Protect the One We Loves

He untied the rope from her and hugged her tightly, grateful enough to see her alive. "I'm sorry...I'm late...", he holds her, and his eyes change immediately.

"Xi Li, take him here", Xi Mu said as he caressed Xiu's face gently, wiping the blood on her face.

Xi Li doesn't talk much, he goes with others men to drag Wang Wei Yi here.

"Xi Mu...", Xiu suddenly talks. Xi Mu held her up carefully. She sits with Xi Mu's leg supporting her back.

"I'm sorry...I didn't mean what I said back then...I'm sorry...", Xiu said slowly while holding his hands, her eyes getting teary.

"Shh...I know it, you don't need to explain it to me...", Xi Mu wipes the tears that fall from her guilt.

Xiu hugged him, she tighten her arms over his muscular body.

"I know I'm wrong...I love you, Xi Mu. I don't want to see you get hurt because of me..", she muffled as she was holding her tears in. She knows she was harsh with her words before, she just doesn't know what is the best way to not let him come back then, that was the only way, to show her determination that he can't ever come with her.

Xi Mu smiled, he caressed her hair gently and pat her head as she hugged him tightly.

"I love you too, Xiao Xiu", he kissed her forehead and hugged her.

Xi Li comes with Wang Wei Yi beside him.

"Xi Mu, here", Xi Li pushed Wang Wei Yi until he was on his knees.

Wang Wei Yi slowly raised his head. He saw Xiu with Xi Mu, side by side. He smiled.

"You dare to smile, Mr. Wang?", Xi Mu was about to punch his face but Xiu held his hand, and shook her head, signaling that he can't hurt him. Xi Mu clenched his fist.

"Why? Just hit me, I'm a loser after all", he chuckled. He changes his eyes direction to Xiu, and his expression changed.

"Xiao Xiu...I'm...I'm sorry...", he said while bringing down his head. He holding his tears.

Xiu gets down to match her eyes level with him. "It's okay, Brother Wei. You are also a victim, no one of us is at fault, you don't need to be sorry", she held his hand, saying she is okay with everything.

"No...I'm such a bad brother...you even risk your life just to save me...", he cried, his tears falling endlessly, watching her face carefully, the face that bear the trouble all by herself.

Xiu confused. How did he know that she risked her life to save her? Then she saw someone slowly trying to leave the room. Ji Wen Yu, you really!! She gave him a death stare.

"If not me, then who's gonna help you?", she asked, smiling.

Wang Wei Yi hugged her, "I'm sorry, Xiao Xiu", he was crying more and more.

How can he not? The one he almost killed is actually the one who saved him, the one who protect everyone from the dangers, not letting anyone know about her trouble. He should have known her better, he grew up with her but he know nothings about her. He feels guilty about what he did to her.

Ji Wen Yu come and pushed both of them away, "Stop your drama...can't you see her boyfriend about to kill you?", Wen Yu said as he eyed Xi Mu.

Xiu smiled as she saw Xi Mu's face, where did he learn how to pout his mouth?! He...looks cute though. She stand up and held his hand, "I loved no one but you..", she whispered to his ears.

Xi Mu was shocked by a sudden confession. He tried to cover his expression but his white skin gave away his feeling.

Xiu smiled watching him get shy over it. She kissed his cheek, trying to get more mischievous.

They look at each other, smiling widely, they walked out hand in hand, leaving others behind.

"Wah...they are so cruel...can't they have a sense of humanism? I'm a single and lonely person...why do they show their affection here?!", Wen Yu protested.

"I missed my Yao Yao...", Xi Li said and pouted his mouth.

While Wang Wei Yi observed both of them until they both went out of the frame, he smiled.

"It's good that you found a man that is better than me..."
