City of Yokohama, Japan…
"This is a message from the League of Heroes: Yokohama has become an active battle zone between Heroes and a Gamma level threat; please evacuate immediately! I repeat, Yokohama has become an active…." The drone playing the message was grabbed by an enormous hand and was crushed with little effort. The flames leapt across the city as if they were giving the brightest of performance. Smoke hung over the decapitated city as if it were a blanket. Buildings were crumbling and sinking into the ground. Many of the structures were covered with what dreadfully looked like blood. Craters and cracks became the decoration of the road, along with the mutilated corpses. The once beautiful city was now but a valley of limbs and rubble.
"Damn it!" A bulky man exclaimed. His vision had become blurry due to the blood which rained from his head. His entire body, bruised, he could barely move, and yet, he gritted his teeth, swallowed his pain and looked up at the creature, no, the monster that had dared cause so much destruction. The man coughed, and smoke started to leave his body. He looked up and clicked his tongue. "The sun is being covered by the fog," The hero looked back down at his hands. "And the sun is starting to set… My strength will leave me soon… I must finish this soon!" The blonde man stood up, barely, and that's when he noticed that the monster now held by the neck once of his fellow combatants. "So, not even your perfect armour was able to resist his punches, Diamon Knight?" The hero took a stance and then charged towards the monster.
"Huh?" The creature mused as it turned around to look at the incoming hero. Then, it threw the hero it was holding towards a building, sending him crashing through several walls and into the street a few blocks away. The hero cocked back his punch, and when he was within distance, he attacked the creature with all his might. The shockwave from the attack flattened all buildings in a significant radius, the city centre was gone.
Once the smoke cleared, the hero realised his punch had not landed, but instead, it had been caught by the monster. The man looked up to see the monster grinning down at him. "I am impressed," The creature stated. "Even after all your injuries, you were still able to draw such punch, but…." The monster tightened his grip on the hero's hand, and several cracks were heard. "It was not enough. Nothing you puny heroes do will ever be enough against the zenith of evolution!"
Now, the monster cocked back his own fist and landed hit square on the hero's chest. Blood spurted out of his mouth before the hero was sent flying across the sky. The man was sent so far back that he flew past a news helicopter flying around the city. "I… I can't believe this…." The news reported uttered as he looked at the destruction below. "The entire town has been destroyed, and now another S-Tier Hero has been defeated… This monster was first seen in Germany two weeks ago, and ever since then, it has caused immeasurable destruction throughout the world… Six S-Tier Heroes have tried to defeat it, and they have all fallen, is there really any hope that this monster's rampage will be stopped?"
In a secret location in the middle of the Pacific Ocean…
In what was seemingly a command room, several executives were monitoring the battle of Yokohama. Finally, one of them turned around to look at their superior. "It's confirmed; Sun Eater has fallen!" The worker exclaimed, much to the shock of everyone present.
"This is the third S-Tier hero that has fallen during this battle alone…." The supervisor said as he closed his eyes and sighed. "Sun Eater, Karma, and even Diamond Knight…." He uttered.
"Most of the upper members of S-Tier are far away from the battle," A female executive said. "Is there really any hope for us to defeat this monster right now?"
"The press and the public won't like that…." Another executive said. "And our investors are putting pressure on us to solve the issue…."
"There is still hope…." The supervisor said, opening back his eyes. "She is on her way. She will deal with the issue…."
Back in Yokohama…
The monsters walked through the husk of one of Japan's most significant cities. But, unfortunately, it was a city of the dead now. Countless heroes had challenged him, and countless had fallen. But, hero, villain, didn't matter; he was on top of them all; he was invincible. Then, several significant pieces of debris were lifted all around him as the monster walked, engulfed in a rainbow aura. Then, before the beast could even finish processing what was happening, they all fell on him with remarkable strength, so much so that a small earthquake was produced. The monster yelped in pain as it was engulfed in a giant ball of rocks.
"Hmpf…" Above the ball, a light-browned hair young woman levitated. She was surrounded as well by the rainbow aura that had earlier covered the debris. "I can't believe this is the thing that was causing everyone so many issues," The young lady stated. "Seriously, they should raise the bar of those who are let into S-Tier," The woman turned around. "I guess I should head back to H.Qs now…." As she started to fly away, she heard noises coming from the sphere of debris. She turned around and then saw as all the rocks went flying in several different directions.
