The Real Reason Of The Emergence?

"What about Spirit Realm. You must know of the collapse. Do you know of a way to solve it?" (Oscar)

"I don't know a way to solve that problem. It is too complicated for me." (Nox)

They were chatting with each other. Oscar was asking questions about Nox's life at Spirit Realm. Nox was asking about Oscar and the Human Realm. While they were talking Aiken and Owain returned the room. Owain was absentminded. Things he learned shook his view of the world.

Owain was living a calm life a few hours before. He was pressured by the expectations of his family but it was still manageable compared to magic and weird ethereal creatures. It is hard to process all of it in a little amount of time.

"What did I miss?" (Aiken)

"Nothing much. They confirmed they are cousins." (Lydia)

"Oh. Nice? Anyway what are we going to do now? Can we do something about the spirits? The time limit you told us is almost over, you know." (Aiken)

"Time limit?" (Nox)

"The Moon Spirit, Amaris told me that there were two months before collapsing of the Spirit Realm. She said that spirits will descend to Human Realm. Its almost two months now. Only a few days left." (Oscar)

Nox was surprised to hear his cousin has met with Amaris. She was the Guardian of the Spirit Realm after all. One of the few people in their world that is protected from any possible danger. Normally it should be impossible to meet with her. But she meets with a human which is another realm that is quite hard to believe.

"What she said, as the reason for the collapse?" It was the first time Aiken and the others hear Convict's voice. They were startled by the unexpected voice. It sounds like an artificial being. They felt chills on their spine.

"She said that Guardian was dying. Death of the Guardian is causing to collapse of the Spirit Realm. And because of the collapsing, spirits start to emerge in our world. We have been dealing with the stray spirits so far." (Oscar)

"It is not the real reason." said The Convict. Drawing everyone's attention to itself. Oscar raised his eyebrows and looked at it with curiosity.

"I don't understand. I thought that it was because the Spirit Realm was collapsing that spirits emerged," said Jason. He was petting his spirit cat, Fiebon. It was looking at the Convict intensely.

Everyone was sitting inside of the hideout of Oscar's team. It was an old house which was belonged to Jason's late grandfather. They were filling each other about the information both sides were missing. But after what The Convict said everyone stopped talking. Even Nox was surprised.

"What do you know?" (Nox)

"Amaris is the last guardian. Yes, her death is affecting the Spirit Realm but it's not the cause of its collapse. The realm is kept standing all this time because of the Heart of Magic. It's the real core of Spirit Realm and the guardian's job is to protect it. A thousand years ago it was damaged. It stop generating mana for Spirit Realm and caused all of the spirit race to weaken." (Convict)

"This... Why are they coming to our world?" (Oscar)

"Because it said to be there is an artifact in Human Realm. Which is capable of repairing the Heart of Magic. I don't know much about it but it is said to be able cause disasters in this world. Taking it from this world can bring trouble... no disasters for humans. Spirits are looking that artifact all over your world now." (Convict)

After it finish speaking there was a heavy silence in the room. Even Nox was shocked. He didn't know this. The Council, in his eyes, was a bunch of hypocrites. But to think they would go as far as to destroy another world to save theirs was unexpected for him. The convict didn't really clarify it but it was obvious from how it talked. This might have good results for me, he thought. He glanced at his cousin. He was stronger than he first thought. Against the Council or Rebellion, Nox can't win alone. While he was on his way to the Rift, Rebellion let him past without a problem. This was concerning for him. The person behind the Rebellion is a very dangerous individual. Him allowing Nox to pass without an issue only means he has plans for him. And no one except for him can order Rebellion.

With the help of Oscar and his team, he could fight against the Council and Rebellion, he thought. Seeing that Oscar didn't even know the true identity of their grandfather, Nox lost the hope of him knowing the secrets of Hex and the treasured artifact of their grandfather Blood of the Queen. He needed to find another way to grow stronger.

Meanwhile, Oscar was clenching his fists. Everything he heard now was shocked him first then enraged him. If what the smokey guy said was true then all this time he was fooled by spirits. By Amaris. Yes, they didn't ask anything from him but he was dealing with small fries while they were looking for the artifact that can cause disasters in HIS world. Said disasters could possibly cause deaths of hundreds if not thousands.

"Kairi. Is what he said is true?"

'I don't know. I can look for it in the archives but without the name of the artifact I can't find much.'

Oscar looked at the Convict. He gulped and took a deep breath. Something he couldn't clearly explain was causing him to be nervous.

"What is the name of the artifact they are looking for?" (Oscar)

"It must be the Eye of The Odin. Unfortunately, I don't know anything else." (Convict)

It was something he heard in myths. Odin was the Allfather of the Norse Gods. Odin lived in Asgard, the home of the Norse gods. As well as being the god of war, battle, victory, and death, he was also the god of magic, poetry, prophecy, and wisdom. He wanted to gain True Wisdom and the ability to see everything on Earth. But to gain True Wisdom, he knew he would have to have a drink from the Well guarded by Mimir, the wisest man in Midgard.

The well was near where the giants lived in Jotunheim and lay under a huge ash tree. Mimir was not hospitable he asked a high price for what Odin wanted. His right eye. It was depressing, especially when Odin thought about the eye he would have to lose forever. And about the terrible pain. For when the gods were in Midgard, the Land of Men, they had to feel what men feel, and suffer what men and women suffer. But Odin knew he would have to forfeit his eye to gain the wisdom he needed to save the World.

Mimir laughed. 'Many are thirsty for my waters, but they do not get to drink from them. No one has yet agreed to my price. You must give me your right eye."

Odin considered one last time if the price was too high for him to accept. His pale blue eyes were the color of the sky on a bright winter's day when the frost is hard on the ground. His eyes could pick out the tiniest bird miles and miles away across the frozen tundra. If a human, or even a god, looked him in the eyes, they could not but feel a kind of awe. But in the end, he did have only two of them.

'I will pay your price, Mimir." And so saying, he tore his right eye from his head. The pain was searing. He gave it to the guardian of the Well. Mimir handed him a horn brimming with the waters of wisdom. Odin took a deep drink. Immediately he saw everything that had happened and everything that was in the future.

Some say that Mimir kept Odin's eye, some say it is in the depths of the Mimir's Well. There aren't any myths about what happened to the eye Odin gave Mimir. It would be hard to find it if not impossible.

'Oscar... there are records of it in the archives of my clan... What it said might be true.'

This was the last drop before he was truly enraged. His eyes glowed crimson with rage.
