Prodigies

"Yes, they are made from Elemental Qi. All Healers use these threads to heal tissues, bones, even dantians." Bai Jing answered with a smile.

"Who is this?" Bai Quimei asked while controlling the golden qi threads.

"Mei'er, meet Twelfth Junior Brother Wei Ren. Junior Brother Ren, this is your Elder Sister Quiemei and also my little sister." Bai Jing introduced them.

Their hands were moving with lightning fast speed to heal the dying soldier. Their minds were fully engrossed yet they were still able to hold a perfect conversation.

"Wei Ren pays his respects to Elder Sister Bai Quimei." Wei Ren greeted her respectfully. This woman left a deep impression on his mind. She excluded a royal aura. He couldn't help but admire her unique presence.

"No need for such formalities, Junior Brother Wei. You can call me Elder Sister Quiemei." She looked him in the eyes and said. Then her gaze went back to her patient.

Both brother and sister worked in perfect sync. Bai Jing also made some incantations with his hands and produced similar golden qi threads. Only difference was that his qi threads were ten times thinner than Bai Quimei's. He had to squint his eyes to see them. He was sure that these threads must be even thinner than his hair. This showed the difference in their Tiers. Bai Jing was a Tier Three Healer. His skill was obviously much better.

"Get ready to unfreeze his blood." Bai Jing said to his sister.

"Um." Bai Quimei just nodded. Her eyes completely focused.

Bai Jing waved his left hand in the air. All the qi threads on his left hand turned into needles. The needles flew from his hand and stabbed into the soldier's stomach. They wiggled like worms and disappeared into his body.

"Needles are in his blood vessels. Burn them." Bai Jing ordered as he meticulously controlled the needles.

"Karmic Flame, ignite." Bai Quimei yelled softly. A white illusory flame erupted on her hand.

"Karmic Flame again?" He got to see the Karmic Flame twice in one day. But her Karmic Flame didn't have the same pressure as Lu Sheng's. Lu Sheng's flame was more ethereal.

"So this is why Healers need amazing control over their Elemental Qi." He had already learned some things about Healing from Mei Rong but he never studied Healing in depth.

Bai Quimei used her flame to melt the qi threads inside the soldier's body. His blood started to move which was previously frozen by Bai Jing using the Potion Wei Ren made.

With simple observations, Wei Ren concluded that only prodigies can master such skills. Both siblings used these threads to suture the dantian of the soldier. It was simply marvelous. All of the Healing was being done only with the help of golden qi threads. They couldn't even see the damage with their eyes. They had to use their senses and their qi threads to observe their patient. The soldier's whole body was covered with qi threads. They were sticking out like acupuncture needles.

After a whole hour, they both stopped. The soldier slowly opened his eyes. There was a hint of confusion in his eyes. He remembered the battlefield and the moment when he accidentally walked into a dangerous formation laid by the soldiers of Golden Crow Kingdom.

"You can take him back. He should be able to recover his power in three to four months." Bai Jing and Bai Quimei got back on their feet.

Their job was finished.

"Yes, Healer Bai." They all bowed deeply with gratitude. The soldiers took their confused comrade with them and left.

Mei Rong also returned. But there was someone else with her.

"Elder Brother Li Jian." The other person was none other than Li Jian. Wei Ren immediately greeted him

"Did you already heal him? I brought Elder Brother Jian in case you need his help." Mei said with a pout. She saw that the soldiers had already left. Which meant that Bai Jing and Bai Quimei healed him on their own.

The two siblings just smiled and didn't say anything.

Li Jian didn't seem to care. He just replied to Wei Ren.

"It is good to see you again, Junior Brother Ren. I see that you have improved a lot in just six months. With your help we will be able to do a better job at saving lives." He said in his usual rigid voice.

"Um." Wei Ren nodded with acknowledgment.

In his heart he felt bad. He didn't want to join the Rescue and Support Infantry. He has spent all his life on the sidelines. Even though he had a general's responsibilities, he knew that he was being held back because of his inability to cultivate. But now things have changed. It doesn't matter if he failed, he still wanted to get involved in the battles.

"I am going back to my training. I have a feeling that I am very close to achieving a breakthrough. Junior Brother Ren, I am sorry for not having a proper chat with you." Bai Quimei apologized to Wei Ren with her royal elegance.

"It's fine, Elder Sister Quiemei." Wei Ren couldn't help but feel surprised at her words. Such elegance.

"Rong'er why don't you take Junior Brother Ren to his room. I presume tomorrow is the first day of his Mission Assignment Competition. Let him take a rest today and prepare. We can make him help us when he has settled in." Li Jian said.

"It looks like Elder Brother Li Jian is the leader of this group." Wei Ren thought with suspicion. It was strange. Li Jian is Lu Sheng's sixth disciple while Bai Jing is fifth. In terms of seniority, Bai Jing should be the one leading them. But the tone Li Jian used was definitely of someone who had the leader's role. Also, Bai Jing didn't seem to care that Li Jian acted this way.