The young psyker covered herself in a barrier to avoid being hit by the debris. And that is when she saw among the rocks the figure of the monster, who had jumped from the ground, coming towards her, its arm raised back. The young hero smirked. "Like you will get past my…." The monster's fist collided with the psychic barrier, and it started to crack. The young heroine was shocked, but then, the shield was shattered in its entirety. The young lady squeaked as the punch collided with her stomach, and she was sent flying back.
The psyker managed to stop herself as she began to levitate again, but then she heard a loud boom, and in less than a second, the monster was above her, its fists raised for a hammer punch. The young heroine quickly created several barriers between herself and the beast. Unfortunately, the beast's attack shattered the first barrier, then the second, the third, the fourth, the fifth, and finally, the psyker girl herself was hit and sent flying down to the ground faster than a bullet.
The psychic heroine stood up and levitate out of the deep hole she had formed. She coughed, and blood landed on the hand she used to cover herself. "Shit…." She muttered. She clutched her stomach. "Even with my natural barrier surrounding my body…." The heroine then touched her head, and when she brought back down to see it, it was covered in blood. She clenched her fist. "Like hell, that thing is going to beat me!" The psyker exclaimed out loud.
At that exact moment, the monster landed not too far from her. The shockwave from its land caused the heroine to use her powers to avoid being sent back, as several buildings came crashing down. The creature laughed mockingly. "You are Psyko Girl, aren't you?" The monster asked, stepping from out of the hole. "So they finally sent someone from the upper echelons, and yet… I'm disappointed," Psyko Girl frowned at the comment.
"You think you are stronger than me, ugly?!" The girl asked while shouting. "That's it, I'm gonna end you right here!" Suddenly a barrier around the beast appeared, who started to feel tremendous pressure, and the monster fell to all fours as he was being compressed along with everything standing around him. "The gravity…" The monster uttered. Meanwhile, Psyko Girl laughed. "Do you like it?!" The exclaimed. "And that is just 100 times Earth's gravity, but I can go higher; how about 500 times?!" Finally, the monster was flattened against the soil, unable to move, as if a gigantic anvil had just fallen on his back. Psyko Girl grinned like a maniac as she saw the monster lying on the floor. "That should teach you,"
There was a laugh, this time from the monster. Psyko Girl eyes widened as she saw the beast was beginning to stand up, albeit slowly. "And here I thought this was going to be easy," The humanoid giant said while grinning. "I guess you are going to keep me entertained for a while!" The monster now said, fully standing. It didn't take long for the beast to slowly walk towards the heroine.
"Shit!" She exclaimed on her mind. "I didn't expect for it to actually stand up!" Psyko Girl extended her hands, and from them, a psychic blast was shot towards the monster. The shots impacted the humanoid as it grunted in pain, and slowly but surely, they pierced through its skin. Still, much to Psyko Girl's surprise, and horror, any damage she dealt was quickly regenerated by the beast. "This… Could be a problem," She thought. The heroine then noticed as the monster cocked back its fist. Veins were popping all over the monster's arm. Psyko Girl's eyes widened, and then the beast threw its punch.
Psyko Girl created several barriers to stop the incoming shockwave. Then, from behind Psyko Girl, the villain appeared. The heroine couldn't react in time, and so the punch landed against her face. The shockwave sent the rubble around them flying away. As the dust settled, much to the monster's surprise, Psyko Girl was standing like it was nothing. "I have great resistance against physical attacks, you had simply caught me off guard before, and that will never happen again!" Psyko Girl then pointed one of her fingers at the monster as immense energy started to gather at its tip. The giant quickly raised his arms to protect himself as the psychic blast impacted it. It was shot back across the city, and when the attack was over, the beast's arms were gone.
"That brat…" The monster exclaimed. Immense pain then surged from the creature's chest. "What the?!" It cried in its mind. "It feels like if… Like if…" Then, Psyko Girl descended from the sky with a smirk on her face. "Like if someone is grabbing your heart?" She asked, seeming to have read the creature's thoughts. The heroine extended her hand and then slowly started to close it. Blood began to drip from the monster's mouth, nose and ears. "You will pay for daring to hit me," She said, and then she closed her fist. A burst of blood erupted from the beast's mouth as it fell to its knees.
The monster then began to levitate. "Now, time to end this…." Psyko Girl exclaimed. From the palm of her hand, a small flame appeared, which then grew and grew. The flame then engulfed the beast in its entirety. Its red colour gradually turning into the blue. The tornado of fire illuminated the entire area, and when the show was finally snuffed, only scorched bones remained.
