His Magician Academia

Eric sighed and took in his school gym one final time, while the girls words cycled through his mind. He began thinking about his stats. 100 intelligence meant he could understand almost everything. His strength stat was well below average at 238. The only physical exercise he did was throwing that stupid clock which had always seemed invincible. Then there was his magic potential, 88, his ability to increase his strength in each element. Some people called it cultivation, the cycling of that elements mana within ones body, but honestly it sounded like a bunch of crap.

The Royal Mages appeared, seemingly, out of nowhere. The three women stepped out of the shadow of the building and hurried over to him. Somehow they knew who he was, but that didn't matter at the moment. The Mages nodded to each other, then two of them left. The other one had a purple light on the tip of her finger. She was drawing a circle on the floor big enough for a small group to fit in it.

Then, one of the Mages appeared from outside, followed swiftly by Mat and Hatch. Mat looked the same except covered in dirt while Hatch had changed into a fine suit and seemed to be trying to impress the senior Magiks. He was failing miserably, but points for trying.

The other Mage came in 15 minutes later, followed begrudgingly the girl who Eric spoke to. Another girl in red shorts and matching t-shirt followed. She was trying to speak to the girl who wasn't looking up to see where she was walking, but that one was swearing under her breath as obnoxiously as a kid who had been taken away from an all you can eat candy buffet.

The Mages herded the 4 kids and practically dragged the muttering girl into the circle where the world seemed to fold into shadows around them. When they could see out of the circle they were somewhere else entirely. They were standing on the patio overlooking a large field for training. To the north was a large building resembling six pillars with a glass dome between them. To the west was a single cubic structure with multiple balconies, dormitories Eric assumed. Finally, to the east, was a glass walled area, filled with what appeared to be wooden bars a machines. If it was a gym, it was several times bigger than the gym they came from.

"Students. First lesson is at 7:30 in the morning. More information will be given by your teacher. Now go to your rooms. Floor 9 and 10 are your personal accommodations we expect the very best from you all. Now good fortune to you all." The three Mages bowed, and the one who spoke touched the purple circle. They disappeared by turning into shadows and walking into the nearest dark spot.

The red girl, who introduced herself as Serena, casually half-dragged a scowling swearing girl behind her. Hatch was already heading to the dorm without them, so Mat and Eric rushed to follow. Once they reached the dorm, and climbed what seemed to be a million stairs, they reached the 9th floor. The girl who seemed to be trying to avoid all human interaction swore at them before slamming a door shut in their faces. Serena, however, politely asked them to go to the 10th floor to make themselves at home. So they did, with only a couple of backward glances.

Mat took the room on the left, while Hatch the one on the right. Eric opened the door at the end of the corridor, but it lead to a stairway heading upwards. When he reached the top, only a small bedroom was there. It had 9 doors littered around it, but none could be opened. What a disappointing room.
