Reborn

Endless darkness greeted her when she opened her eyes. Then she heard a cracking sound and she got the feeling that something split open. Light-blinding white light then shined onto Luna and she blinked, for she was in a totally different different location. It seemed like she was in a cave, however the multicoloured vines snaking along the ceiling and floor, the bright crystal illuminating the cave, the colourful herbs and bright glowing mushrooms and the grass swaying to the non-existent wind made it seem like she was in a outside in a mystical forest full of life.

She stretched her wings and- wait a minute, since when did she have wings? She glanced at herself, could she be a dragon? One of those mythical creatures that she had loved reading about.

Wings? Check

Talons? Check

Scales? Check

Dragon breath? She tried to roar and what came out was a little splutter of flame. Check

She then realised that she most likely had been reborn, though she didn't freak out like most other female protagonists, having been living on the streets since she was 5, Luna was used to all sorts of crazy things; drunk people being inappropriate, secret dealings of the so called happy stuff, a group of ladies carrying handfuls of monkeys with bird poop on their heads and even a guy who looked like he was insane, with a pot on his head, socks on his hands and squeaky rubber duck shoes, sitting in a big wok in the middle of the street, meditating.
