Forced to Marry

Hot food arrived at the table one by one. Her stomach growled in expectation.

Bzzt, bzzzt, bzzt.

The words Lu Beichen were displayed on the caller ID. She excused herself and went to the bathroom to pick up the phone. She did not even get to say hello, and his cold voice sounded through the speaker.

"Come to the royal hospital now. Grandma wants to see you."

Her mind went blank for a second.

"What's wrong? I'm on my way," she said hastily.

She speed-walked back to their table. He saw the concerned look on her pale face.

"Jason, take me to the royal hospital."

He nodded his head. "Let's go."

They paid the bills and left. Jason had also gotten a call from his mother that his grandma was at the hospital. He had a feeling that something was going to happen.

The royal hospital was originally built for the royal family, but recently, elites and wealthier families have paid millions to receive treatments from top-notch doctors there.

They went directly to the VIP room that Grandma Lu was in. The hospital had renovated a room to monitor her health due to her status specifically.

In addition to the two newcomers, Beichen, the King, who had his hand around the Queen's shoulder, and Grandma Lu's attendant also appeared. They looked very solemn.

Grandma Lu's tiny body was covered in a blanket on the bed. Her wrinkly eyes were closed. The years had taken her, and she looked fatigued. However, this did not diminish her former grace. She had always been a classic figure.

"Mom, what happened to grandma?" Jason asked.

He was worried about the pale figure on the bed. She was his beloved grandma, and she shared many memories with him as a kid. She was the least strict one among the elderly in his family and indulged in his every playful way. He was sad that she did not look like the energetic grandma who used to play with him.

The queen held onto her youngest son's hand.

"Your grandma's old illness suddenly acted up," she said regretfully.

He was speechless. "Mom, grandma will be okay."

Then, the old lady opened her tired eyes.

"Grandma!"

Beichen, who had been sitting by her side, grabbed onto her cold hand.

The old lady looked around the room and spotted Yanyue beside the door.

"Xiaoyue, come see grandma." One could barely hear her faint voice if they were preoccupied.

Yanyue walked over to the bed and stood next to Beichen.

Ever since she entered the room, her eyes never left Grandma Lu's wise face. Her mother passed away when she was little, and this person was the only one who genuinely cared for her. Even though she was not her real granddaughter, the old lady was not biased and loved her wholeheartedly. She did not want anything to happen to the only person she could truly call a relative.

"Grandma," she said. Her voice was weak, and tears threatened to spill from her eyes.

"My child, you have become a beautiful young lady. You look just like your mother," said the old lady as she reminisced the past.

Then, she turned to Beichen. She looked at the young pair before her. She had never seen two people so compatible with each other in her ninety years of life. These two could lead the world into a better place when they stood side-by-side.

She understood her grandson's contempt for the young lass, but she also saw his burning eyes for her.

Her grandson grew up under intense competition, and the harsh environment around him shaped him to become a prideful and unapproachable person. A real king needed these qualities, but it did not do him good in matters concerning love.

She regretted that such a fine boy was born with heavy responsibilities. But she would not let him endure the long and hard life alone, so she planned to engage the two people.

She hired people to put drugs in her grandson's drinks and had people take Yanyue to his room. She knew what would happen to two people under such circumstances. She hurt the two children in front of her, especially the weak girl who had no one to turn to, but this was the right path for them both.

Their fates were decided long ago, and the gods intended for their union. Their union was inevitable, and so was her death. But she could not let her grandson delay his youth for an unworthy woman like Wanyue, so she had to coerce them into marriage before she left the world to unite with her husband.

"Ah Chen, Xiaoyue... I don't have long to live, so I want you two to get married in three days."

Everyone in the room was speechless. Beichen frowned, and Yanyue was confused.

Jason looked at his brother with subtle hostility, tightly clenching his hand. His brother did not love Yanyue. Their engagement announcement was so sudden that Jason did not think it would happen because he knew his brother would find a way to void it. But it looked like his grandma was serious about their marriage.

"Grandma, what are you saying? We won't get married because Grandma will always live a long life," Yanyue said.

After hearing her words, Beichen was even more gloomy. He snickered, thinking this was her trick to gain sympathy from his grandma.

"Right, nothing will happen to Grandma; I've already contacted all the best doctors to treat your illness. You will only get better," he said, echoing her.

He also did not want to marry her. He would only marry one person in his life: his girlfriend, Wanyue.

Grandma Lu was not interested. She was adamant about her wish and impatient with the two stubborn youths denying their inescapable fates. Even though she was not going to die soon, her days were numbered. She would have to resume old tricks if she could not ask them nicely.

