Presumption

"Ehem…" David cleared his throat as the two remained silent with each other. Abriella also turned to David who was looking at him probingly.

"I saw you were wearing different clothes from yesterday!" David said to Abriella who looked at her body which was now only wearing a brown bathrobe which finally made Abriella realize that she is currently conscious.

"Oh... My God! I fell asleep in the bathroom!" Said Abriella who was surprised and accidentally said that which of course made David surprised and confused.

David also looked at Abriella from bottom to top and tilted his head when he saw that there was no blood on Abriella so David suspected that Abriella had not died from an accident or suicide that caused bleeding in her body. David looked at Abriella who was thinking with a suspicious look, he finally guessed if Abriella died by drowning.

"What did you say? Fall asleep in the bathroom?" David asked the woman.

Abriella snapped out of her reverie and looked back at David. Then Abriella just shook her head and gave David a smile saying "Ah… Did I say that? Oh really?" Said Abriella who immediately pretended not to remember. David, who heard Abriella's words, held back his laughter, but he didn't laugh and only cleared his throat.

"Okay... Maybe I heard wrong." Said David who is now moving from his place, approaching the cupboard on the right side of the room.

Abriella was just silent and looked at David who was now walking to a different end of the room from where he was. 'Is it true that he was a murder victim and did not commit suicide?' Abriella thought while still watching David who now took off his coat and hung it in the closet. David then closed the closet again and loosened the tie he was wearing as he walked back to Abriella. David who looked at Abriella realized that the woman was staring at him but with his mind not here.

David smiled mischievously and drew closer to Abriella so that he was now standing right in front of her. Sure enough, the dreamy Abriella didn't notice the presence of David who was standing in front of her and kept staring ahead with a blank stare.

"What are you thinking about?" David asked in a whisper to Abriella.

Abriella's eyes, which were staring blankly, slowly moved and lifted her head to look directly at David who was standing right in front of her, a few inches away from her. Which finally managed to make Abriella surprised and immediately retreated a few steps back. "Good grief!" he shouted.

David, who saw Abriella's surprise, only chuckled softly, laughing at the woman's ghost. "So why are you daydreaming? I didn't think a ghost like you could still daydream." David said to Abriella.

"Huh? So you think ghosts like me shouldn't daydream? I also need to think about my life." Abriella protested to David. The man laughed again and nodded his head repeatedly as he walked towards the desk where he worked.

"Do whatever you want to do, as long as you don't bother me." Said David who then sat on the chair, looking at the data that had made Abriella curious.

Abriella turned to David and watched him intently, 'What a pity he was... Who was the man who killed him?' Abriella thought again about the tragic death of David. Because according to Abriella David's death was unfair, David didn't kill himself that day, but the news that spread was about the depression he was experiencing which made him commit suicide.

'Could this be why I'm here?' Abriella thought back, she didn't stay where she was. But drifting towards the sofa in this office space which looks quite comfortable. Abriella sat there and kept staring at David who was struggling with the licensing files.

While struggling with the files, David who felt he was being watched immediately lifted his head and looked at Abriella who was still staring at him without moving.

"Why are you looking at me like that earlier?" David asked Abriella who was now blinking her eyes repeatedly and shaking her head slowly. Abriella got up from her seat and floated up, back closer to David. 'I have to find out who the real killer is, and tell the police about this case. That way, maybe David will calm down and not appear in this dream of mine anymore.' Abriella thought as she hovered over the man of great charm.

"Hm… Are you planning to apply for a new business license? Don't you have many branches already?" Abriella asked David like that, he purposely diverts the conversation and leads him to something safer.

David was quite surprised by the question that Abriella gave him, but then he smiled and nodded his head as he looked back at the files in his hands at this time. "Yes, I am currently taking care of the licensing for the construction of a new business branch. You know about things like this?" Asked David, who was curious about Abriella who knew the function of the data on her desk.

Abriella smiled widely, she then approached David and stood next to the man saying, "Of course I know these things because I work as a Secretary where I work." Obviously, Abriella proudly she folded her arms forward and still looked at David who looked up at her.

"Oh, so you are a secretary. How long have you worked there?" David asked again, making Abriella think to remember how long she had worked at the company she currently works for.

"I've been working for four and a half years, until now." Abriella answered which then made David silent, thinking about the word 'Today' that came out of Abriella's mouth. Which made David think that maybe Abriella died while she was still working as a secretary.

At first, David felt normal with the things that had just crossed his mind. But just as another thought flashed through his head, David turned to Abriella quickly and looked at her with wide eyes.

'Or maybe he died because someone killed him... And it could be his boss!' That's what David thought that took him by surprise. It could have happened, but what was in David's mind was completely different from what had happened to Abriella.

"What is it?" Abriella asked David who was looking at him.

David, who wasn't ready for the question, cleared his throat and said, "If you're a secretary... Then you can help me, right, Abriella?" David said to Abriella who was confused by the question.
