Chapter 144

After the wedding, they went and changed into casual outfits to be more comfortable for the reception. Violet went and changed into a short white summer dress that was similar to her wedding dress. Brody changed into jeans and just a white button-up shirt. She came out of the guest room, finding him leaning against the wall with his hands in his pockets. 

"Well, hello Mrs. Ashford. You sure look beautiful tonight. May I escort you to the party?" 

Violet smiled and took his arm. "You may. Brody, today is so perfect."

"Well, almost. Violet, before we go back outside, I want to ask you something." He looked concerned. Violet stopped him and faced him, looking in his eyes. "I don't feel good about not telling my parents or the kids about the baby."

"Thank goodness. Only Aunt Milly knows. It's driving me crazy."

"You too? I want to share it with the world. So, would it be okay if we announce it tonight?"
