On the battlefield: Clash between City Lords!!
After being scolded by the Commander, Jay went to bed peacefully this time. The next morning all Squad Leaders, Battalion Leaders and Army Leaders were gathered in an open area within the Monster Camp!
A giant 5 meter tall black lion stood in front of a squad wearing a shiny set of silver armor while looking straight ahead!
His ruby red irises glistened under the burning sun while his vertical slit pupils constricted greatly due to the brightness of it.
His squad looked at him with contempt thinking about how a cultivator at the same realm as them could even become a Squad Leader.
Sure they heard about his strength but who would believe that?
The only ones that looked at him differently were the ones who actually witnessed his clash against Dusk! They held deep admiration for him!
Jay was currently standing, waiting for direct orders from a stone-faced man in front of him. Even he was slightly surprised to see a different face in the lead here.
On the side of him was Dusk and his own Squad.
The stone-faced man swept his gaze across the entire fleet of monsters gathered. With a light nod he started explaining the current situation, "Our men stationed at the Elemental Border have been attacked sooner than anticipated!"
Hearing his words all the monsters besides Jay immediately broke out into an uproar!
"Those water snaking bastards!!"
"They must've planted spies into our own men!!"
"Yeah!! Otherwise, how could they so easily attack us?! I'd expect no less from those conniving bastards!!"
Everyone cursed at the Water Gate City's Army! Jay only kept a calm gaze while shaking his head at the helpless army of monsters.
The stoned-face man growled loudly before shouting, "Quiet down you fools!! Save that energy for when you clash against those bastards!"
"That's right, you should listen to Vice Leader Birsha and save that energy for the battlefield!" An old yet raspy voice suddenly sounded from behind Vice Leader Birsha!
He turned around and widened his eyes in shock before bowing his head deeply.
The owner of the voice was a middle aged Demi-Human with long fiery red hair, crimson red irises and had a pair of well rounded bear-like ears on top of his head!
Everyone was shocked to know that the stone-faced man in front of them was Vice Leader Birsha of the Monster Corps!
But their shock only grew as they glimpsed at the man he was bowing to! Could he be the leader of the Monster Corps?
"Greetings, City Lord!" Vice Leader Birsha greeted the middle aged man.
The Monster Army was shocked! He's the City Lord?! Although they were members of Steel-Fist City they couldn't say that they had the luxury of even seeing their City Lord!
They became slightly flustered but quickly regained their composure, following their Vice Leader's actions!
"Greetings, City Lord!!"
Everyone bowed deeply yet Jay only nodded.
He would be respectful to anyone he worked under but never would he bow. Only at his parents feet would he bow!
The City Lord noticed this, but he only smiled before sweeping his gaze over the army.
"Raise your heads warriors! I shall be joining you all on the battlefield!"
Everyone including Jay was shocked! Discussions broke out, constantly ringing out within the previously silent camp!
The City Lord is heading towards the battlefield? Such a powerful figure?
They couldn't help but feel a bad premonition arise in their hearts!
Jay was shocked as well! During his walk with Tora she would often mention the City Lord of the Steel-Fist City!
She held deep respect for him. She even told Jay that he was rumored to have stepped into the Spirit Realm and had long since attained a Demi-Human form!
Jay immediately activated his Eyes Of Chaos! He gazed at the City Lord deeply only to be shocked instead! He couldn't see anything!
No, it was rather like an intangible force was blocking his view of sight! He immediately injected his Soul Energy into his eyes but the result was the same.
But that didn't stop him! If he couldn't check his origin then he'd have to look through his clothes. Although weird, it is rather effective.
Why? Because every monster that reaches the Spirit Realm and attains a Demi-Human form has a symbol of their Monster Race formed on their arms!
This couldn't be faked since it is condensed out of a monster's blood! This was also a way to separate monsters from the hybrids, Demi-Humans!
He gazed at both his arms that were currently wrapped in bandages and saw a blood-red Monster Bear symbol on his right arm!
Jay nodded silently. This only meant one thing! This man was an expert at the Spirit Realm! Didn't that mean he had a Monster Core? He could even utilize Beast Mana!
The City Lord noticed Jay's gaze and looked at him before returning a light nod. The Vice Leader finally stepped out of his stupor!
He raised his head abruptly and immediately refuted the City Lord's words in concern!
"City Lord! You can't go to the battlefield! With the danger it poses I'm afraid you might-"
However the City Lord immediately cut him off with a stern tone, "Might what? My people are being killed and you want me to stay silent? Enough, drop this matter and prepare to head out!"
The City Lord released his aura and immediately everyone felt a powerful momentum burst out of his body!
