"Thank you to my fans from all around the world for honoring me with this award. I will continue to work harder in the future to show a better me. Thank you once again, and I love you all!"
At the end of the acceptance speech, the audience under the stage cheered and clapped. Many held their flashy neon fan signs while chanting loudly: "Jason! Jason! Jason!"
The celebrated star waved to the crowd below and afar with a radiant smile. He was confident, and it was all thanks to the outfit he wore, which was made by his favorite person. He could not have imagined looking any better than this.
The cameras continued to capture Jason as he walked off the stage to his seat in the VIP seating area.
Yanyue turned the television off. Jason looked dazzling in the sparkly purple suit, which his fans thought highlighted his well-toned body. The outfit also contrasted his usually youthful and gentle appearance with that of an attractive and mature man.
Even though reproducing the suit to its original state was nearly impossible, Yanyue created something out of the cut-off shreds. Ultimately, she felt that this version surpassed the original design; it had more texture, making the suit more distinguishable and unique.
After the award ceremony, Klotho had seen a rise in its production. This was owing to Jason for being their brand ambassador. His popularity affected Klotho positively, especially in making up for the loss that they had been experiencing since the plagiarism accusation.
However, this would only temporarily solve their problem. To return to normal and increase production, they must solve the plagiarism issue before something else happens. Knowing how brutal her stepmother could be, especially when it came to getting what she wanted, Yanyue felt slightly discouraged.
The team she had put in charge of the plagiarism investigation had yet to find useful information, and the notes and drafts in the treasure chest also proved helpless.
Her phone rang as she sat on the couch to consider further measures. It was Yanfeng calling to ask her out for a meal.
Every time she interacted with Yanfeng, she felt familiar. His overly friendly tone or attitude did not bother her at all; instead, she wished she could chat with him more. It was as if they had many things to catch up on.
This bogged her mind because she had just met him, but he made her feel like they had known each other all their lives.
"Okay, I will be there," she agreed.
The restaurant was a four-star Korean eatery located in the commercial center. At this time of day, there were many customers, as everyone was getting off work.
Yanfeng booked a private room for their meeting. Last night, his assistant reported something interesting about his investigation of the Black Swan Crystal, so he wanted to meet with Yanyue to discuss it.
As Yanyue was escorted to the room, she bumped into Beichen and Wanyue, who were just coming out of a VIP room. They seemed to have come to eat, but they were finished now.
As usual, Wanyue was the first one to break the silence.
"Older sister, what a coincidence?!"
Yanyue smiled dimly as she greeted them, "Your Highness, Wanyue."
Why was she always so unlucky? Did the heavens want to torture her even more by bringing her across these two all the time? She sighed in her heart.
"Sister, did you come to eat alone?" asked Wanyue. She snuggled into Beichen's arms to show off. She was not embarrassed at all that she was clinging to her brother-in-law.
Yanyue opened her mouth, but someone beat her to it.
"I invited her," said Yanfeng as he emerged from a nearby room. He heard a loud voice and came out to inspect what was going on. He rolled his eyes in annoyance when he saw his cousin and the despicable President Lu.
Wanyue felt the arm around her tightening. She glanced at Beichen, who was now gloomier after Yanfeng's presence. She condemned in her heart. Was he this reluctant to let his wife meet another man? However, she had the perfect plan to make him hate her sister even more.
She gazed at Yanyue and Yanfeng back and forth. She pretended to be shocked, "Last time it was at the hospital, but now in a restaurant. What's going on, sister?"
Yanfeng was not stupid. He had already seen his cousin's low tricks. It seemed that she never seemed to change. She was still the annoying and entitled brat that he always tried to avoid.
He replied rudely, "Unlike some people who like to meet another person's husband like a mouse stealing cheese, we're here to eat as normal friends."
Wanyue gripped her teeth in irritation. Yanfeng knew how to get on her nerves as usual, but she would not let herself be exposed in front of Beichen. She must remain calm.
"Cousin, are you referring to me?" she cried pitifully.
Instead of responding to Wanyue's distress, Beichen frowned at Yanyue, who remained quiet all this time. Her impression never ceased to amaze him.
