Leaving Steel-Fist City

"Master!!"

Sven loyally bowed his head seeing his master in front of him but he noticed a pair of unfamiliar faces. However he instantly greeted them without much thought. 

"Greetings, Mistress and Young Miss!!"

Both Tora and Miku were startled at this sight. Although Jay told them about their master servant relationship they didn't expect him to address them as well.

Jay signaled for him to enter. Sven entered and immediately took a seat on the floor as Jay glimpsed at him expectantly with anticipation in his eyes. 

"Sven hurry up and tell me about my bro!" Miku and Tora also looked at Sven with a tint of anticipation. Jay had told Tora about his brother but for some reason she didn't even know who he was. 

Then he thought back to the time the soldiers called him by his name. They also didn't show any interest or eyes of knowing. This startled him quite a bit. He even thought that his brother wasn't as renowned as he thought.

Sven looked at his master and smilingly said, "Master, your brother was given the title Son Of Light after the people of the Noble City, the Zodiac City, witnessed his great battle against several Tainted Monster Tides! He utilized the light affinity in odd yet mystifying ways and endlessly killed them with his breathtaking attacks!!"

"His use of the light element was so amazing that people started calling him the Son Of Light. After that he started randomly appearing on different battlefields, fighting for which ever side he chosed! He endlessly used his light affinity and soon made his name resound within countless Noble Cities and some Royal ones as well!"

"One of my brothers who recently got accepted into a noble city's Monster Army had the honour of fighting side by side with him after he made an appearance on the battlefield!! My bro said that Master Amon only waved his paw when several bright rays of white light condensed and formed a giant white spear of light!"

"When he sent his paw slamming down it pierced towards the invading army of monsters and blew them to smithereens! He's like my idol!!!" 

As he wrapped up his story, Jay was mind blown. His brother had already performed such incredible feats? But before dwelling on that thought another invaded his mind. He looked at the fanboy Sven and asked, "You said something about Noble Cities and Royal Cities? What do you mean?"

Sven blinked a few times with a tilted head before asking in a doubtful voice, "Master you don't know the ranks of cities? No wonder you're behind your brother!! Haha!!" 

Jay released a bit of his killing intent at those words making Sven tremble and plead for forgiveness.

After a few minutes of shedding mercy-filled tears he continued, "Master, cities have three ranks within the Three Domains. Why? Because the Monarchs of the Three Domains have a 'Only I am the true ruler' complex. They won't allow kingdoms or empires so they made three ranks for the only type of power allowed below them, cities!"

"These ranks are: Common, Noble and Royal! Common being the lowest whereas Royal being the highest! The city that we're currently in is a Common rank city or a common city if you wish to call it that.."

After hearing his explanation Jay felt a cloud of mist which had enveloped his mind clear up. He now understood why people in the city didn't know of him other than him being their hero. It was because their city's rank was too low.

Since Josie appeared in a Noble City, his information was most likely kept to themselves and some Royal Cities.

But this made him rethink something. Doesn't that mean if he wished to truly gain a reputation he needed to gain acknowledgement from Noble and Royal cities?

Sven saw his expression and immediately knew what he was thinking about. He interjected saying, "Master needn't worry! I made sure to spread the information to many Noble Cities! It won't take long for the Royal Cities to hear of your deeds!" 

Jay smiled and nodded with a breath of relief escaping his mouth. Tora was just blown away while still thinking of the story of Josie while Miku was elated hearing her uncle's deeds though she didn't think that it was better than her dad's.

Tora thought one thing: "If even his brother is as monstrous as he is then what about his parents?!" 

After all was said, Jay decided to go out more and do the same thing his brother did but he was going to change it up a bit. However he still wanted to know why Josie moved around from army to army so constantly.

He turned towards Sven and asked once again.

Sven replied saying, "Master that is because of the tournament. If a person wishes to enter the tournament they can't be apart of any Monster Armies. I've heard a rumor from my brother that Master Amon had been recruited by a powerful Royal City and chosen as their representative for the tournament!"

Jay finally understood why his brother appeared on different battlefields instead of sticking to one. But Sven words also brought back a cloud of confusion. He asked with squinted eyes, "The hell is this tournament?!" Sven just smiled and went on to explain.

"The tournament is a tournament only Noble and Royal rank cities can participate in. They would have to select one representative and have them participate in a tournament held in the Autumn Flare City, a Royal City tasked with the mission of holding the tournament every six years."

"There are usually three winners of the tournament and they all receive three medallions each and are then sent to the Capital of the Three Domains! The use of the medallion is known by all those above common cities. The medallion is like a key which opens a place called the Sacred Sanctuary! It is the place where the previous Monarchs Of the Three Domains left their inheritances!"

His words brought a gleam of understanding in Jay's heart but still, he continued with his questions.

"But wait, when is this tournament?"

To this Sven easily replied, "There is still 5 years for the tournament so every Noble and Royal city is currently preparing and choosing a representative for their own city while others have already done so!"

"Hold up. If anyone who holds the medallions could access the inheritances, why the hell didn't the Monarchs try to get them for themselves?" Jay asked slightly doubtful.

Sven smiled with narrowed eyes before saying, "Master you think they haven't tried to do that before? The previous Monarchs tried to enter the Sacred Sanctuary with the medallions but were almost killed by it! After they reexamined the medallions once more they found out that the medallions all check the cultivation of the wielder.

If the wielder is already at the required realm of a Monarch of the Three Domains the medallion would activate the traps at the sanctuary if they attempted to enter! Basically the previous Monarchs left their inheritances to nurture the qualified youngins of their Three Domains!" 

"In the end they came up with the tournament in order to properly choose the inheritors of the inheritances."

