Episode 10 : Culture festival ( Part 4 )

**Today is the day? Arcane shouts "ahh" while watching himself in the mirror, he has dark circles and looks like he didn't got a proper sleep. He spent whole night thinking about Chino, Smiling without a reason and couldn't have dinner even when he was hungry. Asking to himself "what is wrong with me?" He actually knows that he is in love with chino but he couldn't understand why he was feeling anxious? He started getting ready for school, he was awake whole night but even then he has a bright smile different from other days**

Mrs yusuke shouted from down stairs "Arcane! You have a phone call"

Arcane was surprised "Ah? This early. Who is it, mom?"

Mrs yusuke replied "Izumi kun, he wants you to talk."

**Arcane wonders "it's odd he usually call me on my phone." Arcane try to look for his phone, but couldn't find it anywhere. Then he decided to first receive call, rushed towards the call and when he reached there it was already hung.**

Arcane annoyingly "Why did he called?"

**Arcane goes back to his room to find his phone after searching all around for some time he realises that his phone was in his pocket, it was on silent mode and there was many texts and missed calls by Izumi and Nobuko**

Arcane was worried after seeing these many texts "Ahh! I even had text from Riku senpai, Looks like something happened."

**Arcane left for the school , on his way he tried to call Izumi and others but no one answered him and when he reached school it was all normal. Everything was going as per festival schedule they all together managed to do it, as he entered he first saw the person was Rena**

• Rena

Rena was a representative of the other class ( Class 2-A ) and the best friend of Chino, Chino once saved her from getting bullied on the first year of middle school after that incident Rena started idealizing Chino as her saviour which made them best friends. Despite that Arcane and Rena doesn't have a good relations, they are just friends but from inside they both don't trust each other.

**Arcane doesn't wanted to get a bad luck from her so he just avoided her and went to his classroom where he saw Riku senpai, Izumi and Nobuko were discussing something**

Arcane loudly "oi, Izumi why did you called me on my phone?"

Izumi giggled "Speak of the devil, we where just talking about you."

"We managed to bring Riku senpai with us, now the group which was going to allocate randomly we can mix you with Chino." Nobuko said

Arcane surprisingly "Senpai?"

Riku replied "It's a way of thanking you for saving culture festival."

Izumi said "For now, let's go. We had our final drama too."

**Riku senpai headed out for final preparations of the main event and they all 3 went to shrine with other class 2-B students. This time the main event ( Test of Bravery ) was situated at forest of shrine, shrine is connected to a forest which makes it perfect place to hold test of bravery and for fire works.The final drama was great success, which lead them to get 3rd best activity prize on the culture festival.

Now it was time for the main event of the culture festival, Student Council and most of 3rd years students were in lead to manage it. The student council make them go in pair of 4 students at a time, Arcane decided to ask chino to be in his grp with Izumi and Nobuko.

Arcane went to find Chino, when he saw her she already decided to go with Rena and her friends. So he rushed to chino, He was nervous to ask in front of other girls, he was sweating and unable to look directly into face of chino and it was awkwardly silence where all girls were starring him**

Arcane nervously "Ch- chino ....We all 3 are going together do you wanna join us?"

Rena angrily "Huh! Can't you see we all are going together."

Nobuko requested "Rena ... Pls let her come with us. I will patch you up with something later."

Rena replied "No. She is going with me."

"Sorry Arcane... but I promised to Rena to go together." Chino said

**Chino and others started leaving from there, Arcane couldn't stood there standing and let her go so he ran towards her and holds chino's hand. Everyone around them got suprised, Chino understood that Arcane was going to confess but she was too embarassed or to be correctly said she was scared, scared about the timing. She doesn't want to make a wrong decision. Arcane hold her hand strongly and slowly her grip started getting stronger as he gets nervous, now it started hurting Chino... after seeing that Rena came closer with intension to slap him but Nobuko stoped her, Arcane went on knees to confess her in just like fairly tale book which Chino always used to keep with her when she was in elementary school and after looking into her eyes he said "Chino , I want to thank you to born in this world and to become my friend." Everyone was in shock but then suddenly Chino slapped Arcane and started and ran cryingly in the forest. They all went looking for her as it was already late and she ran over the opposite side of shrine which was strictly prohibited due to animals and old legends. Everyone was worried for her because it's been more than half hour but they couldn't find her.**

Arcane desperately "Izumi, did you found her?"

Izumi said "Not yet. Maybe she went more deeper to forest, we are all heading back to bring more help."

"Ok, I will search a little more.... you go fast and bring others to help." Arcane was frustrated from himself

**Arcane looked for her over, it was already dark and a thick fog slowly surrounded the near area. Arcane desparetly started running in forest shouting "Chino - Chino", after some time he wasn't able to see in that fog and even it was a day without a moon so it started getting dark in the fog. Arcane suddenly heard a different sound, it was like someone singing. The voice was low and unclear, it was sweet lullaby which mother's used to sing.**

"Mori mo iyagaru, Bon Kara saki-nya ( I would hate baby-sitting beyond bon festival )

Yuki mo chiratsuka-shi, ko mo naku-shi ( The snow begins to fall, and the baby cries )

Bon ga kita-tote, Nani ureshi-karo ( How can I be happy even when bon festival is here? )

Katabira wa nashi, obi wa nashi ( I don't have nice clothes or a sach to wear )"

**After following to that voice for some time he reached to a big tree which had a mark of small kid sleeping in the lap of her mother, he started shouting again "chino where are you?" Suddenly he heard Chino's voice**

Chino shout "Arcane! Is it you?"

**Arcane can hear Chino so he started to look around that big tree. Arcane goes behind the tree where he saw Chino fallen on the pit, actually into a small well. She twisted her ankle and couldn't climb back from there, Arcane suddenly started laughing and sat near the tree**

Arcane laughed "How is the view from there?"

Chino cryingly "Ahh ....Just pull me out... It's dark here

Arcane replied "You know that small well is actually equal to 3/4th of your height. You can easily climb back when your ankle feels better."

Chino annoyingly "I am hungry... And it's too dark."

**Arcane started crying In relief that he found her and she is actually fine. All other students reached near the pit and took Chino out all were glad that she was safe and they started heading back to shrine. As they were heading back it's started snowing all were amazed because it wasn't the winter season but when they reached out there was so crowded, Teachers, Police, Chino's parents and Arcane's father which was talking to Rena. No one knew what actually happened between Arcane and Chino, but his father listen the words from Rena due to which Mr Ysuske acted in anger and slapped Arcane. After slapping he left in anger, everyone started to go home and after some there was no one except Arcane who was standing in the the ground under the snow fall**

**It was a day when it snowed making a memorizing sight near river and also a day when Arcane saw his father for last time**
