Chapter 8 The White-eyed Sorcerer and their past revealed

Rico opened his eyes as he hears murmurs around him, he look around and to his surprise he was in his child-like form like around 4-5 years old alone in an empty room. He saw a shadow coming from the room's door half-opened, he walk slowly and take a peek outside he was shock to see a queen fighting someone as she strike the enemy by her blue raging fire, but then Rico heard the queen shouted her husband's name as she shriek. Rico could feel the horror in the atmosphere and he wanted to look at the enemy's face, he slowly opened the door and saw the king's head cut out and lifted by a huge man with his face covered in a red cape, the strange man's evil laugh was heard all over the castle. Rico was so terrified to see a head as blood ooze from its neck.

"No! King Ferru! What have you done to him! You evil king of Veroma! I assure you that you will not be called the greatest king that you wanted because someone will kill you Seres! Someone will!" The queen shouted while she was crying and shouting on her knees. Rico widened his eyes when he heard the name Seres again.

"Well, I see you got a little boy there Queen Sara" a husky and cold voice suddenly said as Rico look up to see Seres approaching towards him.

"No! Don't even touch my son!" The queen said as she stands up and blocked Seres on the way.

"Son?" Rico ask himself as he saw a huge painting of the royalties with a baby on the middle, he then realized that the royalties of Samari are his parents.

"Step back son! Close the door!" Queen Sara said as her body flamed up with blue fire, Rico was froze into fear as he tried to move his little body but seems like he can't.

"Rico! Close the door now!" his mother repeated but he can't move even his fingers.

When suddenly Seres flamed up and struck the queen's body with his powerful red fire, but the queen keeps on fighting with her blue flame. Rico can see the tears in his mother's eyes when the red flame gobbled her up.

"No!" Rico shouted as he tried to move.

"Rico… avenge the kingdom" that's her mother's last words when she turned into ashes.

"No!!!!!" Rico shouted again as tears run from his cheek, then he look up to see Seres' face still covered in red cape.

"Rico huh? I see… you should supposed to be the future king of Samari huh?" Seres said as Rico give him a glare.

"I want to kill you, but I can sense your wondrous power from your tiny body, so what if I'll just take you and make you an advantage to be one of my sorcerers huh? What do you think" Seres asked as his deep cold voice makes Rico cringe.

"Haist… this boy is still weak" Seres said when he heard Rico whine.

"I hate that sound, geez… you need to take a nap" He said as he covered the young boy's face by his huge palm then Rico suddenly pass out.

Rico suddenly opened his eyes as he heard a knock on the door,

"It's a memory from a dream" he said to himself as he pants. He slowly seats in the huge bed as he look around and amazed by how wide the room was. The room was painted white and clean, he tried to recall what happened after he passed out but then he remembered their fight with Seres and Niffa being grasp in the neck.

"Niffa?" he gasp as he run towards the door and quickly opened it but then to his surprise Niffa was standing in front of the door with a shocked face.

"Rico? You're awake" Niffa said, then Rico suddenly hugged her tight as Niffa was so confuse from his action.

"What's wrong?"

"I… dream about my past".

They decided to go downstairs as Rico saw an old man seating in front of huge wooden table with a vacant 10 seats on it.

"Who is he?" Rico ask Niffa as they walk downstairs.

"He is Merfoy the white sorcerer and the ruler of the 5 kingdoms distributed power."

"Sit and I will explain everything" Merfoy said as they approach him and took their seats facing him.

"I'm the white-eyed sorcerer Merfoy who lived for almost 1000 years in this earth. My father Farghan created the divisions between 5 kingdoms and gave the royalties each of his powers to rule a peaceful and magical surroundings. But my younger brother wanted to become a royalty so he betrayed our father and killed the royalties of Veroma whom my father enthroned the red flame."

"You mean Seres?" asked Niffa as Merfoy nodded.

"Seres is your brother?" Rico asked

"Yes, it was only me and Seres who was left when our father died by passing his flames to the kingdom"

"But… why does he betrayed him?" Niffa ask this time.

"He was not contented being a red-eyed sorcerer and was jealous because I'm stronger than him. But I sometimes blame father from what happened to Seres because he thought Seres was weak while father always compliments me, he becomes furious and cold hearted so he run away and left me as he choose to ruined Veroma to get the red flame but he failed."

Niffa and Rico was surprise to hear Seres' past life.

"The black flame was given to the kingdom of Jihilya which is the second kingdom conquered by Seres but he failed to stole the black flame from the royalties. Then my father gave the blue flame to the kingdom of Samari who was once ruled by the ancestor of Queen Sara but Seres killed them as the kingdom was abandoned for many years, he failed to get the blue flame again instead he kidnap their one and only son who should supposed to be the next king."

Niffa and Rico look at each other as Rico remembered his dream.

"The green flame was the strongest flame for it signifies nature and supremacy of all the living things, the parents of Queen Luize ruled the kingdom until their last breath but when Queen Luize married the strongest mortal warrior Morphis, Aldon becomes more powerful and secure but their powers suddenly vanished for their daughter was born and all was passed to her. Again my evil brother declare a bloody war between Aldon and Veroma but he failed to get the green flame upon killing the royalties, but the daughter was not traced by my magic book so I don't know what happened to her"

"Magic book? What do you mean by that?" Niffa asked.

"The things that are happening from the kingdoms are all written there it is being written by itself Farghan entrust it to me so that I will know what was happening."

Niffa and Rico look at each other again as they felt a little hope to know more about the kingdom of Samari.

"The white flame was given to the kingdom of Thamali, and it is the only kingdom that was left the royalties lost their powers too for they passed it to their only son but to their grief their son was lost and they reached me for help as we look for information in the magic book but nothing was written. I promised King Devion and Queen Rui to protect the kingdom until we will find their son."

"You mean there is a possibility that he is alive?" Rico asked.

"Yes, and I already knew who kidnap him"

"Who?" Rico asked.

"Seres"

"Then why don't you tell the royalties of Thamali about it?" Niffa asked.

"I'm not sure despite that he is the only enemy that I knew so far." Merfoy said.

"But why is that Seres can't get the flames from the royalties?" Niffa asked.

"Royalties can only pass their flames to those who have royalty blood, too sad for Seres we don't belong to royalties."

Then Merfoy suddenly stare on the two and sharpen his look as he tried to scan them.

"Your eyes are different young man I can see a blue soul in you but was covered by souls that does not belong to you" Merfoy said as Rico widened is eyes from his words.

"What do you mean by that?" he asked.

"The violet flame doesn't belong to you" Merfoy said as he keeps on staring on his eyes.

Niffa and Rico gasp as Niffa turned to Rico in confusion. Merfoy approach Rico from his seat and slowly put his right palm in Rico's forehead as Merfoy close his eyes, Rico was confuse from the sorcerer's action as he felt the warmness from his palm.

"I see…" Merfoy keeps on saying as he seek from Rico's memories. He remove his palm and smiled.

"Rico… so you are once Seres' sorcerer, I'm sorry that my brother pass some of his evil powers to you but thanks to the parents of Queen Luize for passing some of their powers to you. So that's how the red-eyes of yours turned into a violet one, how about you young lady?" Merfoy said as he approach her and place his right palm in her forehead like what he did to Rico.

It took minutes for him to see her memories when suddenly Merfoy saw the bright powerful light that she and Rico created which burned the forest, to their surprise Merfoy quickly remove his palm as his face was in terror.

"What's wrong Merfoy?" Niffa asked.

"The powerful bright light… how did you do it?" he suddenly ask as Rico and Niffa look at each other with such shocked and confusion on their faces.
