That Dream

Abriella tried to get up from her lying position, assisted by the three friends who then gave Abriella a glass of warm water to drink.

"Answer us, Ella! What happened to you?" Jane's question made Abriella turn to her and shake her head slowly. Abriella couldn't have told her three friends about the strange dream, because she didn't know who pushed her down from the top of the building.

"I just don't feel well, and I have a headache. Looks like my blood sugar has dropped, so…"

"So you passed out unconscious, and let all of us who wanted to visit you today panic because you didn't pick up your phone, and didn't open the door for us! So we had to ask security for help to get a spare key and went inside to find you lying limp on the sofa. All that is caused by your blood sugar!" The words that did not stop from Melinda's mouth made Abriella silent, not expecting that in the end, she would get a scolding from her friend.

Jane and Natasha, who saw Abriella feeling guilty, immediately hit Melinda's arm, although not so hard. But enough to make the woman grunt and glare at the two of them. "Ouch! What?" Melinda asked her two friends.

Jane, who was right beside Melinda, rolled her eyes and glanced at Abriella without the woman knowing, which finally made Melinda realize her mistake in scolding Abriella when they should take care of her.

"Oops!" Melinda whispered who then covered her lips with her hands, and felt guilty for what she just said to Abriella.

Natasha chuckled then she sat next to Abriella and immediately put her arm around the woman's shoulder and said, "Well, you don't need to listen to the babble of the duck's mouth!" Natasha's words to Abriella made Melinda who also heard it immediately protest.

"Hey!" It was precisely the protest that managed to make Abriella smile holding back her laughter.

Jane, Natasha, and Melinda also felt relieved because they could make their best friend laugh when she was sick.

But without them knowing, Abriella had lied to them about her blood sugar deficiency. They did not know the real problem Abriella was facing behind her smile at that time.

"Then you should eat a lot of Ella! I'll make something for you, wait a minute!" Jane, who is good at cooking, immediately got up from her place and ran to the kitchen to see what she could make from the ingredients and vegetables in Abriella's refrigerator. The curious Melinda followed Jane's footsteps, leaving Abriella sitting with Natasha on the sofa.

Feeling the room was too quiet, Natasha had the initiative to turn on the television by taking the remote under the table. But when she was about to turn on the television, Abriella who saw this immediately threw the remote that Natasha had just been holding, which finally made the remote fall back on the floor, quite far from where they were now.

Natasha was surprised, she turned to look at Abriella who looked scared. And that's when Natasha realized that there was something wrong with Abriella, her best friend. "Ella… What's wrong with you?" Natasha asked Abriella, but the Abriella who was asked then acted as if she didn't do it on purpose. Even though it was very clear on purpose by Abriella.

"Oh… Nat, I'm sorry! I accidentally bumped your hand." Said Abriella who then got up from her seat, but Natasha didn't let it go because she knew if Abriella had hidden something, she would hide it for the rest of her life. But this thing really made Natasha feel worried because Abriella looked different in just a split second.

"If you don't want to tell them that's fine… But at least you tell me. Just me, Ella! And I won't tell Jane and Melinda anything." Abriella turned to Natasha who managed to convince her that she would not tell their other two friends about the problem Abriella was now facing.

The girl finally nodded, and replied, "I'll tell you about it later when they're not here." Natasha nodded agreeing to the conditions given by Abriella who agreed to tell her. Natasha smiled sweetly at Abriella who smiled too, though faintly, who then walked over to pick up the remote that had fallen.

Natasha was silent when Abriella handed her the remote and said, "Here, you can turn on the television. But please don't set the volume too high. I wasn't in the mood to hear anything from there." Those were the words that Abriella said to Natasha that made the woman wonder if what Abriella had previously heard on television made her look scared like that.

But Natasha didn't question it now, because she had promised to listen to Abriella's story and reasons later, and she just nodded her head and turned on the television as Abriella walked into the kitchen to see her two friends busy cooking. Natasha looked at the television screen that was broadcasting a music program that made the room a little more lively than before.

Jane and Melinda have finished cooking a simple pasta made from the ingredients in the fridge. They also put the pasta on the dining table and saw Abriella who was already waiting for them at the dining table chair. "I don't know if you really can't wait to eat!" Jane said smiling at Abriella. Natasha, who knew that her two friends had finished cooking, immediately walked over to them and ate together while jokingly talking about some things they thought were funny or the jokes they made at that time.

They had finished with their dinner and immediately cleaned up the dirty plates and pans, after which they agreed to watch a movie they could watch. Abriella did not refuse the invitation and chose to join even though she felt that her body felt weak.

Abriella lay on the sofa they had extended, next to Jane who was sitting and munching on a snack. Meanwhile, Melinda and Natasha chose to sit on Abriella's soft carpet, while eating the popcorn they had cooked earlier.

The film they are currently watching is a romantic film in which the woman tries to convince the man that she loves him so much that he dies. At least that's what Jane told Abriella.

In the middle of the film, for some reason, Abriella felt very sleepy. She couldn't even hold back the drowsiness and just fell asleep beside Jane. Natasha, who intended to check on Abriella's condition, looked back and found her best friend sleeping so she went back to watching the movie that was taking place quietly.

Again, for the second time, Abriella had the same dream as before. She fell on the push by someone she didn't recognize and hit the ground so hard that she woke up instantly.

Abriella who woke up looked up at the ceiling of her dimly lit apartment. Abriella got up slowly from her sleeping position, seeing her friends sleeping on her right and left, also the television that had not been turned off which was still showing a different film than they had planned.

Abriella slowly got down from her place and walked towards the kitchen to get cold drinking water which she put in the refrigerator. After she drank the water, she chose to sit on a chair at her dining table. Abriella rubbed her face with her hands in frustration then slightly pulled her hair back to bring herself to reality.
