Chapter 35

"Wow! This place is amazing!" Greg chirped as he looked around the football stadium in awe.

They had just arrived at the football cookout party and the smell of barbecue and fresh cut grass wafted through the air. Eve smiled as she saw little Harper running in circles around the fifty-yard line while one of the Ashford twins chased her.

Hunter was manning the grill with his father, nursing a beer while his brother Nick told them about his last doctor visit and his progress getting back into the MMA ring. They set tables up along the side of the field and all the Ashfords were there, along with several of their friends.

As Eve and Greg made their way across the field, little Harper caught sight of them. Running straight for them, she was dressed in an adorable football outfit with her father's old jersey number on it.

"Evey!" she squealed as she ran to her.

As she reached her, Eve scooped her up into a big hug.

"I missed you, Evey!"
