"Say system, how much XP can I gain from killing a normal zombie?" Kenshin had arrived at the bottom of the building. He did not directly load on them but waited until he had a little more information.
(Answer: The host gets 1 xp per normal zombie killed. The value will go down as you kill zombies. Maybe after killing a hundred zombies you will end up at 0.8 XP. Monsters can also drop objects according to their class. A normal zombie can drop an object of class D or C for example but this depends on your LUCK. By improving this value, you will also be able to have more luck in the lottery. Items left by monsters go straight to inventory, with this high value you may even get something rarer or even remove lower item ranks.}
"Well." He didn't wait any longer, he jumped up the stairs to reach over the head of a zombie, crushing it directly on the ground.
{The host received 1 XP for killing a normal zombie. 1/20 XP.}
This noise attracted the other zombies who were in the crowd. They charged directly at Kenshin with madness and rage. Most of them ran pretty fast, but not all.
Kenshin summoned a medium sized knife that he had put in his inventory, in his left hand and then swung it at the first zombie that was heading towards him.
{The host received 1 XP for killing a normal zombie. 2/20}
He ignored the system notifications and then focused on the wave of zombie heading towards him. He clenched his dagger then waited for them to come.
It didn't take very long for the first zombie to come towards him to do a vertical hit towards his face. He dodged to the side and then cut off the zombie's head in a perfect line with his dagger.
'It's as easy as cutting butter. It doesn't seem like just words.' He directed his indifferent gaze to the neighbors who were approaching him.
He did not retreat but on the contrary, he also charged at them with his dagger which was pointing backwards.
* Splash * * Splash! * He sliced through zombies quickly while avoiding getting hit. According to the system, people who get injured have their blood boosted because of these monsters. Which can cause you to lose control over your body and turn into a monster as well. Knowing that he only has 1% of his dragon blood available, he's not going to be cocky.
* Boom * * Splash * He continued to slaughter zombies with his dagger and physical strength. He also kicked them to avoid hitting them all at the same time. The zombies had gotten weak for him, putting some strength into it, his dagger was doing the work for him as well.
After a few minutes, he had already slaughtered 75% of the zombies that were in front of his building. There were corpses all over the road, the driveway was stained with blood with lifeless bodies lying on their own blood.
On all these piles of corpses, a man covered in blood from head to toe, continued to kill zombies despite all the blood on him.
"I've been through the base quest for a while, but I just want to clean up those zombies in this area and then check out my rewards afterwards." Kenshin continued to kill zombies indifferently.
He wasn't tired, or at least struggling thanks to his very high endurance. He had also encountered a low level mutated zombie but he was very weak for his liking, he made him use more than half of his strength.
He had collected a small mana core which he immediately placed in his inventory. He'll take care of that later, he was busy cleaning up those zombies.
After a few more minutes, he was finally done taking care of those zombies and then he returned to his building with a sigh.
He put his blood-stained clothes in his inventory then lay naked on his bed watching his system notifications.

{Ding ! Congratulation ! The host has completed the quest "Zombies Hunt" and obtained the following rewards:
-0.1% of bloodline unlocked.
-2 rank D body pills (loot of zombies)
-1 D-rank dagger (loot of zombies)
-Title "Zombie Hunter" for killing 100 zombies.
Increases damage against normal zombies and rank 1 mutants by 30%.
The rewards are directly available in the inventory but bloodline will go directly to your body.}
After the system finished speaking, Kenshin felt a pleasant warmth in his body and then he felt his potency increase slightly but it was still good to take.
"It's a nice feeling. I should be taking these body pills too." He summoned the bottle containing the pills and swallowed them.
A weaker heat than the previous one ran through his body. 1 minute later, he opened his eyes and then he felt the change in his body.

"Dragon's blood is the cause of this increase. The pills were less effective than last time, but it was still taking. My harvest for the day was fine. I will sell this magical core because I don't have it.
I don't need any magic right now. I still don't know the use after all." Kenshin invoyed the magic core in his right hand.
It was a small white ball the size of a palm that shone slightly.
{The host has successfully sold the magic core. You receive 100 SP!}
"I should look at this store, I haven't seen it today and it would be a good time to see the prices. Store." A blue interface appeared in front of him with a list of 10 items.
-5 body pills: 500 SP
-1 regenerating potion that improves regeneration by 100% for 5 minutes: 1000SP
-C-rank armor set: 5,000 SP
....
