8. Aptitude Test

Meixiang look at the people following her.

Tian Xi together with his son Tian Ling and Tian Feng and ofcourse his wife, Tian Biyu.

She tilted her head and look at the rest of the men.

"Greetings to the Third—to the young miss. This old bones wanted to follow young miss. This old man is called Old Leng and is responsible to the smith shop of the Su's. A—and this young man." he pat the young man's shoulder in his side and said. "This is my apprentice, Little Chun."

"Ping Chun greets the young miss." the young man who wears a cover on his face bow his head respectfully.

"Oh. Greeting the young miss. This young man is called Xian Ji." the carefree boy who look like about 17 or 18 said as he smiles showing his white teeth shyly scratching the back of his head feeling awkward when he tried to imitate the formal way Old Leng's greetings.

Tian Xi cough uncomfortably and said. "Young miss, the other young man is called Bai Zihan. Zihan is part of the Su army—before. One of the most talented in the army. Zihan is also a martial artist like this old man."

Meixiang didn't mind much and just simply nodded.

"Hmm. Follow me if you want. I wouldn't mind." Meixiang turns her back and walks toward the entrance of the forest.

Tian Xi look at the back of Meixiang and unhurriedly follows and so with his family. Old Leng and Bai Zihan look hesitant but also followed when they saw Tian Xi followed the little girl. Ping Chun who didn't care what is happening observes his back and when he sees the presence of the hidden men not far from where they're standing, he also follows the others.

Unknown to Meixiang's followers, a spell is now being activated to the whole mountain as their group following Meixiang is now on the way to the peak of the mountain.

Four hours passed and when they saw a house at the very peak, they curiously look at Meixiang's back.

Meixiang turns her head to them and a smile that didn't reach her eyed appeared on her face "No one leaves."

Her aura suddenly changed and her lazy manner can no longer be seen as her eyes are full of authority.

"If you follow me another step and enter this residence, you have to follow everything I will say. Whatever reason you have wanting to follow me I wouldn't mind but once you become my follower you are not allowed to betray me. When I said go east you can't go west. This young miss' words would be your priority in the rest of your lives. Stepping on this resident will change your life entirely...of what changes, no one knows. Everyone was taken aback at the little girl's words and the sudden change of atmosphere.

The other's are still mesmerized at the little girl's voice while Tian Ling and his mother is nodding their heads multiple times. Tian Feng on the other hand is still wearing his stoic face standing still, not agreeing nor disagreeing.

A smile appeared on Meixiang's face and take her first step inside the resident that causes the spell to be unlocked after identifying Meixiang. In this case the people following suit will not be harmed.

Tian Xi is the one who step forward followed by his family. Xian Ji just followed without having any thoughts. Bai Zihan look at the way they walk from how many hours and look at his master's, General Tian, back and with a sigh like he had no choice, he just follow his steps. Little did this young man know this one step will change his world to the fullest.

Old Leng who is so tired of old age just wanted to enter that house and rest. When he sees his apprentice looking at the way back he just grab his shoulder and push him to enter the resident that caught Ping Chun offguard.

When everyone entered the resident, Meixiang smile deepen,

"So everyone decided "

Their fate did. Looking at the young man in mask still being used as a wall by the tired old man, Meixiang chuckled. After appreciating the view of these people that was with fate to follow her, she walks toward the center of formation just in front of the house.

"Young Miss, this—" Tian Xi hesitantly said looking at the formation drawn in the ground. This is to test someone's aptitude.

"Hmm. Mother really prepared everything." Meixiang smiles while looking at the formation on the ground. She lowly laugh as she realize things, "Mother looks too highly of me."

Arrays that is used in testing aptitude have usually two stone inside the formation. These two stones will detect either that person can cultivate the qi to dou qi or magic qi. The brighter the color of the stone, the purest that child's talent would be.

