I didn't have to decapitate or crush the hearts of the troops I just need to make them incapacitated.
So I charged my targets to their arms, legs, napes, eyes, and dicks to make sure they wouldn't be able to land a hit on me.
'I can always go back and kill them later, I just need to make sure they aren't a threat,' I tell myself as I tear the arm off of a soldier.
As time went on I became even more deadly as I learned and killed efficiently.
A pathway began to form as I cut through the sea of soldiers leaving screams and cries in my wake.
This frivolous battle continued for many minutes as body parts flew in multiple directions and the lives of many faded while they soaked in their own blood and the blood of their friends.
Midway through the third way of troops a change took place.
A sharp whistle blew and the soldiers scattered in every direction like spooked rats.
I came to a stop while still holding a soldier by his neck.
"P-please!" He coughed while begging.
Yet, his voice was just fuzz as I simply twisted and broke his neck before tossing him away like a rag doll.
With the clearing of the forest and many presences beginning to escape my senses, I started to wonder if I had won.
'Didn't they say that they were ready to give their lives to stop me? So then why are they running away?'
My question didn't go unanswered because in the next second I force came charging at me.
Luckily I still had a clear mind and I instinctively managed to dodge.
An explosion rang out and as the dust settled a saw a bloody finger shining in the debris.
I looked in the direction that the finger came from and a man came into my view. It was the same person who commanded the waves of troops and gave the speech.
"Tsk," The man complained. "I didn't expect to lose that many troops so quickly, I guess it's time I earn my paycheck."
After saying that the ring finger of the soldier began to glow and a moment later a flash happened before a second explosion took place.
Like the last time I was able to dodge it, however, I had to activate a couple of speed abilities.
'Holy shit, that's fast!' I thought to myself surprised that I had to use mana for the first time in the war.
"You even managed to escape from that range, you really are a monster," The soldier said with a monotone voice. "It doesn't matter if I kill you or you kill me, either way, this battle will lead to the same result."
Dashing towards me the soldier's three remaining fingers on his left hand began to glow.
'Shit,' I think to myself as I activate multiple defensive abilities.
The soldier's speed wasn't greater than mine but the delay was reduced by a huge amount to the point I now had to do more than dodge.
Appearing in front of me a flash of bright light covered the forest before three separate explosions took place.
Luckily I managed to raise my hands to defend myself and even take a step back which reduced the damage a took by a lot.
Yet, as the dust cleared a sharp pain spread out from my arm.
A small cut had been made on my right arm that caused a single droplet of blood to appear on the surface of my skin.
Raising my eyes to look at the suicidal soldier my eyes flashed with understanding as read about the warrior in front of me.

'Well, that's the most perfect set of abilities that complement each other. I've never seen anyone with such good luck, well other than me.'
Now knowing the attacks of my opponent I knew it was just a matter of time before I would win.
The soldier needed to sacrifice a body part to create an explosion and the attack was guaranteed to hit which was why I got a cut. Also because of his last ability, he can charge at someone and in theory, his opponent would be the one to take the most damage.
Unluckily for Guil, he met me.
When the soldier saw that I came out of the exchange with only a scratch a dark expression filled his face but confidence soon took over.
Immediately all five of his fingers on his right hand began to glow.
My mind started to race with ideas while the soldier picked up his pace and charged toward me once again.
'His confidence probably comes from the fact that whichever one of us dies here will level up the king. Willow already explained how the king's abilities worked so even if the soldier killed me or I killed him the king would still level up no matter what,' I concluded as five different yet simultaneous explosions blew up in front of me.
Being pushed back I still had my arms raised and more cuts appeared although shallow.
Yet, the now fingerless soldier didn't show any signs of stopping.
'Suicidal fucker,' I cursed unable to find any way to stop the inevitable leveling of the king.
Suddenly, another glowing light appeared through the shoes of the soldier, I was even able to tell that there were tens of lights.
'Will he start sacrificing his arms next?' I wondered while the ten lights appeared in front of me with another explosion.
More and more cuts covered my arms as a light trail of blood trickled down to my fingers.
'As much as I would like to keep playing with him, it's time to end this,' I concluded as a wave of death essence emerged from my body. 'It doesn't matter if the king levels up, I bet it will just be him unlocking essence. But, what can he do against me?!'