First, she seduced his brother, and now she was riding on another man's coattail. It appeared that he was too lenient on her punishment.
Wanyue noticed that Beichen was not looking at her at all. Instead, his eyes were cast towards her sister. She clenched her hands tightly until they turned white. She must get his attention!
She pulled her arms away from Beichen and took a few steps toward Yanyue. She seized Yanyue's hands while blocking Beichen's sight. Then, she mustered tears from her eyes and started to apologize to Yanyue.
"Sister, I'm sorry. I truly love Beichen. You know that we were lovers before you guys got married. Please don't be angry at me for staying by his side."
Yanyue frowned. Ever since she was a child, Wanyue had never apologized for bullying her or taking away her stuff. The woman's sudden change of character baffled her so much that she became speechless.
She opened her mouth to say something, "I-"
"Ah!" Wanyue fell backward onto the floor.
"Beichen, my stomach hurts..."
Yanyue stepped back in horror. She had no idea what had just happened, but she had flashes of a while ago when she saw the snake and somehow bumped into Wanyue.
Beichen saw his beloved wincing in pain on the floor and felt rage growing up inside of him. Before he knew it, he had already slapped Yanyue.
Pak!
The sound was loud and resonated throughout the corridor.
He glared at her, "How evil can you be?"
Then, he picked Wanyue up from the floor, and they disappeared from the restaurant.
Yanyue was too shocked even to articulate the sting on her face.
Yanfeng looked at the woman pitifully. He wanted to stop Beichen, but everything happened too fast, so he could not prevent her from being slapped. He was angry at himself for not being able to protect her well. It did not matter if he was a prince or a king, but if Beichen were still here, he would punch that guy until his bones were shattered. Since he could not do it today, he secretly promised to pay Beichen back for what he did to Yanyue.
"Yanyue..."
She did not look at him, so he could do nothing but stay by her side until she was better.
After a while, Yanyue came back to reality. She brushed the tears silently streaming down her cheeks away with her hands and apologized, "Sorry."
"It's my fault for choosing this restaurant, or else we wouldn't have met them," Yanfeng said regretfully.
Yanyue shook her head, "It's no one's fault, but if there were one person to blame, then it'd be me."
She sighed, "Alright, let's go."
They entered the private room that Yanfeng booked.
He had already ordered all the food. Surprisingly, the food that he ordered was all her favorites.
Yanfeng pointed to the seat across from him and said, "Sit down and let's eat first."
Yanyue nodded and adjusted herself in the chair. Her stomach grumbled as soon as she sat down, suggesting that she was hungry.
Yanfeng chuckled. Then, he placed a stir-fry dish in front of Yanyue and said, "I remember that you like beef bulgogi, so have a try!"
Yanyue looked at Yanfeng and asked suspiciously, "This is our first time eating together, so how do you know that I like beef bulgogi?"
The man smiled sheepishly. He got caught. "I... well, because you look so much like my Lulu, I took you for her for a second. But this won't happen again. I promise you!"
Yanyue grinned. She wondered how similar she was to this Lulu person. Even Yanfeng, the intelligent president of Yang Enterprise, could not tell them apart. She was curious to find out.
"Then, I must look a lot like Lulu. However, I don't believe two unrelated people can look so alike," suggested Yanyue.
Yanfeng nodded in agreement. "I also thought so, which is why I took you as Lulu when I first saw you. But you will understand my confusion."
He picked up his phone and scrolled to a picture. "This is Lulu. Her full name is Lucianna."
Yanyue's eyes widened in shock. The woman in the picture, whose eyes were round and had a thin nose with small and plump lips, looked exactly like her. The only difference was that the woman's hair was ravenously black, while hers was light brown.
She stroked the picture on the screen. It was as if she was looking at herself. There was an indescribable melancholy in her heart.
Her eyebrows folded in doubt, "I-I don't believe it."
Then, she asked him cynically, "How do we look so alike? This is not photoshopped, is it?"
