Chapter 44

Ashborn Leywin, who at the moment was thinking about the most unanswerable question he had, laid in his bed.

'Why do I even sleep?' He pondered, putting a hand on his chin.

He didn't need sleep even though he was still in a human body. This wasn't all, whenever he was supposed to get up from his bed, he for some reason was lazy for it.

'Why do I wait for Ellie to wake me up? What's even the point in that?' Even more, questions flooded Ashborn's mind.

"Brother, wake up!" Ash heard the voice of Ellie, who was shouting outside of his bedroom.

'Good, now... what's the point in going down there for breakfa-?' He didn't let his thoughts finish as he slapped himself. The sound of a hand smashing on flesh revibratted in the whole room so it didn't take long for Ellie to get in the room quickly.

"Brother, are you alright, why are you covering your cheek?" Ellie tilted her head, almost as if begging for answers in a cute manner.

"I slapped myself out from the useless thoughts." Ashborn truthfully answered his sister.

Ellie didn't buy that. Knowing that he would not say anything to her directly, she decided to withdraw everything, herself indirectly.

"Brother~ Don't tell me you are hiding something from me? Oh, maybe you are hiding a woman's kiss there~." Ellie grinned madly, only receiving a dumbfounded look on Ashborn.

"No...?" Ashborn removed a hand from cheeks revealing it. There was indeed a red-colored form on it, but instead of having the shape of a woman's lips, they had the shape of Ashborn's palm.

"I was just teasing." Ellie deadpanned, his brother was indeed a dense idiot when it comes to 'normal' communication with others.

"Okay, get out I'm going to change."

After getting dressed, Ashborn left the room and descended into the dining room. Here he met Vincent and Tabitha, naturally, his parents and Ellie were also here. They settled down and began to eat shortly after the arrival of Ashborn.

"Interestingly enough, what does Art do at Xyrus?" asked Vincent after swallowing a cup of water.

"He should be on some boring lessons." Aforesaid Ellie, who couldn't find a comprehensive reason why Arthur even liked to attend them.

"I heard about an incident at the academy, Vincent, maybe you know what happened?" Reynolds questioned, stirring up the anxiety of the women in the room.

"Oh yes, they've identified a... spy from some other continent. Bear in mind that this information should not leave this room, or you may get in trouble." Vincent answered, shocking everyone other than Ashborn.

Mothers covered their mouths in shock and started thinking about bringing their children back home. Meanwhile, Reynolds was staring at his son, knowing that Ashborn had more information about council affairs than Vincent.

"That's why I had the wrong feeling yesterday..." Alice whispered. Her words intrigued Ashborn because he was super interested in how motherly intuition actually functioned.

This was the moment when something snapped in Ashborn's mind. He nearly misplaced his calmness and stood up from his seat loudly.

"Please excuse me, I'm finished. Thank you for the meal." He rapidly got out of the room, puzzling others.

.

At the same time when Leywins were having breakfast with Helsteas, Arthur Leywin, who was attending the Xyrus Academy, was taking a stroll in his special training room after an intense routine he set for himself.

The dreadful information that he learned from Ashborn wasn't something to be taken lightly. Pushing himself through the limits and achieving new heights was something he had to do, especially after witnessing how powerful the Lances are.

"It's time to wrap it up." Said Arthur and put his belongings into a storage ring.

But a feeling of anxiety hunted down Arthur, as it had been for a long time. The feeling of somebody observing him all the time never vanished even when he was in the student residence, especially after receiving a badge from his brother.

Arthur shook his head, he had more important things to do now. One of them being new classes. So he decided to leave the training room to prepare for lessons. He approached a big enhanced door, but when he tried to open it, he realized he couldn't.

"Did someone shut it from the outside?" Wondered Arthur. His question was soon answered by the emergence of a new individual.

"Arthur Leywin, I courteously require you to follow me without resistance. I will explain it all on the way." Arthur now could see the person. Light-haired with bizarre eyes (Yeah rinnegan ripoff guy ha-ha.)

"Who are you?!" Demanded Arthur, taking out his sword from the storage ring and directing it at the individual.

"By my friends and brethren, I go by Windsom. To lessers such as yourself, we are what you have deemed deities." Man Introduced himself, although also insulting Arthur by calling Lesser, luckily Arthur overlooked the person's remark.

"What do you want?" Once again Arthur demanded for answers, but the same individual unleashed his pressure, nearly pinning Arthur to the ground.

"I have no time to answer all your questions here. We don't have much time, so we should leave immediately." Said Windson, not intending to reveal information to Arthur anytime soon.

"Lady Sylvia's daughter is already here. Now the only thing left is you." Windsom revealed Sylvie, who was peacefully sleeping inside his coat.

