One of the demonic silver wolves pounced on Arthur from behind, wanting to rip this hateful creature to death who killed its brothers.

Arthur sensed something and looked behind. A wolf appeared in his vision, pouncing on him, its mouth wide open, fangs shining.

A thin blade passed through the neck of the wolf. Its head separated from the body. While its head fell, the remaining body continued towards Arthur due to momentum.

Even though he still wasen't able to use the Spatial Blade skill properly, he wasen't far from it. Even if the blade still exploded after covering some distance it was more than enough for now.

Arthur used Switch and he changed his position with a wolf, which was looking around, confused how it came here. It looked up and the headless body of its brother but before the it could dodge, a spear penetrated it, killing the wolf.

After some time passed, the eyes of the wolves shined and their size began to increase and their fur turned to silver. Their speed also increased. Previously Arthur was able to maintain some distance between them due to the Switch skill but now due to the wolves' increased speed some were able to catch up to him.

One of the wolves clawed at Arthur. Activating Transfer, Arthur punched towards it, and broke its claws. He grabbed the wolf and punched on its head and it didn't get up. Activating Switch, he dogded the attacks of the other demonic wolves coming at him.

Even though his strength was higher than the monsters, he was only fightning by himself, so to save his strength he wanted to avoid head-on fight as much as he could.

After some time Arthur heard a voice.

"Trial has ended"

He fell on the around, panting. There area around him was filled with the corpses of the demonic wolves, some were charred and some had their bodies cleanly cut off, while others had their bodies crushed. This scene didn't disturbed him much. He had seen much worse when the cosmic entities killed humans. That was truly a brutal massacre.

Sometimes Arthur wondered what was the reason for the cosmic entities to hate humans so much. The cosmic entities had said that if they wanted to blame someone then they should blame themselves for being born as a human.

Arthur put those thoughts away, he didn't want to think much about them. They have already happened and he also didn't pity humans much.

"The fight with the wolves have exhaused me a lot. Even though they weren't able to hurt me, the fatigue is too much. The next floor will be more difficult. I should try to get a movement type skill."

While Arthur was thinking, the surroundings changed and he found himself out of the tower. As he was looking above while resting, he unconsciously looked at the top of tower.

He immediately closed his eyes. But even after some time, he didn't had that weird feeling. He also didn't felt the urge to kill himself. He thought that maybe it has some connection to the voice, which he had heard when he entered the tower...

Arthur appeared infront of the cube and watched as it began to open itself. The sight of the orbs greeted him again.

Previously he didn't know much about what the orbs had to offer. But this time due to the system he was able to know about what the orbs could do.

If he used the orb of energy now, he will get a new element. But the element's potential would need to be awakened. For that he will need to train just like how the previous owner did and it will take him nearly a year. But the potential's rank could be anything. In other words it was same as using an elemental book.

He could awaken the potential through the orb of energy and could also raise the potential to S-rank but he will need to clear the next floor in the tower to get another chance to use the cube. In simple worlds, he will need to use the orb two times to get an element with S-rank potential.

"But to use this method to get an element is simply a waste. I could use an elemental book to get another element and through the orb I could simply raise its potential to S-rank."

"But elemental books are rare. I wonder if I will be able to obtain one. Also it is not like the incidents of G class dungeon being mutating like that one are common."

From Austin, Arthur got to know that the G-rank dungeon the previous owner had gone to had actually mutated. Sometimes a dungeon mutates and the rewards one gets from it increases a lot. In most cases the rewards these dungeons offeres are actually much more higher in class than the dungeon itself even after its mutation.

For example if a F class dungeon mutates and becomes a D class dungeon, the rewards in it will be of same value as that of a C class dungeon.

But the boss monster in those dungeons also becomes abnormal. In most cases its strength increases by some ranks and its intelligence also increases. Its abilities also becomes abnormal. But this types of mutation in dungeons are very rare.

There are two types of mutations of dungeon. In one type the strength of all the monsters increases but the rewards don't increase, but the increase in monsters' rank is fixed. Their strength increases by one or two ranks but it never goes above two. In the other one, only the boss monster's rank increases but it is not fixed and the rewards increases exponentially.

Before someone is allowed to go in a dungeon, its class is determined by using some tools which check the energy waves released by the dungeon.

The dungeon the previous owner had gone to was actually a G class. But after mutating it became a D class dungeon. After the 5th prince found about it, he stopped the people who came to check dungeon's class from telling about it to other hunter's association. Even the higher ups didn't knew about it.

As it had became a D class dungeon now, so only E and above rank hunters could kill the boss, with the E-rank hunters need to be equipped with D-rank artifacts with high attack power.

Anybody below E-rank would die even if they are given artifacts as F-rank hunters could only use common F class artifacts. A F-rank hunter would never be able to use E class artifact unless that artifact is special and these special artifacts are rare and can only be used once.

Veric also couldn't send hunters of rank higher than F as the hunters had to first inform the hunter's association before they are allowed the clearance to the dungeon. In that case the informed people will get suspicious seeing E-rank hunters going in G class dungeon as they didn't knew that tge dungeon had mutated.

As the kingdom is in a war, it keeps a close eye on the dungeon. It won't tolerate if it was found that someone had provided a false information about a dungeon. The people who did this will be executed. Some examples have already been made. So even if Veric tried to buy them, he won't be fully successful, as someone in fear of death will inform the higher ups who will inform the army about it which works directly under the king and Veric didn't want the king to know about it for now.

So Veric chose another method- Through magic schools. The magic schools are allowed to go in dungeons to train their students. This way Veric wouldn't need send hunters who need to inform the association first and risk about the higher ups knowing about it, he could send his men disguised as teachers who will do the work for him.

He didn't cared for the life of students. For him they were servats, nothing more. Due to the king not wanting for his children to found about the kingdom's crises, Veric didn't know how much his father put importance on these students.

It was not like the people who worked under Veric him didn't told him about this. It was just that this matter was only known by the people of higher ranks and the people under Veric have ranks below D so they didn't knew about it. Also it was not just him, it was the same for other prince and princesses, none of them have someone under them who has rank above E, as the people who have rank higher than E-rank are mostly recruited into the army, even if they wanted to join or not.
