Chapter Three : The Witch x The Hunt

Ethane had finally made his way back outside towards his house after the meeting. His mind uneasy and now full of regret because of his lack, of finishing the mission. He had found himself walking upon a slumber Luna. Sleeping, Her pale white snow skin, normally basking with such glow was now a dull grayish ashen color. Confused, he quickly rushed towards her.

Unable to see anything around her. Luna, whispered "Ethane is that you?" Her voice a bit shaky as he held her cold slumped over body. Ethane nodded he spoke in a panicky tone. "Luna, you're okay? What's wrong?" Thinking he might have to ask the elders of the planet to come take a look at her. Luna, quickly detest to that shared thought of his. Straitening herself up, she tried to push herself up from Ethane's grips as he forced her back into his arms.

Holding her tightly he spoke "Just where do you think you're going young lady? Luna, you need to see a doctor. I can go get one for you." Shaking her head, he noticed tears started to spill from her eyelids as he realized whatever this was, Ethane knew he had no right to make decisions about it. Telling her if she's not going to get any help then he wants her going straight to bed instead. Agreeing, to the ideal they carefully stood back up. Carrying her inside his arms.

Ethane carefully walked inside the house. Pulling the thick patchwork quilt backwards off the shared bedroom, Luna shares with Nero. He laid her within the giant soft white bed. Luna sliding underneath the quilt. Covering her whole body. Ethane whispered. Get some rest Luna." Nodding slightly, underneath the quilt.

Luna fell off into a deep sleep. Floating inside her dreams Luna recalled a forgotten past. Once again she was floating along the streams of time, essence and the beginning of the universe. Mysterious women in nunnery clothing plagued her mind as she begged for them to stop. Each one chanting and bowing Luna, whimper as she begged on. The women whose faces a blurred kept on chanting and bowing when a deep male voice faintly called out her name.

"Luna dear, why aren't you getting ready? The festival of maidens has started. This is a momentous occasion for us all. Today is the day you gets to DIE." Screaming from her sleep, Luna sent out sharp telepathic strike throughout Ethane's body. Jumping up, he and his family ran to Nero's room as the cat girl was now frowning and hissing, at Luna.

"Hey, Nero! That's enough Bad kitty! Back away. Can't you see she's had a really bad nightmare?" Ethane asked her. His familiar not hearing him. She kept pacing back and forth at the girl as her eyes glowed. Ethane who couldn't believe his eyes. Ethane couldn't believe standing before him and his family, was the once bubbly catnip loving cat girl. Baring her fangs she spoke threw clenched fangs. "I do not have time for foolish games… Ethane. Today I must kill her."

Shocked registering throughout the room. Samuel, Holly, and Ethane all stunned by Nero's admission. Holly now scared of how Nero was acting, she covered her face as Ethane tried to talk some sense into Nero. "Nero, look your scaring everybody even Holly. What do you mean kill her? She's done nothing to you. Since she's arrived you've been pretty harsh on her. Why the thaw?"

Nero not trying to hear his pleas. She inched closer to Luna, her claws stretching outward she flung face first. Nero hissing her bright orange red eyes beamed with malice. She slashed out her claws. Feeling her claws slash away at her face. She noticed standing in between the two of them was Ethane. His left eye slashed and now bleeding, Nero paused. Her hands shaking uncontrollably she looked down at them and saw they were covered in blood. His blood.

"Did I… did… I… WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST DO?!!" She screamed. Shattering the glass flower pots in the room. Nero, fell to the floor. Shivering like a scared kitten, she rocked herself back and forth when Ethane kneel down beside her. His hand stretching towards her face, Nero winced from what's about to come. When all of a sudden she feels a light hand creasing then side of her face. Turning to face him. Nero eyes full of tears red tears, they spilled down her polka dot gown as she stared into Ethane's, grey eyes. Smiling at her, he spoke. "My my my, what a mess this bad little kitten has made." Grinning, he wiped her tears away. His eye steady bleeding heavily.

Nero apologized when Samuel finally spoke up. "Now Now, everyone let's just cool off. Ethane you follow me to the living area. I will get something to clean that up. It looks pretty bad." Holly worried she asked "Will he lose his eyesight?" Samuel sighing, he shrugged. "I'm not sure sweetheart. I will have to clean it first and see how deep the wound is. If it's not too deep that magic can't save it. Then I'm afraid so." Hearing these words, Luna eyes glowed. The Bodhisattva eye awaken. Ethane startled. He asked Luna to let it go. Luna walking towards Nero she pointed out a tiny single snow color hand.

A blast sending Nero straight flying backwards into the wall. Nero, coughed as blood spilled from her lips. Ethane shouting he yelled. "Nero! You're okay?" Grunting painfully, Nero got up as Luna walked slowly towards her. Her appearance changing. She became a bright color when Samuel eyes saw it. In a fit of anger and rage. Samuel called forth a incantation spell. Halting in place, Luna was unable to move. When Samuel walked towards her. His eyes full of hatred he spoke in a angry hissed. "Just why the hell are you here in my house…. WITCH?!"

Hearing the words witch. Ethane whipping his head around towards Luna, his grey eyes searching hers desperately for some kind of reason. He has hoped he didn't hear his father correctly. When She looked away from him. Clutching his chest, his eye bleeding out still. Ethane looked as if all the color had been washed out of him. Staring at her, his vision blurring he spoke bitterly. "Your…; The Immortal Witch? You… You… killed my mum."

Ethane in a rage of sorrow lunged towards Luna. His scarred left eye awakening the Bodhisattva eye. He glared with pure white hatred. It was in this moment… Luna could sense his pain.

Luna awakening the Bodhisattva eyes inside her she welcomed Ethane's attacks. Ethane unable to control his fit of rage. He called forth a thousand years of rain. Samuel Blackwood, stunned he watched as his son called forth a casters spell no one has ever seen or heard before. Luna bitterly smiling, she spokesmen through clenched lips. "I won't fight you. Ethane. Because I can't. A Witch must never fight with her Meister. I'm sorry for all the pain I have caused you, your family, the world. But there are forces unseen and unknown that you possibly could never understand."

Ethane not caring. His staff magically appeared. Full of power he swung it back and forth in the air, when he shouted the spell once more. Samuel, Nero, and Holly all watching in fear. Luna flung open her arms as tears streamed down her face. She was prepared to die. She was prepared to let the one person who's ever touched her soul and her. Smiling she closed her eyes as Ethane charged forwarded.

Standing in between the two of them in the blink of an eye. Samuel Blackwood, caught his son attacks. Sending them straight up into the roof of their home. Ethane slumped back. Tired, bloody, and bruised. He looked over at his father. "Why did you stop me?! Why did you not allow me to kill her?! Answer me damnit!" Samuel, could see the pain and anger in his sons eyes. He could hear the clenching of his jaws as he grind his teeth together in a bit to control his emotions.

Samuel knew if he hadn't stopped Ethane. The Immortal Witch would've died and not before giving the people what they deserve. Answers and Justice. Scratching his dark brown hair he waited for Ethane to calm down. The events that took place in their house will never be the same.

At last they had finally found the Immortal Witch. Unbeknownst to them all she was right underneath their noses all this time. "Um if Luna is the Immortal Witch. Why hasn't she killed all of us?" Holly peering from underneath her fathers waist. She looked at both Luna and Ethane, their eyes looking away from each other. Samuel taking in the scene in his house. He shook his head. "That my dear I have no clue myself." Luna not looking up from the floor she spoke somberly, "Because I never wanted to kill."