"Sylvie!" Exclaimed Arthur, despite all the pressure he stood up his sword in hand ready to strike any second.

"I mean no harm to her, I rudely kidnapped her because we should hurry, your protection unit might get back soon." Said Windsom while glancing at Arthur's shadow, which was currently empty.

Arthur was in a tough predicament. He evaluated the situation, Sylvie was in a person's hand, also evidently the individual was stronger than him judging by previously unleashed pressure. What could he possibly do in this situation?

"How can I trust you?" Questioned Arthur.

"*Sigh* I don't have time for this..." Windsom swiftly appeared in front of Arthur, just when he was about to press his hand on Arthur's forehead, he sensed danger.

He looked up from where he perceived it, the ceiling was still intact, but cracks soon started emerging on part of it. Eventually, it will fall down, so he had to move away from there, taking Arthur and Sylvie with him. However, someone didn't let him touch Arthur as something or someone fell down from the ceiling.

Windson jumped back, still having Sylvie with him. He took a protective stance, eyeing dust that covered most of the training room. He expected Arthur to be safe though, for a time being he observed, he knew that Arthur wasn't someone to die so easily.

To say it easier, Windsom was still calm. It was at that moment when his calm facade fractured and he showed an inkling of fear just for a split second after noticing a figure in the dust, an image of thousands of the black monsters appeared in his mind.

"Arthur, what's the situation?" Windsom heard a voice identical to Arthur's.

"He has Sylvie." Quickly responded Arthur, who emerged from rumbles.

The one who broke into the room was Ashborn, who forgot to assign his shadows to Arthur. Fortunately, he was fast enough to arrive here in time and fix the situation.

"It seems that an unforeseen issue occurred." Windsom voiced, gaining the attention of Arthur and Ashborn.

"Hand over Sylvie." The commanding voice of Ashborn made Windsom flinch, he realized who exactly appeared.

"Maybe we can talk this out?" Asked Windsom, his voice carried malice. He quite hated to ask Lesser for something.

"After an attempt to kidnap my family?" Ashborn promptly voted down, without squandering time he dashed at Windsom.

Ashborn wasn't planning to attack, he intended to retrieve Sylvie first. Windsom put his hand before Sylvie, blocking Ashborn from reaching her. Ash stopped before he touched Windsom and stood in front of him.

'He is fast.' This was what both of them thought.

But this was just the beginning, Ashborn was greatly limited with his undeveloped human body, his greatest advantage wasn't speed anyway.

Windsom's previous tense expression switched back to calm, after witnessing his opponent's speed. He reassured himself that this was his limit.

'He is also a dragon...' Noted Ashborn, but still, familiarity between Sylvie and that person doesn't mean he won't retrieve her.

'W-What is this feeling?' Thought Windsom viewing how Ashborn observed him, despite the fact that his body was higher than Ashborn's he felt looked down.

"Hand over Sylvie." Ashborn again commanded, this time letting out his own pressure.

Windsom's eyes widened in shock, sweat poured down from his forehead. He couldn't see this coming, thousands of purple glowing eyes were locked down onto him with the intent to kill.

"Unfortunately, I'm not allowed to."

"Hard way it is then..." Muttered Ashborn.

Windsom unexpectedly for him, received a punch in the face, which sent him far away in the training room.

"Beru." Ashborn called out for an unidentified for Windsom person.

"Understood, my liege." Voice responded and a shadowy figure flew out from Ashborn's shadow with blur and appeared right on Windsom who was still in midair.

Windsom was fast enough to notice this and again tried to block Beru's incoming attack, the humanoid ant seriously planned on cutting through the Asura. Shockingly, This was only a distraction and with swift, Beru cut clothing that sheltered Sylvie.

[Ruler's Authority]

Ashborn, with Psychokinetic technique of his, captured Sylvie in his authority and pulled her towards him. With this, Sylvie was now safe and Ashborn could go all out if required.

"Arthur, take away your bond." All this time ignored, Arthur was finally mentioned. Sylvie floated to Arthur who gently took her.

"Should I inform anyone?" Arthur queried with noticeable concern on his face.

"Yes, inform everyone that the academy might go down." Ashborn received a nod from Arthur.

'Now, let's take care of this dragon.' Thought Ashborn and looked back at Windsom.

'This Lesser is going to be a problem in the future. Should I try taking care of it now? but what about Lady Sylvia's child?' Meantime Windsom had practically identical thoughts as Ashborn.

"Forgive me, my lord." Said Windsom, as he stood up, ignoring all the damage he received. Afterwards the strange light covered Windsom and he started altering into a majestic dragon, standing nearly touching the ceiling with a draconic head.

"So you decided to reveal your true self and intend to fight with full force...
