In the bar Arthur immediately noticed the presence of another being.
The person who had just walked in was level 21. This was the second-highest leveled person he had seen since he came to Terrius so, of course, he was interested in the person.
Downing the last of his drink with a single gulp Arthur stood up to go over to the person.
However, before he could, some random man was standing in his way.
"Brat, who do you think you are? Why were you sitting in my seat?" The random man sprouted.
"Your seat?" Arthur scoffed at the absurdity of the situation.
Arthur thought the man might be some big shot but when he looked at his status panel he was only level 9 and didn't have a gift.
'Who is this NPC and why is he bothering me?' Arthur thought to himself, all he wanted to do was have a nice drink to level up and have some peace and quiet. But now nobody was ruining his time to spend with the level 21.
"Of course, it's my seat, I've always sat in the best seat! Don't you know who I am?" The man spat as he got right up in Arthur's face.
Arthur was now getting pissed off and he didn't want to waste any more time on him. Although Arthur didn't want to kill anyone in the bar in the instance he would get banned, thus his patience was now being provoked.
"I've always sat in this seat and I've never seen you before so shouldn't it be my seat?" Arthur argued back.
Honestly, Arthur didn't care one bit about the chair, he just liked that it was off to the side and no one bothered him when he sat there.
Yet, his territory was being invaded and threatened thus Arthur felt obligated to stand up for his chair.
"Look here you little fucker, it's my seat, it always has been and it always will be," while the man was saying this he lifted the sleeve of his shirt to reveal an X scar.
Arthur wondered if this was supposed to mean something to him but nothing popped into his mind. However, everyone else in the bar instantly quieted down and turned their attention away from the both of them. Arthur didn't let his detail escape his senses, but even then he knew the man in front of him had no strength to back up his statement.
Maybe he was part of a cartel of some sort that had a backing but even then Arthur was confident enough to bring it down on itself if they dared to mess with him.
Before Arthur could respond to the man's provocative nature the bartender actually spoke up on his behalf.
The bartender who knew the identity of the man as soon as he walked in prayed that his golden goose would recognize the man but his worst fears came true.
Rather than backing down and away from the leader the young boy was standing up to the man and it didn't look like he was willing to scurry away.
Leviathan knew he had to interfere even if it was against his best judgment. He couldn't lose his most important client or else his bar would regress back to its original state.
Having no choice but to put himself in the crossfire and curse the young man under his breath he said, "that's a seat reserved for that young man. If you'd like, I can pull up another chair and you can take a seat over here." Leviathan explained this while pointing to another section of the countertop.
Just as Leviathan expected this infuriated the leader and it looked like he was going to have a spasm.
It was clear that he was not used to being told no and that he always got what he wanted.
"You!" The leader with the scar pointed at the bartender, "stay out of this, it's between me and the boy. That is unless you would like to be involved." The man let out a bright smile that was full of missing teeth yet the intent of the threat was still there.
Leviathan gulped but stood straight even if this could be the end of his store altogether.
There was no way he could call the authorities as they were most definitely on the leader's payroll and would probably end up helping him rather than following the law.
Knowing that there would be a lot of free rounds Leviathan whistled for some of the big guys to come and help him out. Whenever there was someone who wasn't supposed to be in the bar he would call over the biggest guys and give them free drinks for removing the person.
Leviathan figured it would be best to let them have a few free drinks rather than let his bank end up getting himself killed.
But contrary to his expectations every big burry man not only ignored his whistle but put their heads down.
'You motherfuckers!' Leviathan thought to himself. 'You only help when it's in your best interest.'
Although Leviathan was annoyed he couldn't blame them. He would never risk his life for a few drinks so he understood why they also wouldn't.
However, one person stood up when he whistled. When Leviathan looked over at who it was his heart dropped. He knew who it was all too well.
The person walking over was the only female who ever came to his bar. She showed up randomly one stormy night with tears in her eyes asking for a place to sleep.
Leviathan being the kind person that he was, let her have a room in the back to take shelter.
The girl ended up staying with him for a month helping out with customers. But just as quickly as she came she left and he never saw her again.
But now slowly walking towards him was that same girl.
She was wearing baggy clothes and had a hat on but he knew her identity even if she was trying to mask it.
Without a doubt, it was the east side's overseer.
