Tick tock. Tick tock

Pearl kept moving her chair, in short strained movements till she reached the window where there was a shard of glass on the pane.

The bomb tied to her stomach was slowly ticking. 'Tick tock tick tick tick tock.....

She knew the bomb didn't have a fixed time. But she knew that someone was in control of the deadly weapon around her tummy. So she had to act fast before Adrian changes his mind and just decides to kill her instantly.

Moving while tied to a chair was excruciatingly painful but she was determined to free herself.

When she reached the window. She realized her hand was tied and so were her feet. The only thing she could use now was her mouth but that was really going to be difficult.

She leaned forward and grabbed the edge of the glass with her mouth. She felt the sides of the glass pierce the corners of her mouth. But the pain was worth it as she lowered her neck, raising her head up and down as she slowly slashed the glass piece against the thick ropes about her. The ropes were so thick that after several minutes she only made a small tear through the ropes. The sides of her mouth were already bleeding staining the glass. This made it difficult for her mouth to hold on to the glass. But nevertheless she kept on tearing through the ropes.

Tick tick tick tock.......

She cut through the first rope in no time and started on the second. Her stiff arms had begone to loosen up a bit. As she kept cutting, her mind went back to when Adrian said that her Dad wasn't willing to tell him the location of the will. What was so important in that will that her father was willing to die for it. Well whatever the reason was, she didn't care. She had to get the will before any other person will.
