4.1 That's unsanitary

Shu XinYi allowed the blood clot to float in the air as he focused on shaping the spritual energy he felt from the moon rays, into a fire. He put his palm out and slowly a pure purple fire with a red glow started to float on his palm. Shu XinYi opened his eyes but he could still control the fire. He first experimented by expanding the size of the fire then changing it's shape. It was not very difficult it just need focus and control.

The surrounding area had reached more than 700°C as soon as the fire started. Shu XinYi though didn't feel his body burning up, it was as if something was protecting him.

"Well this is a bit odd, I can understand why you can birth the purest kind of fire but your skin is still human. Not burning up with this kind of fire is not logical. The others who make even the lowest form of fire still feel burns on their hands after a while." Snow said.

"It's not bad. I think something is protecting me so it's ok." Shu XinYi said.

"Come eat, be careful though it's very hot and eat slowly. I will reserve some for later as well." Shu XinYi said to the blod clot. Who excitedly came forward and slowly scooped the fire. It was very weird seeing a big red ball sipping a big purple ball. Shu XinYi kept birthing fire as the blood clot "ate" and when the blood clot backed off after having his fill, Shu XinYi closed his palm and the fire went away.

He then sat down to absorb the energy using his form, and slowly he felt his spritual veins being filled. Shu XinYi filled about 14% of the space. It was more than enough to last 500 hours. Shu XinYi could tell this after understanding his form a little better.

Shu XinYi looked around the cave once more and found a bag. It probably belonged to Sceptor. There was a notebook, a sketchbook, some pens, a water bottle and various stones and berries. Two sets of clothing. There was even uncooked meat stored in a big leaf. It seemed fresh so Shu found a place to cook it. Obviously he controlled the fire to low level since that pure fire could instantly burn the meat. Shu XinYi crushed some berries to sweeten the meat and give it some taste.

After the smell of cooked meat fermented the inside of the cave, Shu XinYi burned the fire out, slowly. The meat was not bad, So Shu XinYi ate his fill and saved some for later. Who knows when he will get the next meal in this environment.

Shu XinYi opened a new page in his note book and marked this cave naming it bloody little friend. This was a starting point he was going to use to figure out the terrain of this land. Shu XinYi found the exit of the cave and moved north first. He traveled for 20 km and noted down the types of trees and fruits he found. He took samples of all of them to test weather they were poisonous or not so he could come back for them later.

He encountered about 80 hunters which varied from flying beasts to reptile beasts. Shu XinYi found it easy to counter them since he just had to use medium level fire to scare them away. It was a peaceful journey otherwise. Strangely peaceful. Just when Shu XinYi was contemplating whether he should be on gaurd or not, something happend.

"AAAAA!" a loud shriek sounded from the east direction. Because the surrounding area was a very dense forest it would be easy for one to lose their way if one is not paying attention. Shu XinYi left mark after every 50 trees he passed with pure fire, and for some reason he could trace this specific burn scent when he used his senses. So it would be easy to find his way back. And since Shu XinYi had a very comprehensive memory, it was not unsafe when taking a detour.

The voice was androgynous so Shu XinYi couldn't tell who it was that screamed. Finally reaching an open are in the forest Shu XinYi found the owner of the voice. A giant ... spider was covering something over a huge tree. Although Shu XinYi called it a spider, it had eight giant bulging eyes that it used to walk, instead of eight boney legs. It had a huge open mouth with rows and rows of sharp teeth with dripping saliva which obviously, would be poisonous. It seemed like it was ready to eat a delicious meal.

The meal in question was a young man. Although he looked young, he should be around 30 with how the aging works in this world. The man was really scared and even if he could use forms, his mental bearing wasn't capable of doing so.

Shu XinYi picked up a small, palm sized rock. He infused it with Pure fire since the beast looked a little more powerful. Then he accurately hurled the rock at one of the spider's eye legs. The rock blasted off from the intense amount of heat when it came in contact with the spiders eye. Along with it, the spider's eye was rendered into a bloody mess.

A very weird sound came from inside the beast like that of muddy gurgling water. Simultaneously, that of a very powerful water shower. All the remaining 7 eye legs looked at where Shu XinYi was standing. Shu XinYi was about to pick up a second rock when the blood clot tied around his wrist like a red cloth, moved away from his hand.

The blod clot formed into the shape of a man's hand and slowly the man's hand closed into a fist. As the hand closed, the spider started shrieking madly, like his innards were being squashed. As the blood clot fully formed a fist, the spiders shrieking died down and it lay on the ground in a bloody pool of it's own. Well that's unsanitary, Shu XinYi thought. The red blood clot moved towards Shu XinYi's face and wrapped itself around like a mask.