She coughed harshly and breathlessly. "If you two don't get married in three days, then I'm going to die right now!" She coughed again. "Do you want to see me die in front of your eyes?!"

Yanyue's heart could not take it. The old lady's frail body shook as she strained every ounce of energy to cough. It looked like she could leave them at any moment.

Beichen was on the side, fuming silently. He hated the woman beside him but would not let anything happen to his grandma. If she wanted him to marry, then he would promise her. He could terminate the marriage anytime he wanted in the future.

He said loudly and firmly, "OK, grandma. I promise that we will get married in three days!"

Yanyue was speechless yet again. She was sure he would not promise anything, but he easily yielded to Grandma Lu. She could not tell if he was serious or just playing along with the old lady, which was most likely the latter.

Grandma Lu saw his stern gaze and smiled. She knew her grandson well. He probably did not understand himself because of his strong sense of responsibility toward that woman, but once he got over that hurdle, he would see who he truly loved. She could only help him this far.

She breathed a sigh of relief and closed her eyes. "Good, good."

After that, the old lady's attendant told everyone to leave as the patient needed to rest properly.

As she exited the private hospital with Jason, Yanyue received a text from Beichen: "I need to speak with you. Go to the underground parking lot."

She sighed. This man would not let her breathe for a second at all.

She responded with an "Okay." He should prefer a simple answer like that.

She told Jason she would take a taxi back to the studio since he needed to return to his shoot. He only reluctantly agreed after his manager called and yelled at him to return as quickly as possible.

They parted ways, and she secretly walked to the underground parking lot.

A gleaming black car stopped before her, and the tinted window rolled down.

"Miss Shen," the driver said. She looked inside the car and saw that Beichen was behind the passenger's seat. He did not spare her a look, which was a result that she expected and had already gotten used to as well.

She opened the door and sat far from him. After such a thing, she did not know how to face him. Should she be shameless and ask if he meant what he promised to Grandma Lu?

But she hesitated. Who was she lying? He was not the type of person to compromise easily. Even if that were a promise he made to the old lady he loved dearly, he would find a way to get rid of the things he did not want, such as herself, who was an eyesore to him.

The air inside the car was unbearable. It was undeniable that he would be in a bad mood after what happened in the hospital. They were silent throughout the whole way to Bayside Garden.

She followed him to his bedroom. The mess from this morning was already gone, and the room was tidy. Nobody would know what they had done last night in this room with the evidence gone.

She closed the door and turned around to face him. She also wished to clarify the so-called marriage with him.

"Beichen, the marriage—"

But she could not finish her sentence as her body was pinned against the door, and her lips were attacked ruthlessly by his.

"Hmmh!" She pushed him away with little to no avail.

His kisses deepened as he sucked her lips and reached under her dress to fondle her breasts, pinching her perked nipples. Then, he snaked down her slim stomach towards her wet and tight interior. He stuck two fingers in her.

"Ahh!"

Her little gasp made him lose control completely. He lifted her dress off and opened the zipper on his pants to free his bulging member. He was desperate to be in her.

With his clothes still on, he pounded into her core and took a breath away from her. The sudden thrust scared her, and it made her body tremble.

"Why are you doing this?" she thought but could not say out loud.

Soon, the pain was gone, and she was overwhelmed by the pleasure that he gave her. He wrapped her feet around his waist for better penetration. She clung to him like a lost baby koala.

He turned her around and pounded her from behind while his hands remained on her chest, massaging and pinching them until they turned red.

His breaths were all over her ears as he nibbled on her earlobes, making her body shiver warmly. The light pecks he placed on her nape gave her goosebumps. It felt like someone was teasing her with a soft feather, causing her body to writhe in ticklish discomfort. Her mind refused, but her body undoubtedly loved the intricate touches of his lips; it craved this kind of gentle ministration.

She thought he would stop after reaching his peak, but she was wrong. He carried her to the sofa, and they did it there until he came two more times.

After he was satisfied, he pulled out of her body.

He looked at the pale and curvy body against the shaded fabric of the sofa. Her worn-out expression marked his self-esteem with pride.

He smirked and went into the bathroom.

When he came out of the bathroom, she was already sleeping. Her breathing was steady and quiet, unlike the last time when she snored a little.

He placed a blanket on her naked body to stop her from shivering.

At this moment, he thought that he did not mind marrying her. That way, he could keep her body all for himself. He could also keep his grandma from getting more sick if he married the woman his grandma liked.

Ultimately, he decided that this woman belonged to him alone, and only he could play with her.
