the guenvik flower

"This is one of our hideouts, our brewery room" Gyko said as they entered a room filled with containers and shelves, with a big cauldron in the middle, like a witche's potion room, and that's what it was, it was a potion making room.

Alan moved around, he saw all kinds of herbs, flowers, and worms. One flower particularly stood out, it was in a giant wooden box as supposed to the others that were not as firmly preserved

"Why is this plant preserved differently?" He asked

"It's the Guenvik flower resevoir, a bit more special than the rest" Tiwa replied

"What's special about it, it looks ordinary, well in this world at least

-Guenvik flowers are some of the most precious flowers on Nyangotrama, they not only weaken Logachtiges, but they also give us more power simultaneously. A guenvik flower potion, called Lahar, will cause what we call a temporal snap to Logachtiges, any Lahar elixir spilled on top of a Logachtige's head will make them remain static for an hour, and when they come back to consciousness, they would've forgotten about all of what happened during that hour and what happened the hour before, we usually use it when we know Sworvik is about to kill some of them, because they won't remember most if any of who died and we won't be as severely punished.

-what does it do for you guys?

-it heals our bodies and allow us to regenerate, preventing us from dying after a Logachtige attack

-oh I see, so that's how you combat this terrorising lifestyle?

-basically yes, it's all in the Guenvik flower. Logachtiges are also allergic to it in the wild, so we know they won't approach it, it's our shield.

-what other potions can you guys brew?

-oh, a LOT, we have a lot of trees and flowers in Nyangotrama, each with their own unique energy, we know how to extract that energy, and with a bit of Telydust and spell casting, make it work for us.

-wait... you cast spells?

-of course, don't you see that bookshelf? they're all spell books

-is casting spells something any Gwaxyguen creature can do?

-well, in the presence of a Guenara rock, yes. But only us and Tribakwiyans still have the spell books, Ecaura has them memorised, and when it comes to other creatures, they are oblivious

-the more I think I've seen everything in Gwaxyguen, the more I get shocked with every new island, I wonder what the next one holds

-the Touh island, home to the Meskyors and Nordehartets, both are..

-no no, don't tell me about it yet, I just reached Nyangotrama, I'd actually like to look at a potion book you have now, I think it will give me an idea on how this world works better

-sure, here's one!"

Alan read the title, it said "brewery to the living", brewery to the living was a potion book that contained potions that affect living entities, other potion books contained ones that affect objects.

The first page read "Volume I: the citizens"

Volume II had pure Artelys specific potions, Volume III was for Logachtiges, volume IV was for flora, and Volume V, the shortest one, was for fauna.

The second page had a list of all of the fifty potions and the main ingredient for each

1- Azyr: Kadea leaves

2- Bora bora: Kadea bark

3- Cerast: Kadea elixir

4- Demetla: Grou peddles

5- Essul: Grou pins

6: Fysquel: Grou flowers

8- Gurrs: Toslup berries

9- Heilar: Toslup seeds

10- Ite: Toslup leaves

11- Jyppal: Toslup vines

12- Kourout: Guenvik air roots

13- Lahar: Guenvik flowers

14- Mono: Guenvik peddles

15- Nomo: Guenvik nectar

16- Oiskroch: Guenvik pins

17- Peskar: Guenvik ground roots

18- Quadem: Guenvik air & ground roots

19- Ralect: Nyoran twirls

20- Srovi: Nyoran aero roots

21- Tweb: Nyoran polar extensions

22- Usrov: Nyoran fruit

23- Vislepnia: Nyoran base

24- Whercore: Qyn daggers

25- Xancore: Qyn dagger bases

26- Yincore: Qyn dagger tops

27- Zancore: Qyn dagger blood

The list was still going, and Alan got tired, and also had some questions to ask, about the flora he read about in the first twenty three potions.

Wers took him to see the stuff he just read about, the Nyoran plant was particularly magnificent; the plant did not have any ground roots, it had a base the rest of the plant stood on, it has green branches coming out of it in multiple directions, after a certain height the branches become a bit like coils, twirled around. In the middle of each coil there is another base where a fruit stays, four of the branches extend in the four directions and remain straight, with no twirling whatsoever, those were the polar extensions. Its roots were at the top, extending from the swirls.

"Do Logachtiges know about this place?

-no, they don't know about it, or the fact that we brew potions, it's our best kept secret yet, potions are the only way we could beat them for once, or at least neutralise them. There are also a few other..

-shut up" Pnomal cut Wers off, glaring at him with a piercing look

"You know what, forget about it, it wasn't even that important" Wers said

Alan wasn't stupid, he knew that whatever was going to be said wasn't as unimportant as it was made out to be, he figured that he wasn't trustworthy enough to know all Artely secrets for now, after all their existence is at steak. Alan was going to look at Xynar, to see where the pages are, when it donned on him that he doesn't have it.

...

"Orahyyyy, Orahyyyy" Bakishlog screamed at Orahy, who flew up to her face

"Yes Bak, what's up?" He always had to put fake excitement in his voice and manners, that's how it's always been

"I found this tiny little book in the forest, I heard some noise and I felt something moving, I'm quite sure the book was moving, because nothing else was in the proximity. Take it, if it is cursed, annihilate it.

-Yes Bak."

Orahy took the book to the brewery room, and when he entered he found the door open, and only Pnomal was there

"Where did the others go?" Orahy asked confused

"After Alan

-WHAT? where did he go?

-he stormed out, he said he was going to go look for a book he had with him when he first came here, I think it's called Xynar

-I have it with me,i t's here.

-oh well.

-what do you mean "oh well" How are you so cool about it? What would happen if a Logachtige saw him?

-to be honest, I don't quite care

-did you even try to stop him?

-this guy has the magic of four island citizens, including Quantum shifters, we tried to stop him, we did try, but it sure didn't do anything. You have no idea how much he can terraform the area around him and flawlessly manipulated it like a marionette.

-is he that advanced already?

-yes, he is, I didn't even try to help the others stop him from storming out, I knew he would still be able to do it no matter what we do.

-I bet a Visplenia potion would've done it

..

23- Vislepnia: Nyoran base

A Visplenia potion would make the affected Artely faint, it initially leaves them unconscious for 20 hours, each extra Nyoran base added to the potion in the brewery process adds an extra 5 hours to the fainting period. Visplenia works on any other creature group with a 2 hour starter time, as opposed to the 20 hour one it gives Artelys.

..

-those are too rare to waste, remember...
