Meet David Again

"Didn't I tell you not to put those files on the table in the corner of this room? Why don't you understand too? Oh God!!" The sound managed to wake Abriella from her sleep and opened her eyes to stare at the ceiling with a bright light. This was the first time Abriella had seen the lights in the room on, she finally got up and glanced out the window, realizing that it was midnight.

Abriella then turned to the front and looked at David who was scolding a woman who was standing in front of her wearing a neat black uniform. A shirt, coat, and skirt that she wears don't forget the work shoes that look right on his feet and the hair that she curls up. From that appearance, Abriella could conclude that the woman in front of David was his secretary.

'Thank God I'm back here again…' That was what Abriella was thinking as she looked at David.

The woman in front of David repeatedly apologized and finally made David could only exhale hard enough as he said. "Don't do it again, this will be your last reprimand! I won't hesitate to replace you with someone else if you can just forget about it, Clara!" That's what David said very seriously.

The woman nodded, smiled faintly, and said, "Thank you, sir. I will not do it again!" Said the woman very confidently, while David did not expect too much because in fact, the woman who served as his secretary had repeated this twice.

"Okay, I hope so! Come out… I want to work on some files!" Said to the secretary named Clara. However, it seems that because of a mistake made by Clara, she felt that she couldn't just leave her boss late at night to finish the files that had been forgotten as a result of her mistake in keeping the file on the table that David never wrote.

"Ah, I think it would be best if I helped you finish the whole file, sir." The woman spoke and refused orders from David. Abriella, who heard the woman's words, couldn't help but chuckle as she folded her arms in front of her, she also wondered if the woman in front of her didn't understand the boss's current mood? That was a question in Abriella's mind.

David exhaled again and took the file that was on his desk. Then he walked over to Clara the secretary and gave the whole file to her. "Then go through all these files and see me back when you're done with them!" Said David who was now lightly patting the shoulder of the woman in front of him, he walked back to his chair after he gave the file.

"Oh… And you can't go home until the file is finished! You understand Clara!" Said David who turned to look at the secretary when he forgot this one important thing. Meanwhile, Clara, who suddenly got a pile of assignments, could only nod obediently and walk out of David's room in disbelief.

David just sat in his chair and stared at the door of his room. After the door was closed tightly, then he turned to Abriella who was standing beside the sofa with her arms folded and her face now facing her.

"What?" David asked the female ghost figure who now shook his head, and decided to come closer to David. Fly like fairies or ghosts that have been in movies.

"I think you have chosen the wrong secretary, or maybe the standard of the secretary you like is… Bad!" Said Abriella who was now standing right in front of David and looking at him so arrogantly as if the woman named Clara was far below the standard, in contrast to her who already understood everything about secretarial matters.

David who looked up at Abriella chuckled softly and shook his head, "You came back here just to underestimate my secretary? Where have you been all this time? I thought you had crossed over to another realm!" Those were the words that David said when he turned his gaze to look back at his work laptop screen.

Abriella, who heard David's words so curtly, finally remembered what she was doing to David at that time. The last moment before she disappeared and returned to his senses from his dream. Abriella also glanced back at David, who was still focused on several files on his laptop, she felt ashamed and sorry for suddenly disappearing from David's sight. Even though it wasn't really what she wanted.

"Besides, I'm only gone for a day and not to another world… Did you miss me so much that you're angry right now?" That's what Abriella said in a tone that she deliberately made as spoiled as possible. Abriella didn't know if it would work on David, but at least this man in front of her would give up and talk to her again right? That's what Abriella wanted.

David glanced back at Abriella who was now looking at him with those puppy eyes, making David unable to continue his anger, or rather not angry, he only felt a little annoyed at Abriella who suddenly disappeared when David heard that Abriella hoped that they both could meet sooner than this, which meant she hoped that she would meet and become acquainted with David while she was still alive.

"You were gone for five days, and it made me finally think that you had gone to the afterlife in peace!" It was those words that made Abriella pause and widen her eyes. Staring at David who now turned his chair and sat facing Abriella with his hands resting on the armrests.

'Five days? I just didn't dream about this for two days, and… How could it be five days in this dream?' That's the question that Abriella asked herself and didn't get any answer because in reality she didn't understand what really happened nor was the time difference between the real world and her dream.

"If you're just going to stay here and go again, do as you want please! I don't have time to talk to someone who just wants to get to know me once!" That's what David said again.

The man stood up from his chair and walked towards a door that Abriella believed was his resting place in his comfortable office. When the door was closed, Abriella who was left alone did not stay silent, she chased David and penetrated the thick wall to explain something. Until his body stopped when it hit David who was still facing the closed door.
