A New Face

"Welcome to the tournament everyone!" A person greeted them as they opened James' carriage door. The same message could be heard all around James as many other people opened the doors to the other carriages. The people doing this were the local police and government of the current town they were in.

The town's name is Rockshard and it has been the home of the sect tournament for many years according to Noel. The reason behind this was the fact that the town was in the middle distance wise between all of the sects involved.

In addition, the town had such a power that rivaled those of every sect participating in the tournament so if one stepped out of line they were able to handle the situation easily while also keeping good relations with the rest.

"Thank you!" James said with a smile as he stepped off of the carriage. The person that opened the door for them was a younger man that seemed to only be a few years older than James.

James had appreciated the kind greeting and waited outside for Noel and Cara to step off but when they did he found something that he didn't appreciate about the man, "Hey if you keep looking at them like that I'm going to spray your blood all over this ground." James said with a happy smile as he suddenly pulled out his sword placing it on the neck of the man holding the carriage door.

The second that Noel and Cara had begun stepping off the man's eyes became glued to their body looking all over it which made James very angry. He could understand looking at them once and appreciating their beauty as he did but staring at them for so long with such a lustful gaze drove him insane.

"I-i am very sorry sir it will never happen again." The scared man sputtered as he tried to get James to take his sword off his neck. If one were to pay attention one would also realize he had peed his pants with a small wet spot appearing in the middle of his pants.

"Good." James said in anger before walking off with Noel and Cara who were smiling after seeing the affection shown by James.

What they didn't realize was that the rest of their group had seen the altercation as well making Patriarch Colton sigh knowing the tournament was going to be rough while the two other participants were shocked at the scene.

"So they are actually that obsessed with each other?" Robert questioned in shock as he had heard the stories of the trio from many of the other disciples. During Cara's entire time in the sect, she had been seen as a flower to many so she was asked out on dates pretty regularly.

However, ever since James had come into the picture there had been none of those except for a few who had gone mysteriously missing the next day. Even the Patriarch looked into the disappearances and found nothing so he told everyone to leave the trio alone and to not try and seek anything romantically from any of them anymore.

Robert had heard of this while training and thought of it to only be a baseless rumor. He thought he had more than proven that the rumor was false after meeting James and seeing how normal he and the other two were but after the scene just then his thoughts had been reversed and he saw the true light of their relationship.

"How envious." Seele sighed next to Robert catching him off guard. Seele hardly ever speaks and hardly talked during their entire ride. Even when she does speak she normally has some kind of stutter out of nervousness but this time it was clear and concise on how she felt.

"Envious?! That looks crazy!" Robert said in shock as he had never seen such a thing.

"Exactly." Seele said with a scary smile as she also followed James and crew inside of the building ahead of them. Robert could only silently be shocked by the comment as he followed in as well with the elders and Patriarch soon following in from behind.

Back to James, he with Noel and Cara arrived at the entrance to a huge arena that seemed to be the big centerpiece of the area around them. All around where they landed seemed to be landing zones going as far as the eye could see while on one side of the arena, James could see many buildings that appeared to resemble hotels.

From what he could guess it seemed to be where most people stayed when on the large arena platform or the nearby area, "That over there is where we will all be staying after we check in. That is the Rockshard City Of Lights." A voice suddenly said beside James bringing him out of his thoughts.

When he turned his head to his left he saw a new group of people he had never seen before. They all wore white and light blue robes while having mostly pleasant expressions on their faces.

There were two old men and then two younger men accompanying them at each side, "Oh really? What makes it the city of lights?" James asked not caring about who the random strangers were.

"Well, you will find out when it becomes dark here. It will be an experience best enjoyed when not knowing what's going to happen." The old man who had spoken up before continued keeping a smile.

"Well, you aren't wrong about that Old Man Edd." Noel said with a knowing smile toward the old man. It seemed like she knew the man.

When the man took notice of her presence his older eyes suddenly shot open in shock before he began stuttering slightly, "M-ms.Noel! What a surprise to see you here, I thought you hadn't arrived yet!" The old man named Edd nervously said before bowing his head slightly.