Psyko Girl looked at the remains of her foe and scoffed. "That's what you get for antagonising me," She said, placing a hand on her hip. But then, much to her surprise, an eyeball popped inside the monster's scorched skull. "What the?!" Soon, cartilage and muscles began to cover the bones, and the monster quickly punched Psyko Girl, who was once again, caught off guard, and she was sent flying back. Psyko Girl frowned, but then she was shocked to see the monster had regenerated entirely in a matter of seconds.
"Now, I'm angry," The monster said in a calm yet terrifying matter. The beast charged towards Psyko Girl. A punch collided with her barrier, causing no effect, but then, the monster attacked again, and again, and again. Slowly, cracks started to appear in her shield. And before she knew it, her barrier was shattered as hundreds of punches a second collided with her. The cracking of bones resonated throughout the place as blood started to fall from Psyko's mouth. The beast then grabbed the heroine by her shoulders and kneed her on the stomach, finally sending her flying back.
Psyko Girl landed against a pile of rubble. Her back hurt, her face hurt, breathing hurt, everything hurt! "I can't believe I allowed this thing to beat me into such a state," She tried to stand up, but her legs couldn't hold her for long, and so she fell back. Her sight was becoming blurry. "Don't lose consciousness now!" She told herself, using her powers to keep herself awake.
There was a tremor and then a laugh that Psyko Girl had grown to despise throughout the battle. "I guess this makes it the seventh S-Tier hero I have defeated, and the first time you have suffered a defeat, isn't it?" The creature said with a mocking laugh. "As far as I'm concerned, that is a new world record!" He added in between laughs. "No matter what you throw at me, heroes, you can't defeat me!" He stated. "I'm the übermensch! I'm the one who stands on top of all races! The greatest product of genetic engineering! The pinnacle of humanity and its evolution!" The man towered on top of Psyko Girl. "To me… YOU ARE ALL ANTS!!!"
"Is this really where I die?" Psyko Girl asked herself. "Damn it! No! I must fight until the end…." Psyko Girl stood up, but she was immediately kicked back by the monster. She looked up at the beast that had defeated her. Then, a loud scoff was heard as footsteps approached their location. Psyko Girl turned her head to her side, and there she saw a man, almost as tall as the so-called übermensch.
The man was wearing a blue, formal suit and his also blue, messy hair moved with the wind. The monster turned to look at the man, and the man looked up at the beast, revealing his sharp, bright yellow eyes. "Pinnacle of evolution? You are but a child drunk with power," The man stated. "This is what happens when you give humans too much power… They revert back to their primitive state… That is why you can never progress…."
The monster scoffed. "And who could you be?" The monster asked. "Another hero that has come to fight me? I don't recognise your face," It stated. "No," The man simply said. "I am but a humble civilian…."
"A civilian?!" Psyko Girl screamed in her mind. "Does he have a death wish?!" The monster then began to laugh out loud. "Do you have a death wish?!" It exclaimed in between laughs.
Meanwhile, the man just stood there, looking at the beast with a dull look. "No matter, I will kill you now," The übermensch cocked back its fist and then threw its punch towards the man. "Wait!" Psyko Girl exclaimed. She tried to use her powers, but it didn't work; she used a lot of energy to stay conscious. Then, there was a loud bang, and the shockwave rippled across the land. Dust covered the scene. Psyko Girl stood there, a perplexed expression on her face. "I failed… I couldn't even save that civilian… I…"
The dust settled, Psyko Girl's perplexed state only amplified as the man just stood there, holding the beast's punch like it was nothing with one arm. A chill crept down Psyko Girl's spine as she felt an immense, raw energy burst from within the man, like a tornado of sheer power. A tremendous presence that felt like a crushing weight emanated from him. Her mind shuddered, and her heart raced, never had she witnessed something like this. Then, without saying a word, the mysterious man cocked back his fist and, in a blur of motion, punched the übermensch in the chest. The attack packed such a punch that not only did the monster explode, but it was utterly disintegrated, wiped out from existence. The shockwave dispersed the smoke that covered the city, extinguishing the fires that still raged across several ruins.
No words were uttered by Psyko Girl, as she just stood there, mouth open, looking at the spot where the most significant menace the League of Heroes had ever faced had stood but a few seconds ago. Then, when she was back at her senses, she spoke. "W-Wait, who…" But as she looked around, she realised the man was long gone, and so, the gruesome battle of Yokohama was brought to an end.