The prices made his eyes widen slightly but he wasn't very shocked. He swept his eyes over the various items available. It was basic things that didn't interest him like clothes, weapons, or armor. He didn't find it very useful. But the rare article of the day and another article interested him slightly.
-Rank B skill: {King Presence}: 5000MP.
Effects: User screams in a 10-meter field and gives off a wild aura. This effect may improve depending on the host's level.
Intimidates and gives off fear to people weaker or at a similar level, they may also faint. Can stun stronger enemies in a short duration.
-A-rank skill: {Dragon's Roar}: 20,000 MP
Effects: The user gives a roar. Increases the user's physical attributes by 100% of the user for 5 minutes. Can only be used once a day.
"It's way too expensive for me...System, what are the skill levels based on and is it possible to create skills myself ?" Kenshin was annoyed with the prices and therefore preferred to ask the system.
{Answer: Skill levels range from D to SSS and the host was lucky to have 2 high level skills in the same day at the store. The skills are also doable by the host but you will not have any hints until you pass the skill. High level skills are very difficult to reproduce. Buying skills is more efficient because you will receive the execution of the technique directly in your memories and will therefore be flawless while a skill created by yourself may have flaws. The skill "Divine Vision" is an SS class skill for example.}
"Okay. The level A skill won't be for now but the B level skill may be achievable. Remember. Well, I guess I'm done for this day. I passed to have a second dagger even if it's only level D, that will be enough. I need to learn the use of magic as soon as possible. The hybrid form can be seen later."
He finally fell asleep on his bed.
The day after.
A 6'0 foot figure could be seen in the town alley.
It was Kenshin who woke up 1 hour ago jogging to keep in shape.
"I guess I'm done for the morning practice. I'm going to go search the store near my building for supplies even though I doubt there is anything. It's really chaotic after all. I wonder if there are still any survivors in this area of my city. My next destination will be Kyoto after doing my business here." (MC lives in a small town about 50 km from Kyoto.)
Kenshin watched the overturned cars and the roads marred with blood, there was even a fire. Houses were destroyed from the outside and completely devastated.
* Sighs * "I should explore this store." Kenshin had arrived about twenty meters from the shop, he had become vigilant by taking out his 2 daggers. His clothes were the same as yesterday, the blood had been cleaned automatically after entering the inventory. The system had told him it was a small gift.
The store was not very big, but neither was it small. Although the exterior of the building was chaotic like most, the interior appeared to be in good condition. Which surprised Kenshin and made him more vigilant because a place like this shouldn't be like this.
He opened the door slowly and then noticed no one inside. He was examining the counter and shelves containing food. The store was not looted during the apocalypse, it was something unexpected. The only thing that made Kenshin suspicious was the chair of the clerk who took care of the counter. The chair was on the floor with a few bloodstains on it.
'The employee who worked here should have taken things before he left but nothing...And on top of that, there are blood stains all over the floor now that I see. This can only be a trap !!' He quickly looked over him and then saw a 10 foot zombie staring at him with an evil grin while crouching on the ceiling.
The zombie leaps at him but Kenshin manages to dodge it by jumping forward.
'Divine Vision!' said Kenshin mentally.

Name: Tier 2 Mutated Zombie
Bloodline: Demonic Fox
STR: 77
AGI: 47
MP: 150
Appearance: 3 meter humanoid with fairly large green skin with fur all over his chest and arms. Pointed ears and slightly elongated nose.
Qualities: Smell, intelligent, fast and powerful.
Faults: Large, underestimates his enemies, likes to play with his prey longer before devouring them.
--------------
"I have done well to be wary and activate my senses to the maximum or I will be dead like everyone else who came here I guess. A level 2 mutated zombie...System, what is the ranking system for the zombies ?" Kenshin looked coldly at the zombie who smiled at him.
{Answer: The mutants are separated in rank. They range from 1 to 10. The monsters of rank 6 or higher can refine their bloodline and evolve to a higher level which allows them to awaken all the poteniel of their bloodline. They can also have a human form but they will not be the person themselves, but just a new consciousness. Monsters evolve by eating other magical cores, including humans, or by training.}
"He's just a level 2 and he's stronger than me ... But I'm going to pass them all in a little while, so you're my current target." Kenshin had a savage glint in his eyes as his canines widened slightly.
The zombie didn't back down from his statement but still has a slight oppression coming from him. Kenshin's progenitor dragon blood is naturally above the hierarchy and therefore influenced the lower creators.
