Chapter #2: Wasn't this supposed be action story not a horror?

The next morning Hecate got up and after he washed up he went out to his courtyard. He explored the mansion yesterday night so he planned to explore the outside today.

Tuma left the goat's body and went into the jade hairpin Hecate wore.

It seems that the original owner had good taste. There was a small bamboo forest and a stone-paved way between it. After going through the forest he saw a lotus pond. As he was walking with the small goat towards a wooden parasol placed on an elevated platform in the middle of the water, he was also looking around the scenery. He admits that this courtyard is really huge and grand.

He would've appreciated it if it wasn't for the bad premonition that's been there since he entered the forest. A type of gut feeling that is warning you about a danger. He only experienced it once when he was almost shot to death by a sniper in his original life.

Hecate didn't look back as he walked towards the stone table and chairs that were placed in the center of the pond. He noticed that the bad feeling got stronger when he took the first step forward. He immediately turned and walked back to the mansion. The little thing by his side hurried to follow him.

Only when he got inside and made the servants close all the doors and windows did his heart relax. After calming down from the rush he asked Tuma that was silent from beginning to finish. Since he never had a system that was directly in his head he would forget about it unless it is talking.

[Hecate: Tuma, you don't have any sensor that checks if there is any danger?]

[...]

There was no answer. Not even a noise. He was starting to get slightly worried. The silence wasn't only about the system. The whole surrounding has become silent. The clacking sound made by the hoofs were gone as well.

"Servants! Come and open the windows!". No footsteps could be heard. He waited and listened for five minutes. In the end, not one person came.

Hecate started to notice that something was not right about this mansion after walking around it for the second time. Normally he would have quietly run through the whole place in one minute since he explored and memorized it. At least he thought he did.

He tried running first but dismissed the plan after almost running into a wall for the second time. This mansion was not the one he woke up in yesterday. There were some additional rooms that looked similar to his home's rooms in the original world.

He went out after confirming it during his second walk. Hecate stopped when he came into the forest. Then he sat down and went to sleep.

When he opened his eyes he was still in the forest. But he was lying down instead of sitting. He didn't get up. His body was weak and could barely breathe.

[Tuma: Host! Host! Are you okay? There is a problem!]

[Hecate: What is the problem? How many people are there?]

[Tuma: I only detect one person. But how did you know there was a person?]

Hecate was seriously wondering if there was anything that would increase his system's IQ and EQ. Shouldn't the first thing it does when the host is targeted by a dangerous person offer a plan?

[Hecate: Can you widen the scope of the radar?]

[Tuma: It's not a radar, it's my ability. So, the further it is, the harder it will be for me to go beyond concealment techniques.]

[Hecate: I don't care just check if there is any other person. ]

Tuma increased the scope under its host's command. When it did, it found almost a hundred people around them.

[Tuma: HOST!!HOST! WE'RE SURROUNDED!!!]

[Hecate: I figured it would be like that.]

He got up from the ground shakily and he exerted all his recovered power to walk towards the direction of the mansion. It took almost ten minutes to reach the doorstep. The small goat that has been nibbling on fresh flowers by his side came jumping to him when it sensed him leaving.

Then something unexpected happened. When he was about to pass the threshold his legs stiffened and he couldn't bend them. His arms that were supporting against the doorframe straightened against his will and pushed him back.

He wanted to move and lessen the impact of the fall but his body was no longer under his control. Then suddenly a hand reached out and swept him up in their arms. The baby animal was startled from the sudden appearance of the man and bleated as it jumped away.

His consciousness faded away before he could see the appearance of the person.

***

My name is Tang Mu Xing.

I am a cannon fodder system host. Basically, my job is to fulfill the wishes of the people who died with grievances. I traveled through a lot of worlds and helped countless people.

This world is an ancient China type world. Usually, this kind of world would be about a fight about family standing and fame one possesses. This world was basically one too.

The protagonist is a concubine-born son. Like any other story, he became strong and defeated anyone who stood in his way. The person that I am resolving the lingering wish for this time is a guard of the Xu Family. His name is the same as mine. He died protecting the main wife's son Xu Tu.

The protagonist hired assassins to ambush him while on his visit to the ancestral home in Nanning. The wish of this guard was not to take revenge on the protagonist who killed unscrupulously but to protect Xu Tu who he looked up to.

This character is a person who barely has any description and there's no one left who knew him. I can be OOC as much as I want to. So I decided to keep Xu Tu away from danger at all cost.

I prepared a sleeping gas, a paralyzing pill, and a few more things that would keep him motionless. Then I plan to use the opportunity that presented itself when the Left Minister Xu is going to be gone for a long time to lock him up.

It hasn't been long since I was appointed as a guard that would specifically protect Xu Tu. Also since he rarely leaves his courtyard unless it is necessary I never saw him. It was understandable that I was shocked when I saw him for the first time.

When he went out to his courtyard that day he wore a light blue robe that fluttered whenever the wind blew. The belt around his waist highlighted his slim waist. He had delicate features. It was a beauty both masculine and feminine resulting in an androgynous feeling. The way he gently caressed the small goat, the way he smiled when it ran around happily after being put down were all so elegant. It was rare to encounter people as good-looking as him even in the fantasy world with beautiful elves and captivating vampires.

I watched him walk into the forest. That was when I released the sleeping gas and hallucination gas. Then I watched him fall asleep.

As an experienced person, I knew that even if your target is immobilized you should still be cautious. I decided to observe a bit longer and wait for the gas to fully permeate his body.

Then suddenly the boy started to wake up. Not even a minute passed before he got up and started to wobble towards the mansion. I followed after him secretly and when he was just about to enter through the door I used ghost pollen on him. It caused his body to stiffen and the limbs to straighten. Seeing that he was going to fall backward head first due to the effect, I rushed out to grab him. Learning from my previous mistake I used a stronger dose of sleeping pills on him this time. Thankfully it worked fast and he fell asleep again before he could see my face.