What ordinary people didn't know is that these stones only highlight what talent that child is but not to detect that child's ability. What really happens at a child's first aptitude test is, a character of either magic qi or dou qi appears in thin air. The brighter it is the better that child's potential. It just happens that in most cases, children taking aptitude test especially in such small kingdom like Long dynasty, those characters written in thin air are too weak and can't be seen by ordinary people with their bear eyes.

This, just like Meixiang's words, indeed means Dan Feihan looks really high of her daughter's result.

Tian Xi was about to step forward when a light arouse from the formation. A character appeared in thin air shining too brightly but they can still recognize this character.

Everyone look dumb at the scene unfolding in their very eyes, the girl they are following in the middle of the array is the reason of this.

"Dou—dou qi." Old Leng stutter when he saw the sign of the character dou qi in the thin air. It is too bright that his poor eyesight can still recognize it. When they thought this is the most shocking thing another character arise from Meixiang's another side.

"M—magic qi."

That didn't stop there. The character magic qi soon shows small ball of light in the color of red.

"F—fire."

Another ball of light arise in different color one after another.

"E—arth."

"W—wind."

They can no longer speak too unbelievable on what is happening and just stared at the other ball in different colors dancing around the magic qi character.

The red ball signifies Fire.

The brown ball signified Earth.

The green ball signifies Wind.

The blue ball signifies Water.

Everyone just stared blankly at another two balls.

The yellow ball signifies Thunder who is so rare shocks them enough but also the white ball that signifies Light wanted them to bang their head at the nearest hard surface!!

What is happening? Did they just followed a deity? What operation is this?!!

Everyone knows there are total seven elements that a magician can control. These are fire, water, wind, earth, thunder, light, and darkness. The most rare element among these are light and dark magic.

Light magic represents the beginning and dark magic represents the ending. It represents creation and destruction so this two elements can't be possessed by a person at the same time. The other elements are just sub elements. It is created at the middle process of creation and destruction as these subelements can do creation and destruction but not as strong as the light and dark magic.

In this case the best a magician can possess is six elements that they are currently witnessing! It also means in the future their future miss can also contract six elemental beast and not forgetting their young miss is also a martial artist it also means she can contract a dou qi base beast!!!!!

The two characters both floated towards Meixiang's body.

When they think nothing can shock them another light appeared in front of Meixiang and the character of summoner can be read. It suddenly get inside her body and a green in unidentifiable writing appeared on her index finger like a ring.

"S-ss—summoner!!"

Their heads are about to get crazy with what's happening.

Their young miss not only can practice both dou qi and magic, six elements at that, but she is also a summoner like her mother!!!!

Summoner is the most noble profession as they are not only extremely rare but also in this entire realm, there are only ten summoners currently existing and all of them are being respected wherever they go. Summoners can connect to the phantom world and can summon phantom creatures. These creatures are more powerful than the beasts in this world!! There is this saying that 'when a summoner is in your side, you can have the world' that is not an exaggeration at all!

Now that they chose to follow their young miss, do they also now have the world?

Everyone are staring blankly at their young miss and was more dumbfounded when they heard her leisure voice saying,

What not bad! Whose not bad! Miss if you want to hurt our pride in this way better kill us!

When Meixiang saw the writings on her index finger that is in green color, she smiled satisfiedly.

Plant base summoner. Ofcourse this is the rare plant base summoner that never appear in this realm and unknown to everyone. She herself wouldn't know the existing of such plant base summoner without reading those book inside the library.

There are three kinds of summoners. Weapon base summoner, beast base summoner like Dan Feihan and the rarest, plant base summoner, like her, Meixiang.

If this thing is to know by her followers, they will spit blood once again.

"Hmm. The show off is done." Meixiang look at the speechless people in front of her as she wave her hand lazily. "Find your own room inside the resident and sleep. We will be busy starting tomorrow."

Those who heard this can't help but twitch their mouth.

You expected us to sleep after witnessing your aptitude test? No one will sleep! No one can sleep!!!

What these pitiful weak hearted people didn't know, this is just the start of their sleepless night questioning the existence of the little girl they are fated to follow.
