The Case Of Elena Paulings

The carriage halted its journey through the cobbled streets. And through the window, Emberline watched as the bustling of the street continued. Nicholas soon exited the carriage, leaving Emberline to descend on the other side. It was as though she hadn't even left her street.

Nicholas held his negotiations with the coachman and soon stepped beside Emberline, who hoped he would lead the way. But he simply started to look around as though he didn't recognise the place.

"Do you trust me?" He questioned her as he finished examining the place.

"Not really as much,"

"That's a slight problem," Nicholas said. "The man who has the key to our answers is a greatly paranoid man, he doesn't trust open streets like these," he narrowed his eyes as he walked past Emberline, setting himself in the shop that read Jacob's French Bakery, and Emberline followed blindly.