The zombie roared and then jumped directly at Kenshin using magic on his feet. He charged his hands with magic and then wanted to rip his head off.
Kenshin blocked his fist with Kuroken but the impact created slight cracks in the ground. Putting a side kick to his stomach, he stepped back as the force of the monster exerted on him became dominant.
'I can't attack him from the front, his strength and the magic he used dominates me. I need to use my advantage with the dagger and be able to use magic like he did, on my weapon. I haven't tried until now because I didn't have to, but I need to get the magic flowing through the veins that connect to the core.' Kenshin was trying to circulate the magic by tapping into his core, but he failed to be able to use it.
The zombie didn't wait more than that and jumped straight from its location towards Kenshin. He used magic all over his arms this time around and swung his arms up high towards him to send 2 transparent white blades moving towards him with great speed.
'I don't have time to dodge, I have to take it.' He put his 2 arms in front of him to protect himself from the attack. But he didn't expect it to be so strong. He was hit by the 2 blades in each of his arms then was sent to waltz into the wall breaking 2 shelves during his theft.
The zombie had a sadistic smile on his face when he saw that the human in front of him was injured. He had eaten a lot of humans but this one was pretty tough.
Kenshin got up from the rubble, he had more or less deep wounds all over his body. His clothes had rips all over the place. He had blood flowing from his wounds, but his face was still calm. He wiped away the blood that was flowing from his mouth and then began to speak indifferently with his emotionless eyes.
"I see...It's been a while since I've been hurt like this since I became an assassin. But I've seen the way you used magic, so I just have to do the same to be able to use it too." He unleashed all of his magic causing a white aura mixed with blue around him.
"The magic has to be flowing freely and being stable in the body. I wanted to force my magic to flow all at once so this obviously didn't work. I should at least thank you for teaching me this. . You will die painlessly." He concentrated the magic in his feet and strengthened his dagger then disappeared from the zombie's sight.
The monster would start to peak in rage and then search for Kenshin all around him. But the next instant he felt pain in his neck and he felt his head fall to the ground.
He didn't have the words. The human in front of him had his head cut off after learning magic so quickly ? He was a monster...Even more than him. The monster stared into Kenshin's eyes which were freezing and ruthless.
"Don't underestimate an assassin and the power of a dragon, mortal." Kenshin smashed the zombie's head with magic under his foot and then scraps of flesh and blood all over it.
Kenshin returns to pretty much normal then he felt his body aching and fell to his knees clutching his hands.
"System, why is my body in such a bad state ?" Kenshin felt the pain run through his body.
{Answer: The host has unlocked another temporary percentage of his dragon blood. Your body was unable to handle it and so you had to endure the pain. You have pushed your body to your limits and therefore assimilate blood. You were temporarily controlled by your wild instincts.}
{Ding ! The host used magic for the first time and receives 2 level 2 mana cores as well as a C rank magic pill!}
"I'll see that later...I want to sleep." Kenshin passed out from the fatigue and pain in his body.
* 3 hours later *
A young man with sheer dark hair with shades of blue of six feet tall began to open his eyes as he looked at where he was standing.
"How long have I slept, system?" Kenshin asked.
{Response to host: About 3 hours and nothing has disturbed you.}
"I see. But how did my wounds heal so quickly? I had sores all over my body." He was surprised to see her new, scarred body even though his clothes were torn and bleeding.
{Answer: Even if your dragon blood is sealed, you still have pure blood and therefore your body has great regenerative properties.}
"Dragon's blood is really powerful I guess. I should also take a look at my stats and apply my points I've saved. System, show me my stats."

{Points have been added to LUCK successfully.}
"Good. This monster was really complicated...If I hadn't used magic and my speed, I would be dead. But if all Tier 2 mutants are like this, I should be okay now. Mutants Rank 1 and below is no longer a problem with me. Plus it gave me 100 XP. That's the equivalent of 100 zombies, it's very useful.
I will retrieve the zombie core and collect the supplies from this store. I'm lucky after all." Kenshin grabbed his dagger and went over the zombie corpse and then sliced open at chest level to retrieve the magical core.
Once he got it in his hands, he noticed that the nucleus was 2 times larger than that of a rank 1 mutant. The nucleus was green in color with blue spots inside.
"System, how much can I sell this for or how much magic it can get me by absorbing it?"
