From what Nathan discovered about the bunch, they actually had an impressive balance in their party.

The leader, Jack, was a short-range fighter. He had a relic, the shape of a small stick which he always had by his waist. Once activated, the stick transformed into a mighty Axe. This allowed him to deal heavy damage to his foes.

Lydia was a long-range combatant. She had a bracelet that was also a relic. It glowed whenever she focused and closed her eyes, and brought forth bursts of ice. According to her, it could also generate Ice spikes.
