"I have good news I just got a job" she got in to a sitting position looking happy yet surprised.

"seriously honey I'm so happy for you finally... do you think my parents will accept you now" she looked at him like she really needed that yes

"I don't think so belle I just got a job I'm not rich yet" he stated as a matter of fact .

" I know in the next year or so you'll do wonders Jake I believe in you " she hugged him and he could feel the love she had for him in that hug .

Jake had done architecture but he was having a hard time looking for work .

"I promised to do everything in my power to make sure we end up together " he kissed her forehead reassuringly .

" goodnight honey sleep now" he covered them before they both drifted to sleep

Maybell had just finished studying and was

now watching her favorite Netflix series when she got a call

" hey Sean "

"hey bestie how have you been all day "

" I have been ok how about you " Maybell could already predict what he was going to say

'I'm not ok you couldn't even ask how I am ' she thought

" I'm not ok May you couldn't even check in to know how your bestie is doing " Maybell laughed out loud wondering how a man could be so predictable

" why are you laughing May did I say something funny" she could sense confusion in his voice

" No Sean I just find you funny " " well I hope that's a good thing then "

" Yeah I like funny people "

"ok so I called to say goodnight since you can't call to tell me goodnight" he feigned sadness which made her laugh

" ok then goodnight Sean I'll try to call you too and check up on you "