{Answer: The host can resell the kernel for 1000 SP. By absorbing this core, you will recover roughly half of the monster's culture. Which equates to 70 MP for this one. Those in your inventory are the same.}
"I am going to sell the 2 magic cores from the inventory and I will use this to improve my magic." Kenshin took out the other 2 magic cores and sold them.
For the remaining core, he got into a meditation position holding the ball in both hands. Although he didn't know the process of absorbing, he was naturally drawn to the core so he instinctively began to absorb it. The magic entered his body, passed through his veins and then landed in his core. The energy source mixed with its own magic and after a few minutes it finished its absorption.
"It was relaxing and satisfying. I feel my magic has become more abundant and more powerful. If I want to improve magic, I guess I have to practice the control and quality of magic. Well, I have to get the food now. There's everything on top of that, even chicken meat !" Kenshin loves meat. In his past life, he consumed a lot of it with soft drinks. He was not a person who drank alcohol, he drank more soda and coffee at night.
He looked at all the shelves to take only the necessary ones because he did not have an infinite place in his inventory.
"System, how many points does it take to increase inventory size?"
{Answer: You need 1000SP to upgrade to 4x4 cubic meters. The price will double each time you upgrade your dimension.}
"Ok. Twice the inventory up to 8x8. That will give me a lot more room to take it all..." Kenshin started to take the delicious food for himself. Even though he was in apocalypse, he didn't care about the rest. Other survivors will probably come here to look.
He had taken all the fruits and vegetables. He also ate breakfast food such as milk, butter, jam, etc. He didn't have to worry about food perishing thanks to his inventory. Continuing further into the store, he found the freezers containing all the meats. He obviously took everything without leaving a piece of it. There were also a lot of water bottles of various sizes that he took with drinks of all kinds. Heading out into the store's storage area, he found useful lids for himself, clothes, and other unnecessary things that he didn't take.
After taking the things he wanted from the store, he walked out and then went straight home, still with an indifferent look on his face.
He was wearing a black t-shirt with white shorts. His sneakers were also black. He had found all of this in an area of the store.
After entering his apartment, he settled on his bed and then began to look at his inventory.
"At least I'm not going to run out of food for months or even years while saving as much as possible. This magic pill that I got back has a similar function to the body pill I guess, it'll give me extra magic." He swallowed the pill and felt a warmth spread through his spiritual veins and his magical core.

"The C-rank magic pill gives 30 MP but it will be less effective in the future. It was an interesting morning, what should I do now? Staying in a small town like this is useless. The survivors had to walk away towards Kyoto or Osaka as they are the 2 closest big cities. There must already be a hierarchical system in these cities for people with the ability to use magic or not. Stronger people have everything and the weaker ones are abused, ignored, violated or even used. It's human nature after society is destroyed, everyone is selfish. I am selfish too after all. I will stay a little longer in this little town to gain strength and then I would go. There are still a lot of monsters to kill." Kenshin pulled out his weapons and then headed outside after doing his mental debriefing.
"By the way, is it possible for a person to have 2 different bloodlines?"
{Answer: Yes but this is very rare to awaken 2. This can be an advantage as well as a disadvantage. If one bloodline is stronger than the other, it is better to favor this one than the other because you will be weaker by using 2 bloodlines which are not of the same level. If the person succeeds in merging 2 bloodlines, they will have an even greater talent, even more than you but it depends on which bloodline it is. 2 weak bloodlines will still be useless against yours but 2 strong bloodlines can potentially be on the same level as you. Although you don't have 2 bloodlines, you still have dragon god blood. You cannot merge with other bloodlines other than a few of the same level as yours except they have no system.}
"Who are the others who have the same potential as me?"
{There is the Phoenix Progenitor Bloodline, Tiger Progenitor Bloodline, Sea God bloodline and others that are a little weaker than that. These are monsters that lived at the same time as the Dragon Progenitor. They were created at the same time and each have the same power to compete with each other. The beasts got killed in a war for power but they were self destroyed because of the immense power unleashed. This apocalypse is surely the time when all the sealed beasts were released into the bodies of living things. They have therefore become Bloodline but they have no conscience. Zombies are more controlled by their instincts but use the power of their bloodline.
After rank 6, these monsters evolve and gain consciousness like humans but they are not the monsters from before, just newly created souls.}
"Why did you tell me that now?" Kenshin asked with slight annoyance.
{You haven't asked for more details before.}
"Forget it. I'll take care of killing the zombies, it will be more important." Kenshin left calmly and then started looking for zombies to kill.
