First challenge

"I love you"

I said to my wife, words that I would want her to know... it's an easy word to say, but is hard when telling it to someone

"of course you do"

She answered it's a reply I don't expect her to say, as I want her to say the same words I did, call it greed as you must

Were married and already got a kid but did she really love me...I believed she did, we did live together for thirteen years, it's a long time to ignore for someone who is faking her feelings

While I was pondering about my greed, I heard a scream echoed not just in one place but everywhere

Their scream echoed and suddenly everyone panicked,

"Get out of the way!"

An old man shouted, he tried to push my body, but I wasn't that weak that I would fall

I don't have any idea to what is going on, but I have my priorities straight, I grabbed my wife's hand, as confusion can be seen on her face, not that I can blame her I'm also confused as to why everyone panicked

While tightly gripping the hand of my wife we let the wave of people panicking guide us whenever they are heading to,

"Ahhhh!, it's a monster"

A girl near me screamed, I almost let go of my wife's hands to cover my ear at that moment, but I regain my control when I heard my wife's voice

"Honey, where are we going"

Her voice was accompanied by the scream of multiple people, but I heard what she wanted to say

I tighten the hold in her hand and shouted just to be sure she would hear my voice

"Well go along with them!"

A minute passed and after hearing countless screams and voices of so many people me and my wife arrived at a big door...it got a green colored frame...and that's it

The only thing visible is the frame making a dome-like shape..and in the center of the door is darkness

If I'm gonna pick I wouldn't even enter the suspicious door..but I changed my mind when I saw a bunch of people run toward the door, some crawled their way just to enter, some with another person in their back, while I and my wife is in the side of that door thinking if we should go in or not

"Hey Gary, I think we should enter"

My wife said but her body told me something different, her whole body trembled and I'm sure she's also scared to enter the door, as this door doesn't have anything that can resemble heaven it's more like a passage to hell

She gripped my hand tightly, I didn't take my eyes off her until she finished saying with her stuttering voice

"Gary let's go, we need to see our child"

I see, even in this situation she is thinking of our child, she really is strong..and unlike her, here I am overthinking my every move

'I'm already dead my wife is also dead. and I couldn't take care of my child .what else could I lose'

Is the excuse I need to give myself just to have enough courage to rush toward the door accompanied by my lovely wife

The second floor

Unlike the first floor that doesn't look like anything, this place is green, it got grass growing almost everywhere and large trees comparable to a two-story building

It's a magical world

Is a thought that crossed the mind of every human presented on the second floor of the castle

This place also has birds chirping happily, rabbit hopping, and bushes creating many sorts of berries

It's a place that anyone could live but is it heaven, isn't heaven supposed to be majestic a place where everyone wouldn't feel hunger

"This place is amazing!"

"Are we perhaps in heaven!"

"I'm on the good list!"

The voices of many people that wouldn't question if this is heaven or not, as they are tired and wanted to think of this place as a somewhere they can rest and live

Gary is no exception, seeing the beautiful scenery, he grabbed his wife's hand and stared to her eyes, before saying with his voice filled with joy

"Honey we are in heaven! maybe we'll see a god that we can ask about our son"

Opposite to him, his wife kneels to the ground letting go of Gary's arm

She looked above where she saw Gary's worried face and said

"Were still alive"

"No were not were already dead"

Gary said, which her wife responded with a smile, hiding behind her smile, is the feeling of fear..her fear that the door that they just entered is gonna lead them to hell and they would die unable to see their child...but it got overturned when she saw the beautiful scenario

Her smile suddenly become natural and she said to her worried husband

"Gary let's ask about our child"

Which Gary responded

"That's what I said a seconds ago"

"hahaha, really?"

Gary's wife said, teasing her husband.....

"Ahem, hello everyone and welcome to the second floor of the purgatory ..yes we call it a purgatory, anyway on this floor you need to complete a challenge, and don't worry it's a simple challenge that I'm sure half of you can accomplish"

A voice coming from the walls

"Okay, unlike the guy on the first floor I will tell you what you needed to complete the challenge--"

"Hey I told them the rules I just don't repeat them "

A familiar voice coming from the wall which got overturned by the previous voice

"Don't!, I'm in charge of this floor don't butt in, anyway what you needed to do is simple....just survive until the time reaches zero.."

Seconds after the voice something suddenly appeared in everyone's head telling them a certain time