Although the blood clot should not be breathable as a mask, Shu XinYi could breathe perfectly and even smelled the sweet scent of peaches. Meanwhile the man who had almost become dinner to a certain "spider" was gagging and vomiting exposed to the horrendous smell of the dead beast.

Shu XinYi was surprised at how desicive his bloody friend was. Not only did he cover his face infront of this unknown man, since in this place who knows what will happen if your identity and location is know, but it also blocked the nauseating odor of the dead spider. It also makes me smell peaches, Intresting.

Shu XinYi let the matter go for now and asked snow "Is he useful? or should I walk away?"

Snow "He is a regular npc, not useful at all."

Shu XinYi asked "Shouldn't there be camps with people who have different forms, uniting together to survive. There will also be a better chance of survival."

Snow said "Don't forget these are all convicts, most of them won't trust their own kin. Also in this environment, you need to kill to survive. So don't be too optimistic."

Shu XinYi thought, that there was no reason for people to be like this. Well whatever, the man would die if he left him like this.

Shu XinYi walked towards the man and offered him a cloth to cover his face with. Then he bend down to check on his wounds. The man was vigilant so he pulled his dagger out. Shu XinYi swiftly snatched the dagger away saying "Be good, or I'll leave you to die out here. You decide."

The man stopped struggling so Shu XinYi took a look at his wounds. There was a very deep gash running from his thigh to his knee. His right leg was mess of blood.

"Don't stay here. There is a stream flowing 4 km south. Wash yourself and bandage yourself up. This way you will be off any hunters trail."

"Why did you save me?" The man asked.

"You looked pitiful enough." Shu XinYi honestly replied.

"Oh, ok."

Shu XinYi saw that the man could walk by himself so he decided to continue his voyage to the north.

The man said trying to stop him. "Won't you be staying with me? I am Lancer by the way."

Shu XinYi said "You just worry about yourself. I have no reason to stay."

The man still didn't want to let go of this powerful man so he said "We can travel together, I might prove of help to you."

Shu XinYi looked back, eyeing the man up and down looking at his injured leg and the blood stained face saying "I don't need your help."

Then Shu XinYi walked away for good. There was no reason to bring this random man along on his journey. Nor could he trust that man. Obviously that man was not "his man" or else he would not have even thought before staying with him.

About his amnesiac husband, Shu XinYi did have some thoughts. He asked Snow as he walked onwards in the quiet and dense forest "Xian- no. Xuval, he.. he was the one who cured me back in the cave right?"

Snow wasn't suprised at Master's accuracy and honestly replied "Yes Master, it was Xuval. He first accidentally injured you but even though at first he walked away, later he came back in his human form and treated you. A Qilin's blood is poisonous and only the same Qilin can cure it. So Xuval first cured you then bandaged you up, bringing you to that cave. Although he himself was injured he didn't even look at himself until you were well rested. After that he just left. The blood clot later formed from somewhere and attached itself to your body."

Shu XinYi smiled looking at the red band wrapped around his wrist, who was still carefree since it couldn't hear Snow. Shu XinYi let him be, he has become a blood clot from a powerful beast, he deserves some pity.

Thinking about Eclipse, the wolfhound chasing Xuval down with 1000s of hunters, Shu XinYi was angry. He can't be alone in organizing this feat, the other protagonist Luxin must have helped him. Shu XinYi won't let them off easy.

Shu XinYi hunted an eatable bird using a rock, asking Snow "Tell me about all the moons and what power they have? Also say it out loud."

Snow diligently explained "The black and bronze moon can create metal and wood. The quantity and quality depends on you. The shape too depends on the weilder. It takes high amount of energy to bend and cut metal than wood. Blue moon has healing properties but it also takes high amount of form energy to utilize it. Purple moon has insight powers, which has 0 combat ability but you can see the area far ahead of you depending on your power. You can sometimes even see the future but your formal energy needs to be a lot more powerful. The red moon is unholy fire, while golden moon is pure fire. Silver moon also has no combat power, as it has the ability to produce silk and cotton cloths. All the other moons can be absorbed and used even when they are not in the sky, except for the white moon. The white moon can amplify the effect of every other absorbed moon improving the quality of it, during the time it stays in the sky."

Shu XinYi hummed then said to his wrist "Oye, You heard Snow. Tell me how to fix you. Are you happy being in this form?"

The blood clot didn't react.

Shu XinYi said patiently "Atleast tell me if I can help you or not."

The blood clot slowly unwrapped itself from his wrist and floted in the year.

Shu XinYi "I'll ask the questions, you just nod for yes stay for no. Got it."