"Oh! But wait can't they just steal it from the person who received it?" Jay once again felt slightly doubtful as his bro's life could be in the hands of one of the Monarchs.

Sven's eyes flashed with confidence as he said, "Master it is impossible since the inheritances gets engraved into their Seas Of Consciousness. The only way to get it from their Sea Of Consciousness is to reach the realm an Ancient Warlock is at!"

Jay breathed a breath in relief and said, "Thank god bruh! But yeah I wish them luck in that tournament! I've already made my decision that I'm not participating in that tournament since I don't need it!"

Sven raised his head in shock along with Tora and Miku as he hurriedly asked, "But master, how do you plan to raise your reputation?!" 

Jay sneered and asked in a nonchalant manner, "What does my title say?"

Sven's mind blanked for a minute before replying, "The Demon Of Destruction.."

Jay smiled and turned to Miku and asked, "Miku do you remember what I said when I created a name for our special eyes?"

Miku tilted her in head in a cute manner before exclaiming after a long thought, "Chaos!! Daddy and I are gonna bring Chaos to this world!!"

Tora and Sven were shocked hearing the little cub's words. Tora glared at Jay while secretly scolding him whereas Sven only had respect as he glanced at his Young Miss. Jay chuckled and turned back to Sven replying, "If I don't live up to my title then what is the point of it?"

Sven nodded excitedly as he understood what his master was implying. Jay stood up and went to the mattress while signaling to Tora and Miku to get on. He laid with a sleepy yet fierce look before saying, "Sven go get some rest, we're gonna be leaving Steel-Fist City tomorrow before soon entering the battlefield of many cities bahahah!!"

Sven shuddered feeling the bloodlust radiating from his master's laugh before quickly nodding while exiting the room, heading to get his own.

[The next day]

Yawn!!

Both Tora and Jay woke up while tiredly yawning. They quickly freshened up before waking Miku up as well. Sven already came over and greeted all three. Soon they all walked out of the Monster Inn with Sven obediently following behind.

Jay decided to visit the City Lord before leaving the city. After a good few minutes of walking they arrived at their destination. Without any hesitation he entered, passing the bowing guards straight.

"Yo old man!" He called out.

Hearing the familiar voice Piotus came out cloaked in his robe like the usual weirdo he was, greeting Jay and his group. He let them inside but Jay refused saying, "We aren't staying here for a long time, we're just passing by before leaving the city." 

Piotus was slightly shocked hearing this but quietly sighed. He knew that his lowly city couldn't contain a talent such as Jay. He nodded and said, "Well brat before you go take this." 

A bright light enveloped his hand before a red manual with the words 'Beast Art' on it appeared. He placed it on Jay's head before almost immediately the information within it flooded his mind. Jay's eyes widened in shock. Wasn't this the Beast Art Piotus used against Azazel?

His excitement soared! This was a rather strong technique and Jay actually liked the way it looked when used. In The midst of his excitement Piotus spoke, "Only use this Beast Art when you step into the Spirit Realm understood?" 

Jay nodded and asked, "Will I have to turn into a beast man like you did? Keeping my mane and claws with a humanoid figure?"

Piotus nodded and assured, "Yeah but only for the usage of the skill. The moment you deactivate this technique you'll go back to your normal Demi-Human form."

Jay sighed as he didn't want to look like that forever. He thanked Piotus and also told him to inform Dusk of his departure before leaving. 

He didn't wish for anyone in the city to know since it would be a drag for him to give his goodbyes to everyone so he sneakily left the city with Sven, Tora and Miku stealthily following behind.

He went along a certain direction with Sven as his guide. Along their journey they would occasionally stop to rest and recover their stamina while also going on hunts and training with Jay.

A few months passed and Jay and Tora seemed to be as close as ever now. Occasionally Miku would subconsciously call her mommy and it would make Tora feel like she was going to die from Miku's cuteness.

During the few months Tora had also managed to break through to the Sky Realm and even advance to the 3rd rank due to Jay buying her high grade cultivation pills. Miku on the other hand broke through to the 4th rank of the Sky Realm whereas Sven broke through to the first rank of the Cloud Realm.

His respect and worship for his master was now beyond the heavens at this point. Sven treated Miku like the daughter of a majestic king while Miku would only grow to the role of a princess and treat Sven like the servant she took him for.

Miku's actions were honestly so cute and funny to Tora that even she would treat her like a princess. Jay felt warm inside seeing the happy Tora.

[Three days later]

"We're here master! If we cross this river we'll reach the outskirts of the Noble City, Aurora City!"

Jay nodded to his words but had different thoughts as he said, "We're not entering the city yet. Let's wait until their war with Astral City begins and mid way through we'll enter and destroy both sides!!!"

His eyes flashed with ruthlessness as his smile grew with excitement. Tora and Sven shivered at his ruthlessness while Miku began cheering.

"Yay!! We get to bring chaos!!" Tora gave a murderous glare to Jay who started sweating coldly before he exclaimed, "Miku! Only I and your mother will head onto the battlefield, okay? We'll leave you with Sven." 

Miku pouted before shouting, "No! I wanna beat up the bad guys!!"

Tora who was blushing hearing Jay refer to her as the mother of his child suddenly snapped back to reality and glimpsed at Jay with a murderous gaze once again before looking towards Miku warmly.

"Miku, if you stay with Sven and be a good girl mommy will buy some candy on our way back okay?"

Miku instantly lit up as she nodded with a 'Mn!'

Jay smiled before turning back to Sven. He asked, "When will the war start?"

Sven's brow scrunched as he sunk into deep thought. He raised his head again and said, "I heard about it from some civilians. Astral city is planning to end their scuffle with Aurora City in three days."

Jay nodded and had Sven guide them to a nearby cave in the forest.

"Alright we'll settle down here and await the upcoming war!!!"