Yanfeng swung his head from side to side, "I won't lie to you! You and Lulu truly resemble each other. If I didn't know any better, I would have guessed that you were her or that you guys were identical twins!"
Yanfeng's last words struck Yanyue.
"Twins..."
But this could not be possible because she was the only child of her parents. If she did have a twin sister, why would her parents hide it from her? Importantly, why did her parents only keep her if that was the case? So, it was unlikely that this person was her twin. Either Yanfeng was deceiving her, or perhaps there was something mysterious about her identity that she did not know about.
Her heart was beating in disarray, and she pondered deeply. She recalled what the doctor told her at the hospital about her scar being from a C-section procedure.
Her head began to throb painfully. It seemed that the more she tried to think, the more her head was beaten like a drum.
She felt like the nerves in her brain were about to break apart, making the aching unbearable. She began to hyperventilate because not only did her nerves feel like they were being ripped, but her breathing seemed to stop as well. She tried to gasp for air, but that only made the compression in her chest harder to release.
She screamed while her hands squeezed her head as if the pressure would stop the head throbs from worsening.
Her eyes became heavy, and the last thing she remembered before collapsing was Yanfeng's shouting her name nonstop.
"Yanyue! Yanyue!"

"Do you love me, Jun?"
"I do," the man quickly answered without any hesitation.
The woman stared deeply into the man's exotic red orbs.
"Then, take me away from here, Jun. This place is too suffocating."
The man thinned his lips in contemplation, but then he nodded.
One would think the woman was happy based on the smile that emerged from her lips, but only she knew how complicated her emotions were.
"Let's get married," she suggested seriously.
"Okay, but what would your brother say?" asked the man.
She frowned, "I don't care what my brother says. He can't separate us!"
Then she rested and caressed the man's lips with her fingers.
Her touch was so delicate and warm that the man's heart began to beat rapidly, and his throat bobbed as he tried to kill the fire that was becoming stronger and stronger inside him.
The woman felt the heat from the man. The next thing she knew, she had pounced on him.
"I want you now, Jun."
The man's eyes widened in surprise as the woman ravaged his lips.
He fell in love with her at first sight.
When he first saw her at the banquet, he thought she was the most gorgeous woman he had ever seen. The way she was pouty but still danced elegantly with her partner on the dance floor captured his heart.
Then, he saw her again practicing sword skills in the training ground. She looked feisty as she knocked the knights onto the gravel with no remorse.
They said that the third time was a charm. He discovered that this was indeed true.
He met her for the third time while escaping from bad people. Although she was dressed in male clothing, she still looked like the girl from the banquet.
He thought he could not fall in love with her more than this, but his heart fell deeper for her.
Since then, he had wanted to get closer to her, but her cold personality challenged him when approaching her.
However, this woman who always built a wall around him finally trusted him. So, there was no way that he could push her away from his embrace.
She kissed and sucked on his lips like a child sucking on a lollipop. They were both inexperienced at first, but ever since they had been together, it seemed their bodies were getting increasingly used to each other.
He poured his pent-up desires onto her in blue and red hickeys along her neck and chest.
"Jun," the woman moaned in pleasure as the man fondled and licked her breasts with his wet tongue.
His kisses trickled down to her dripping spring. He swallowed his saliva as he pried her legs open. She was beautiful. This fact would never change, no matter how many times he had seen her.
He touched those sensitive folds with his fingers. When that was not enough, he stuck out his tongue and started to lick her. She tasted like honeydew in the morning. It was so sweet and fresh.
"Anhg," the woman moaned and twisted in satisfaction. "That feels good, Jun."
The man increased the speed of his tongue after receiving the woman's positive feedback. He did not stop until her toes were curled in pleasure and her body shook violently from climaxing.
He stared down at her reckless curves while licking the aromatic liquid that she had squirted onto his face. He loved the way her chest heaved up and down from the intense pleasure. She was like a goddess underneath his body.
"Jun, please put it in..." the woman cried softly.
The man kissed her lips before guiding himself into her core. In one swift thrust, he filled her.
"Ah!"
The man growled in pleasure. He bent down to kiss her again and repeated her name over and over.
"Lucianne."