A mountainous pressure instantly weighed down on their bodies! With a face drenched in cold sweat, Vice Leader Birsha could only nod and order the men to prepare!
He retracted his aura and nodded in satisfaction. Everyone received a Common rank Gear called a Space Storage Pouch.
It was quite similar to Tora's own. Soon, everyone finished storing Healing Potions, Mana Potions and other items to help aid in the clash against Water Gate City!
Though Jay didn't need the pouch or items he still used it so he wouldn't draw too much attention in this matter.
The Monster Army gathered at the entrance of the camp. The City Lord didn't even stay idle! He glanced at the Vice Leader and directly ordered
"Vice Leader Birsha! Send an Airline Messenger with a short note saying, "Reinforcements will arrive in an hour" understood?"
Taking a deep breath in, he nodded before releasing a loud whistle!
"Caw!!!"
A crow's cry sounded from above before quickly swooping down and retrieving the message the Vice Leader had written up.
"Let's go!" The City Lord shouted. The Monster Army gave a loud shout that made the surrounding mountains tremble and trees sway!
They marched straight ahead in a hurried manner, towards a region surrounded by mountains!
On the battlefield…
Clang!
Sparks flew as claws continued to clash!
ROARR!!
Roars that craved for blood shook the air as it made the world rumble!
Shing!!
Spurt!
Multiple different coloured liquids gushed out of the warring monsters, instantly dying the ground in colours of the rainbow!!
ROAR!!!
Suddenly a mighty roar bursted out at the center of the battlefield! Hearing the mighty roar, it's comrades all felt their battle intent soar as their killing intent thickened!!
Several squads of monsters rushed into the Steel-Fist City's side, slaughtering the several thousand monsters stationed at the border!
Their constant roars made the mountains that surrounded tremble and the space distort!
Their blood red eyes devoid of any sanity started striking fear into the Steel-Fist City's side!
"KILL!!!" A Giant Blue Bear bellowed out as he went on to rip out the spine of a Steel-Fist City monster before crushing it with his monstrous jaw!!
"ROARRRRR!!!!" The Water Gate City's Monster Army went into a state of madness!
Their bodies were dyed different colours of blood as they charged forward, mercilessly slaughtering the monsters of Steel-Fist City!
"Damn it!! When are reinforcements getting here?!" A Three Headed Red Python, wrapped in bronze coloured armor frustratingly roared out!
He constantly used his seemingly steel-like tail to parry the attacks of a Four-Armed Purple Great Ape!
"We just received a message from the Vice Leader!! They left not too long ago. They should be here in an hour!"
His comrade immediately replied while also defending against a giant Three Tailed Lioness!
"AN ENTIRE HOUR!? We'll be fucking wiped out by the time they get here!!!!"
"DAMN IT!! Corrosion!!" The Python's aura suddenly spiked as he bellowed out in a fit of fury!
His three heads all opened its mouths simultaneously before lashing out towards the Four-Armed Great Ape!!
The ape took the bite of all three heads with a sneer!
"No matter how many times you bite me it would- ARGH!!!"
He couldn't even finish as a toxic venom hurriedly rushed into his veins, slowly corroding his arms from the inside out!!!
"It wouldn't WHAT?!?" The snake mocked the ape, somewhat regretful yet satisfied with the outcome of his battle.
"IMPOSSI-"

BOOOOOOOM!!
His body convulsed in pain before exploding into a cloud of purple blood!
The Python fell to the ground, his pupils slowly dilapidated. In his final moment of death he glanced towards his comrade, "Xuro…please take care of my family..."
His comrade, a Minotauros Demi-Human had misty eyes as he fell into the welcoming arms of despair.
With gritted teeth he dug his fist into the chest of the Three Tailed Lioness before ripping its beating heart out.
He slowly began to devour it with tearful yet determined eyes!
On the Water Gate City's army side…
"Gahahaha!!!! Look at that pitiful Red Python! He sacrificed his useless life! Gahaahhah!!"
A man with fish like whiskers, gills at the side of his head and a Sea Snake symbol on his arm laughed madly as he felt pleasure in the misery and misfortune of Steel-Fist City's monsters.(Epicaricacy)
He sat on a floating chair that seemed to work as a device for travel. At the side of him were two humans.
They gazed scornfully at the monsters of both Water Gate City and the Steel-Fist City!
Yet, they laughed along with the Fish Like Demi-Human!
The man was about to take a long gulp of his rum when suddenly a heart wrenching scream that seemed to have originated from the burning pits of hell abruptly made his actions stop!
"AZAZEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

A monstrous aura exploded out of the newcomer's body as a giant army of monsters trailed behind!!
He charged into the battlefield with the aura engulfing his entire figure in a blood red light!
With a sword in hand he swung out with a horrifying golden coloured energy coating it!!

Mountains crumbled as a giant ravine that looked as though it was the entrance to hell formed!
A massive sword ray relentlessly sliced through the crumbling earth ripping apart all the Water Gate City's men it touched!!
The sitting Demi-Human, Azazel, felt a slight dread envelop his body!
"How the hell did they get here so quickly?!"
He didn't dwell on such thoughts for long though!
His body expanded and soon he had features similar to that of a Humanoid Sea Serpent!
With bulging veins on his body and crazed eyes that looked as though they had lost all sanity, he immediately flickered out of his chair!!
Swoosh!!
Bang!!
Crack!
He appeared in front of the oncoming sword ray and almost instantly the ground beneath him crumbled!
With hands coated in an eternal darkness of Metal Affinity along with Beast Mana he took a horse stance before sending a mighty fist smashing forward!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!
His fist instantly met with the sword ray! His skin tore and his body ached yet the sword ray couldn't even break through him!
The two humans shuddered at this sight! Concerned, they shouted in unison, "City Lord!!"
But City Lord Azazel just ignored their concerned cries!
Pulling his other fist all the way back to his lower abdomen he coated it with Beast Mana that had a tint of blue to it before loudly screaming out his technique's name!!
"ETHEREAL FIST OF THE SEA KING!!!!"
The battlefield went silent. His fist attack ever so slowly smashed toward the now stagnant sword ray!
The moment it connected a monstrous explosion rippled out instantly breaking the silence!!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!
Crack!
Cracks were hurriedly spread throughout the landscape as massive craters accompanied it!
The sword ray was obliterated, yet he didn't stop!!
Azazel gritted his jaw and once again his body grew! He was now 5 meters tall! His veins looked as though they would burst out of his body at any given moment!
"Sea King's B-Body…!!!!"
"Second Form!!!"
BOOOOM!!
His aura swept out like a mighty eruption from an ancient volcano! It swirled around his body before condensing into a giant Golden Sea Serpent!
It's eyes condescendingly gazed at the City Lord of Steel-Fist City!!
With a deep breath he shifted his feet and rotated his now clenched fist!!
The City Lord couldn't help but be shocked!
With a voice layered with dread he shouted, "Everyone!!! Disperse!!"
"TOO LATE PIOTUS!!!!!"
Swoosh!!
Azazel appeared before City Lord Piotus and instantly sent a fist coated in both Metal and Water Affinities smashing towards his head!!
"Damn it!!"
Piotus was sweating profusely at this moment! With no other choice remaining he swung his long sword at the incoming fist attack!!
Shing!!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
A massive crater formed underneath both warriors! A humongous wave of circular energy flew out from their one clash!!
Their internal organs convulsed in pain but they both hurriedly coated it with Beast Mana greatly relieving their pain!
They were both sent flying, staggering backwards but they quickly regained their balance and clashed again!
BOOM!!

In only a few seconds they had already exchanged over a hundred blows!!
The waves of energy continued to travel towards both Monster Armies! Their faces lost all colour as it went ashen pale!!
Jay ducked under the incoming waves of energy as he separated himself from the bunch!
"H-holy fuck!!! Those motherfuckers are like god tier bro!! You're telling me that all of this was caused by Beast Mana?!"
Jay's shock couldn't be hidden! His thirst for power only grew further after witnessing such a clash!
[Yes sir!]
Helix immediately answered his question. At this moment a mysterious jet-black energy started gathering inside of Jay's body!
In his Sea Of Consciousness the energy swirled around before condensing into a pitch black seed that released an icy aura!
[Congratulations sir for forming a second seed of the ||Grim Reaper's Intent||]
Jay laughed merrily within his heart! At this time he had already distanced himself by a good amount so the City Lords of both cities couldn't harm him with their fight!
The battlefield regained its sense of slaughter! Both sides charged against each other seeing their leaders clash head to head!!
"KILL!!!!"
"REINFORCEMENTS ARE HERE ADVANCE!!"
"KILL THOSE WATER BASTARDS!!"
The killing intent Jay absorbed increased!! He smiled ruthlessly as he gazed at the approaching enemies!!
"Huh? This motherfucker thinks it's a joke?"
"Let's kill him!! Let's see how much he smiles then!!"
ROARR!!!
The monsters that saw Jay's smile roared with a bubbling rage inside their hearts!
"Come give me experience AND affinity points!!!"
