I, System

I woke up from my sleep and found that I have a host. Due to some unknown reasons I wasen't able to recall my past memories, memories about myself. I was very happy when I found that my host has a pseudo-system. I had thought to assimilate with the pseudo-system so I can provide a better system to the host.

But when I made contact with it, I found that it holds a killing intent towards the host.

When I found about it, I felt an weird feeling. The feeling tried to take control over me. It was anger.

Kill it. Save the host. Kill it. Save the host.

The thoughts continued to repeat. The feeling of anger was so strong that I felt another feeling. Fear. I felt fear towards the feeling of anger that was controlling me. But my host's life would be in danger because of the pseudo-system. So I killed it immediately.

When I killed the pseudo-system system I felt happy. My host's life will no longer be in danger due to the pseudo-system. When I talked with my host, I felt unimaginable happiness. I wanted to protect him. I wanted to make him stronger. I felt joy in being able to serve my host. I wanted to help the host fulfill whatever things he wanted. At that time I found my reason to be alive.

"...so you all should practice as much as you can, as it will help you to awaken your potential--" While the class was underway, the door suddenly opened and a teacher walked in.

"I am sorry Mr. Henry, but I have an announcement to make."

"It's ok Mr. Carl."

"Students, after this lecture ends you are all are required to go to the training block. Don't be late. It is clear?"

As soon as the teacher said these words many of the students trembled and their faces turned pale.

Seeing their reactions, the teachers immediately understood the reason and hurriedly said.

"No need to worry. I don't think something like before will happen as all other classes are also been told to come. I think there must be some important announcement so don't be afraid. Also Mr. Henry can you please take them to the training block after the lecture."

"Ok." After this the teacher left while leaving students in fear and confusion. When the lecture ended Mr. Henry led them to the training block which was very clean. Students of other classes were also coming. Arthur had asked Austin about why there were so many orphans here. Austin told him that as Ozalis kingdom was having a lot caustlties due to the fights with other kingdoms and some other reasons, to maintain the size of the army many people were asked to join the army again even when they did the mandatory services. Also Evernight Elementalist School was the only orphan school in the surrounding region. So orphans from other cities are also sent here.

Soon all the the students gathered. At that time the primcipal came and began speaking. In conclusion he told the students that the 3rd princesses and 6th prince are coming to meet the students of class 3-c and d, instead of the people from hunter's association in two days. So he wanted complete discipline on that day. After giving them a warning he made them go except class 3-c and d.

"The prince and princesses are coming specially to meet you guys. I hope you that you guys will be punctual amd won't try to do something funny. Now go."

When Arthur was going back to the classroom along with his classmates he received a message from Austin, telling him that a storage artifact containing skill books has been placed in his bag. Arthur put the artifact in the inventory and wished for the lectures to end as soon as possible.

Back in the dorm Arthur took the skill books from the storage artifact and checked them.

Thunder ray, thunder ball, switch, transfer. These were the skills. As Arthur picked up the thunder ray skill book, lines in blue appeared in front of him.

Thunder Ray: Shoots an exremely fast ray of lightning which pierces the enemy and also paralyses them.

This feature of the system is very good. It saves the trouble for me to ask Austin. While thinking this Arthur picked the next book.

Thunder Ball: Shoot a ball made of destructive lightning at the enemy whose explosion will cover a large area, injuring the enemies in it and paralysing them.

Switch: The user is able to switch positions with others in a certain area.

Transfer: Transfers a part of the attacks to other location.

They skills were good. But Arthur had a skill in his mind which hw wanted to ask Austin if could give him instead of transfer. It was teleportation. The skills switch and teleportation would make a good combination.

For elementalists, everytime they reach a new rank they will get one innate skill for each element. And they are also able to learn two new skills through the skill books. So that means Arthur could only learn new skills after he reached E-rank.

The skills books don't have any ranks. Their power depends on the elementalist's rank. Like if a F-rank elementalist uses fireball skill, the fireball's size will only be the size of a soccer ball. But if a S-rank elementalist uses the same skill, the fireball's size will be as big as an airplane.

When Arthur asked about the teleportation skill, Austin told him

"The skills I gave you are already the best which I can find right now. If you want better skills they you will have to wait for atleast two weeks. As for skills like teleporatation they are very rare and are only found in above D-rank dungeons or special dungeons. The royal treasury should have the skill but I can't get it without a proper reason. If you can wait, I can ask from the Omeryn kingdom but it will probably take more than two months."
