"Mr. Andrew, what's wrong with Mr. Darren? Why is he like a hungry lion today?" A secretary sneaks up on Andrew to pick up the latest gossip, which she will share with her group of friends on the green app everyone has.
"I don't know and I don't want to know. If you're curious, just ask him yourself." Without looking at his interlocutor, Andrew continued to type the report that must be submitted to Darren before he too had a turn of tantrums from the boss which was especially confusing today.
The woman who tried to pry into the gossip could only sneer to get a clear answer from the man who had never been seen holding hands with any woman. After the woman died, Andrew exhaled roughly. It seemed he knew why his boss had become a lion today. He didn't see Calista in his secretary's chair. Could they have had a big fight last night? Andrew tilted his chin trying to guess what was going on.
"Andrew, my room now." The male secretary heard an answer from the phone he picked up.
"Yes sir, what should I do?" Andrew stood in front of the president's desk whose owner was looking at the street below from the window on the highest floor of the building.
"I will be out of town for a week, leaving this afternoon. If anyone still needs my autograph, submit it now until 3 pm or wait for me when I get home from there." Darren said. Andrew gaped in confusion. According to him, there are no appointments with business partners outside the city. Then why is this boss leaving?" Andrew thought.
"If I may know, where are you going, sir?" Andrew couldn't contain his curiosity. Because after all, if there is a question from a business partner, he must give the truthful answer rather than being accused of lying.
"Hah, I want to follow Calista to Bali, she was brought by my mom without my permission." Darren let out a shaky breath. Unexpectedly he got to the point where he had to beg the presence of a wife to be near him every day. Since getting married, he has gotten used to the presence of Calista by his side. So, he doesn't want to be alone tonight just hugging a bolster.
"Oh, all right, sir." Andrew smiled secretly. Worried his boss saw he could be demoted to the office boy.
"Hurry up and do it now. I'll be home before I leave."
"Ready Sir. I'll do it now."
Andrew walked out of the room with long, fast steps. He didn't want to waste any more time because there were actually a lot of documents that had to be signed by the president for the next few days.
"I will follow you Calista. Don't expect you to have fun without me. Hey." Darren looked at the photo of Calista wearing a bikini sent by his mother.
"Darren, I…"
"Huaaa…" Darren dropped his phone as Lewis suddenly came without knocking on the door first.
"Your cell phone," Lewis wanted to help Darren retrieve his cell phone which was thrown quite far because Darren was surprised by Lewis's sudden arrival.
"DO NOT! Let me take it." Lewis didn't take Darren's cell phone, which was only inches away.
"Fyuhh, fortunately, the position of the fall is reversed. If he looked up, he can see my wife's body in a bikini." Darren said to himself.
"Why is it? Is there porn? Hahaha, since when did you catch Jack?" Lewis chose to turn around and sit on the sofa.
"No way! Jack and I will never be the same. What are you doing here?" Darren took his cell phone which was lying on the floor grumbling and immediately put it in his pants pocket.
"I have some important news," Lewis said.
"What news? And I hope it's so important that it makes me procrastinate on my work." Darren sat back in his chair while opening his laptop to type an important email.
"Huh, I'm going to Bali tomorrow to meet a client. Maybe we'll meet again in 2-3 days." Lewis answered.
"Bali? Which client?"
"Our important client is to open a hypermart branch in an unused old building. The location is strategic with tourist attractions so I am optimistic about success there in the future." Lewis replied, the man with cold hands as cold as his face and speech to people. But, if they are together with Jack and Darren, then the true nature of each will come out.
"Up to you. If you need anything, just ask Andrew." Darren answered lazily. Hopefully, they will not meet in Bali later, Darren thought.
"Where is your other secretary? I do not see it."
"I put him out of town for a week." Darren was silent for a moment worried that their trick was caught.
"What? Just came in yesterday already on duty out of town? Are you sure you're leaving the job to an amateur like him? By the way. He's alone right?" Lewis asked.
"Yes. Come on, I know what I'm doing. I'm busy right now. If there's nothing else, get out of my room!" This time Darren looked at Lewis sharply. The one who was stared at shook his head got a frontal expulsion.
"Okay, I'm out now. I'll meet Andrew upfront. Bye bro!" Lewis patted his thighs before rising from his seat. Because his presence was no longer expected, he immediately left the room.
"Hahhhh, what the heck!" Darren mumbled.
Darren continued his work. Many documents need to be signed immediately. He didn't want his leaving to interfere with his work.
"Andrew, I want to meet Darren! You have no right to stop me!" after Lewis left, now comes Britney. It seems today Darren really can't calm down through the day.
"Sorry Miss Britney, Mr. Darren can't be bothered." Andrew's voice was heard outside which prevented Britney from entering despite the woman's insistence. Darren didn't care because he had a lot of work to do before 3 pm.
After a while, there was no more noise outside. Darren was calmer now.
Drrt… drrt…
The incoming call from Britney was only seen for a moment but was ignored by Darren. He remembered the more threatening tone of his mother's words yesterday. The tone of the incoming call repeatedly without getting bored, was replaced by the tone of an incoming written message.
"Darren, are you busy? I want to meet you. I miss you." wrote Britney.
A blue tick appeared sent to Britney and the woman immediately called back. Darren picked up the phone to clarify something to Britney.
"Darren, ahhh you finally picked up my phone. Where are you? You are okay, right?" Britney spoke more like screaming out of breath.
"Britney, this is the last time I'll say one more time. Our relationship is over. Please do not bother me anymore. We live our own lives. I'm sure you're an intelligent woman who can understand my words well." Darren answered.
"No Darren, please don't say that. We can start over from 0. As long as you have me in your heart, I'm sure we can make it even better. Anyway, my husband and I are in the process of divorcing and we haven't been in touch for a long time. Darren, I love you. I know you love me too much." Britney's sobs were heard on the other end of the phone.
