they left Isabelle's lips it led the these words out the window flying in the air like a leaf into the cemetery and landed on Evelyn Wilton's grave before dispersing.Evening came faster than she had expected, when the clock struck eight. she ran in a haste with the key in her pocket. According to the dream she had, she remembered seeing the door behind the weeping Willow which was a few meters away from the oak tree. She found the door and slipped the key into the key hole, heard a click and pulled. The dark welcomed her yet again. " I guess it wasn't a dream then". She said and jumped in.

Why would a normal person jump into a dark hole? maybe because this , this exactly was the type of thing that excited her, mysteries and unanswered questions. Her life was already filled with unanswered questions like,

who is the woman her father left them for? Her name?

What exactly did Grandma patty see in Sir Julian?

Who exactly is this sir Julian?

What was the cause of her mother's cancer?hoping she would see the wrinkly old man and ask questions that related to his existence in her garden and the door."Who goes there?". A female voice spoke making Isabelle turn, confused at the sight of a beautiful woman slowly emerging from the shadow with a terrifyingly beautiful appearance, having the white wings of an Angel sprouted from behind her. As she came in view, her full appearance left Isabelle's mouth wide open in agape, mixed emotions flowing through her veins. Fear and Shock.'creatures like this don't exist' 'Perhaps the history books need to be updated'. She thought.'This woman has no legs but the tail of a snake'The room was brighter than the last time she was here, a few more candles were placed. Isabelle were still staring at the tail, slowly backing away." I sense fear, you don't have to be scared." Her calm and soothing voice convincingly drew Isabelle's attention away from her tail while sending a warm feeling that ran down her spine." Why are you here?" The creature asked."I'm looking for a wrinkly old man?" A statement that turned out to be a question out of confusion."What Wrinkly old man?" The creature tilted her head and Isabelle saw pointe ears."What type of creature are you?" Isabelle couldn't help but ask. Of all her years of flipping through thick books, she had never ever come across this."You were talking bout an old man?" Isabelle's question was pushed aside with another."The old man I spoke with yesterday,""Oh I see you've been here before. Well, as you can see there isn't any old man here but me."'I could've sworn i met him , what's going on?' Isabelle thought."Now why are you here?" asked the unmoving creature."Out of curiosity I guess!" she sighed looking at the flames of the candles as they danced.Honestly speaking, she couldn't give a perfectly good reason why she was here. maybe she was tired of her everyday routine.

'Why is she giving me the same answer?' thought the unmoving creature.

" You want to know something?" The creature asked walking closer.

"I don't exist, I was never here, you never saw me, all this is an illusion..a figment of your imagination.. an illus..ion.. an ill

This action triggered a memory from last night"Are you trying to hypnotize me?"

The creature was taken aback by the question.

"That was the same trick the old man used on me and I found myself in bed thinking it was all a dream". The last piece of the puzzle was finally fixed in the right place, he hypnotized her and she some how found herself back in her room. No, no, it hasn't been solved, this only lead to unanswered questions like 'how did she get back to her room?'As a few thoughts were flying about in Isabelle's head, the creature took note of this girl. Her reddish brown hair and brown eyes, her small pointed nose , she looked really familiar. The creature had a feeling that this girl, this girl looks exactly like someone she knew but who?.After giving it a thought, it appeared to be true, she did look like her. Exactly like her. Isabelle looked exactly like Eve."follow me"The creature said turning around, giving Isabelle a better view of what her wings and tail looked like from the back. The creature led her farther into the dark, she could've been scared but then there was this feeling she had in her jellies that she could trust this creature. And besides, she wanted to know what was at the end of all this. she came so far not to just turn back.

She didn't know where she was going but the creature seem to do perfectly.

"its a dead end" Said Isabelle."What you see and what you think are two different things" The creature said." Just keep walking forward, even tho it seems like its a dead end, you might be amazed by what you see"Isabelle walked closer, her motion becoming slower just in case there really was a dead end, She knew not what she was doing neither did she know what to expect from all this. Still moving forward slowly she turned her head to check if the creature was still there but it wasn't."Where could it have....Her words mumbled by the scene that stood before her.

Isabelle thought all that stood in the dark was a dead end but unknown to her it was the beginning of something great and different.
