The Savior

*Warning: heavy*

The Girl is a famous student in her school.

Not in a way that other students would like to be, though.

The case of her bullying was like a rolling ball of snow. It started simple, with only a few people.

Since there was no reaction from The Girl, more joined. And the ball kept rolling, turning into a gigantic mess.

The more she kept silent, the more they vent on her.

Human is social.

Our ideas, our very beings are nothing but a part of society. We do not have the skills nor the abilities to survive alone in this world. A human needs other humans to live and thrive.

If there is an individual who is strange, we will cast them out.

It is in our history.

For someone with a different headset, we burn them in the name of our gods. Galileo was burn believing the Earth orbitted around the Sun.

It is in our evolution.

The Sapien drove the Neanderthal to extinction.

Even though the Neanderthal was stronger as an individual, or the fact that their brain volume was bigger, they lost the evolution war.

All because Homo Sapien was more social than them.

It is in our belief.

Our God and Gods, in the Crusade we made.

Human is selfish.

We only care about ourselves. We will hunt down anything we consider good without care. Until every single thing in this world is consumed, we will not stop.

It did not matter whether or not The Girl was to blame, the group held the majority of the opinion.

Everyone else was human.

She was the outcast.

The Girl was not equal to everyone else.

She was less than human.

Whatever the Girl said was wrong.

Whatever the others said was right. There was no second.

That is not to mention The Girl says only things that she considers to be logical. It only worsen the situation everytime since no one wanted to hear the bitter truth.

It was lucky that she did not feel pain physically.

The others were smart enough to do things to her mentally rather than calling someone to beat her up.

They knew that torturing someone with actual wounds and bruises would never be taken lightly.

Thus the "Special treatment".

Whenever The Girl is walking to school, there would always be an empty circle around her. People will avoid her on purpose.

Some chose to do so in order to not become another target.

They think that joining into the circle around The Girl would greatly decrease their social stands. And so, they would walk out of the way.

Some chose to do so because it was "what everyone was doing".

They just go with the flow. Because if they are not doing the same thing, they are not fitting in.

The Girl understood the issue.

However, she never addressed it straight to anyone. She did not know who to complain to, as well. It was not like she could bring the whole thing to the school. There was no way the school could help.

To her, it is too complicated to solve with mere words only as her good points are not in conversation skills.

She thought to herself, that maybe she was treated differently because of her appearance.

Looking at other people, at looking at her reflection in the mirror, she knows that was just a part of it.

The problem lies in her very being. It is the way she moves, the way she talks, the way the express her opinion. The problem is in her existence.

Inside her, there really was a missing piece, preventing her from become a part of the crowd.

She was really not human enough.

Not that she worried being less than human.

At least, to The Girl, it gave her a peace of mind at school.

She could read, she could play games, she could do whatever she liked.

The circle of isolation helped her in one way or another for a peace of mind.

The Boy broke it.

He broke the silence around her.

The peace and quiet of isolation was gone in one sentence.

Under the beauty of the yellow petals, The Boys waited to be her companion.

He stood still, eyes glued on her figures. She could make out a sense of bewilderness.

His voice, strong and warm as the sun, pierced through the darkness she thought she was fine with.

She would never doubt The Boy's words.

She knew he would never lie to her as they were the same kind.

Well, she did lie to him that one time to keep him by her side like this.

Loud and clear, every single words and letters went through her ears, and exploded in her head.

She was beautiful to him on that sunny day.

The face, that was constently being downgraded by her, was accepted.

She had never even dreamed of being called beautifull and The Boy was complimenting her in this broad daylight with so many people around.

Her body was stunned dead in its location upon his words.

Her heart was beating faster and faster after each seconds.

From the inside of her chest, loud thumping sounds could be heard.

The Void inside her was quickly filled with light. Never before that she had felt such warmth. Even the synthetic fabric of the uniform on her body felt softer than before. From head to toes, her entire body was having a fuzzy feeling like being enveloped by a soft and soothing blanket.

That moment definitely gave her something.

It gave her happiness.

To belong to someone.

To be of use to someone.

To be beautiful to someone.

"If this is not happiness, then I am truly hopeless." She thought to herself.

Her body increased its temperature. She might have had a slight fever. Nevertheless, she extended her right hand and grabed his.

Her slender fingers quickly intertwined with his fingers.

"Don't mind my sweaty palm, Mr. Boyfriend." She said while looking straight ahead.

Her eyes were unable too look at him.

"You know I don't." Said Mr. Boyfriend.

The urge to be normal in her mind was gone.

She knew, that it was needed, in order for her to find him. Someone who would gladly accept her for who she is.

There is no need for her to be normal to everyone.

It is only him.

The Boy is her community.

The Boy is her world.

The Boy is her new normal.
