Chapter 119: Friendly Business

Violet Krane sat in her new office in Brooklyn, New York, looking at the logo on the wall behind her desk. She was trying to calm herself after an awful morning she had. A flat tire on her car spilled coffee on her dress, forcing her to buy a new one on the way to work. Once she arrived, she got lost getting off at the wrong floor in the office building. But she was here, finally. She made it to her dream job at A-Sports News. 

After all the years working in low-level magazines and news shows, her time scraping her way to the top was finally paying off; she was here. She sat on the couch in the room across from her massive desk, frozen to her seat. The twitch of her eye and the shaking of her hands were doing nothing to calm her.