The blood clot nodded in understanding. Shu XinYi found a place a high tree stump to sit down in and asked "Can I help you get back your form?"

The blod clot nodded.

Shu XinYi "Good. then would you need anything other then me to help you?"

The blood clot didn't nod. Well it was good that Sceptor had forms of moon, so he could help his amnesiac husband.

Shu XinYi "Would you need the power of all the moons?"

The blood clot didn't nod.

Shu XinYi thought about it and said the color of the moons one by one, The blood clot nodded on the blue, red, white and golden.

"Ok then one by one when these moon rise, you can use my forms" Shu XinYi said.

The blood clot shaped itself into a moon then it deformed, moving a little to the left forming an other moon, then deformed moving to a little left forming a third moon. After forming the fourth moon, the blood clot deformed forming into a really big moon.

Shu XinYi understood "So you need to absorb their power individually and together right?"

The blod clot nodded. Shu XinYi then said "So, I should absorb the golden moon some more, and the red and blue moon as well. Then in the white moon I will amplify and use them together, So will that work?"

The blood clot nodded.

Shu XinYi dramatically "Ah but that's so faaar, you better make yourself useful to me. Come eat."

He formed pure fire in his hands offering it to his little friends. The blood clot obediently started to eat.

After the blood clot had eaten, Shu XinYi asked his last, most important question "Do you trust me?"

The blood clot didn't even pause to think as it did up and down movements.

Shu XinYi "Oh, good. But how come such a divine Qilin like you, who is even nicknamed LóngFéng, trust this fragile man so easily?"

The blood clot eyed the "Fragile man" who a second ago had made the purest fire to exist in the universe, in the palm of his hand so casually. The blood clot: (◞ ‸ ◟°°) my man's no fragile man.

Shu XinYi chuckled at this bizzare reaction saying "Okay, okay. I was joking. Did that wolf hound hurt you a lot?"

The blood clot touched Shu XinYi's arm shyly and nodded like a weak looking thing. Well it did look like a weak looking thing so Shu XinYi was sold. He had already decided to cripple Eclipse and Luxin.

Shu XinYi "Don't worry, I'll not forgive him. He is not important to you right?"

The blood clot started bouncing everywhere happily.

Shu XinYi said smiling "Let's go, I want to head north. It will take a long time since the only mode of transport is walking. Keep yourself wrapped around my wrist. Don't waste your energy like killing that spider last time. If you sense any danger then just increase your temperature and if you feel that there is something important then just come out and point to it. Otherwise you can just rest on my hand ok."

The blood clot obediently nodded and wrapped itself around Shu XinYi's wrist.

Shu XinYi continued to walk forward into the forest.

He found another cave, it was relatively smaller then the previous cave. Inside came the sound of hollow breathing of most probably a wounded hunter. Shu XinYi walked inside the cave and saw a winged person, or well a very skinny thing with sharp features. It's wings were healthy but as of now, it's right wing was injured and was slowly turning skinny as well.

The beast seemed unconscious, Shu XinYi waited but his wrist didn't feel hot so he walked forward.

He picked out some leaves from his bag and crushed them on the ground. He mixed it with some water, then he heated the mixture using fire. Once the medicine was ready, Shu XinYi took bits, applying it to all the visible open wounds on the beasts body.

All the areas stopped bleeding except for one, Shu XinYi examined the area a little closely and saw that, the blod clot floated in the air forming into a really small flame. Shu XinYi understood and flamed the area that was still bleeding, with a very low flame. Something green oozed out of the beasts body and the wound finally stopped bleeding.

Shu XinYi thought about something and asked "Don't you have any hunters under your control like Eclipse does?"

The blood clot shook from left to right, indicating a no.

"Okay, good. I think we should rest here for a while. The hunter will remain unconscious for some time. We'll leave before it wakes up." Shu XinYi said as he birthed a little fire at the opening of the cave, At this point he could control the fire form far away without using his hands.

Shu XinYi took out the bird he killed before. It still needed to be gutted and skinned but Shy XinYi didn't have any sharp objects. He was contemplating how to skin the bird when the blood clot unwrapped from his hands and floated towards the winged "man".

The blood clot, moved towards his right wing, which was uninjured, and scanned the wing for a while. Then the blood clot selected a very particular and healthy feather and plucked it out without any difficulty. The bird twitched once then twice and settled down.

The blod clot bought the feather to Shu XinYi. Shu XinYi held the feather and finally knew what was up. The feather was very sturdy and sharp, with it he could skin the bird very easily.

Xuval, or this blood clot, really does know about the beasts, and It seemed that only this particular feather was sharp from all the other ones. Maybe Xuval knows the beasts residing here better then anyone else. So he must know about how and why they came to be.
